Warranty
Arlec guarantees this product in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law.
Arlec also warrants to the original first purchaser of this product (“you”) from a retailer that this product will be free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase; provided the product is not used other than for the purpose, or in a manner not within the scope of the recommendations and limitations, specified by Arlec, is new and not damaged at the time of purchase, has not been subjected to abuse, misuse, neglect or damage, has not been modified or repaired without the approval of Arlec and has not been used for commercial purposes (“Warranty”).
If you wish to claim on the Warranty, you must, at your own expense, return the product, and provide proof of original purchase and your name, address and telephone number, to Arlec at the address below or the retailer from whom you originally purchased the product within 12 months from the date of purchase.
Arlec will (or authorise the retailer to) assess any claim you may make on the Warranty in the above manner and if, in Arlec’s reasonable opinion, the Warranty applies, Arlec will at its own option and expense (or authorise the retailer to) replace the product with the same or similar product or repair the product and return it to you or refund the price you paid for the product. Arlec will bear its own expenses of doing those things, and you must bear any other expenses of claiming on the Warranty.
The Warranty is in addition to other rights and remedies you may have under a law in relation to the product to which the Warranty relates.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

tYpICal InStallatIon
Decide on a suitable location to mount the light/s. A transformer is provided to operate these lights at 12V (Safety
Extra Low Voltage).

1. Remove lights from their housing/
mount by pushing downward as
shown in Figure 1.

2. Make small hole through cabinet
for wiring exit see Figure 2.
3. Attach mount using screws provided.
4. Thread wiring through hole in
cabinet and attach light in position
inside mount see Figure 2.
5. Attach each light plug to output
connector. Check that locking clip
is located in position to secure the
connection together see Figure 3.
6. When installation is complete,
ensure all connections are secure,
place supply plug into power outlet
and switch on.

SafetY InformatIon
• Transformer has no user serviceable
parts. The transformer supply cord
and plug must only be replaced by
a suitably qualified person.
• Keep transformer away from wet
areas and protect against water
ingress.
• Do not cross mains (240V) and
transformer output (12V) cables.
See Figure 4.

terminals of transformer input.
• Do not allow wiring to contact the
metal housing of any light.
240V~Transformer
• Do not connect lights directly to
mains. Use only 12V transformer
with suitable output rating.
For example to supply 3 x 20W
lights a transformer of minimum
60W output rating is required.
Note: Actual output voltage of
11.5-12V is suitable.
• Do not cover the transformer or
light fitting with any heat insulating
material.
lamp replaCement
1. Switch off power to transformer.
2. Remove glass lens by using a
screwdriver to prize out glass
retaining clip.
3. Remove failed lamp.
4. Replace with new lamp of same
type and wattage.
• Do not mount light with face closer
than 0.2-0.3m from illuminated
surface. Marking on light specifies
minimum distance allowed.

5. Do not touch the new lamp with
your bare hands. This will cause
blackening and shorten the lamp
life, Use a paper tissue or similar
material.
