Frequently asked questions

To modify the radio for MARS/CAP, you need to remove resistor R1275 and solder it to the blank solder pads labeled R1274.

For free band operation, remove resistor R1275.

The memory channel bug in the VX 110 and VX 150 affects memory channel #1. To fix this, you can either make memory channels 1, 2, and 200 all the same frequency, or set the "edge beep" to on.

If the radio's VCO goes out-of-lock, the display will start flashing and no receive or transmitting will be possible. This usually happens when the free band mod is performed and the radio is attempting to transmit outside of its operational range.
