Quick Start Guide USB Autolaunch Software Extension Quick Start This document describes how to install and use the USB Autolaunch software. When programming with FLIP, this application automatically executes a command file when a USB device (AT89C5122D, AT89C5130A or AT89C5131A) is connected and/or detected on a PCs USB port. This software can also be used for an easy Plug & Play firmware upgrade for USB applications. 1.1 Abbreviations USB: Universal Serial Bus FLIP: FLexible In system Programmer BatchISP : Dos executable In system Programmer VID: Vendor IDentification PID: Product IDentification 1.2 System Requirements PC running Windows® 2000/ME/98/XP Available USB ports FLIP Package software installed 1.3 Features 1.4 Installation – Easy Plug & Play Upgrade for USB Flash products: AT89C5122D, AT89C5130A, AT89C5131A – Based on Jungo driver 1. Unzip UsbAutoLaunch.zip. 2. Install Autolaunch Software - Launch setup.exe 3. Complete Serial Number (VIP/PID) - User Name and Company Name fields are not used (see Figure 1-1.) – For AT89C5130A/31A VID=03EB PID=2FFD (Default) – For AT89C5122D VID=03EB PID=2FFE USB Autolaunch Quick Start Guide -3 7529A–USB–09/05 Figure 1-1. VID / PID 1. Reboot your PC 2. Check Autolaunch installation with Atmel icon The installation example is based on AT89C5131A USB product. Step 3 has to be adapted for AT89C5122D. 3. Move C:\Program Files\ATMEL\UsbAutoLaunch\batchisp_usb.txt to C:\temp\directory. The directory can be changed as needed however batchISP command line of usb_auto_launch.bat file has to be modified. 4. Connect AT89STK05 board with in chip AT89C5130A or C5131A ISP mode set up. 1.5 USB Autolaunch USB Autolauch software requires one system file: usb_auto_launch.bat: This file is executed by USB Autolaunch when VIP/PID on USB device is detected. The file usb_auto_launch.bat contains the path and command line for batchisp software : "C:\Program Files\ATMEL\FLIP "C:\temp\batchisp_usb.txt" x.x.x\bin\batchisp.exe" -cmdfile batchisp_usb.txt: This file contains commands for BatchISP software.
