Overview:
Raman amplifier uses fiber non-linear Raman scattering to amplify the optical signal. In theory, it can
amplify any wavelength signals by using appropriate pump, which is ideal replacement to expand the
EDFA small gain range. Raman amplifier needs to combine multiple pumps with different wavelengths to
increase the amplifier gain range and output power. The Raman pump combiner could combine the
pumps with very low loss.
