PART NO. C2045
This kit is designed to eliminate side to side movement of the rear axle housing within the frame rails
when coil-over shocks are used. It will work with Ladder Bar and 4-Link suspensions that have 3/4"
mounting bolts.
1) Left Hand Rod End (A)
1) Link Tube (C)
2) 1/2”-20 Locknut
1) Left Hand Jam Nut
1) Right Hand Rod End (B)
2) 1/2”-20 Bolt
1) Right Hand Jam Nut
2) Link Bracket (D)
1. Jack up the vehicle and support it with jack stands under the chassis. Center the rear axle housing in
the chassis and also set it at ride height.
2. Loosen and remove the bolt located on the driver’s side chassis bracket. If you have a 4-link this will
be the bolt holding the front of the lower bar. On ladder bars remove the bolt holding the front rod
end to the crossmember bracket.
3. Slide the bolt through one of the supplied link brackets and replace it into its mounting hole. The ears
of the bracket should be facing the driveshaft and be parallel with the ground. Re-install the retaining
nut on the bolt, but do not tighten completely at this time.
4. Repeat steps 2 & 3 for the passenger side lower hole located on the axle bracket.
5. Thread the left-hand jam nut onto the left-hand rod end. Thread it approximately 3/4 of the way up
the rod end threads. Repeat this process for the right hand rod end.
6. Install the rod ends into the link brackets with the supplied 1/2”-20 bolts.
7. With the threaded portions of the rod ends facing each other measure the distance from one jam nut
to the other. This will be the finished length of the tube.

8. If necessary cut the tube to match the dimension taken in step 7. Make sure that you cut off material
from the right hand threaded end of the tube. Re-tap the cut end of the tube with a 1/2"-20 Right
Hand Thread Tap. This tap size can be purchased from any hardware store.
9. Remove the rod ends from the brackets and thread them into the end of the tubes. We highly
recommend using anti-seize compound on the threads to eliminate galling and thread damage.
Install the bar assembly into the mounting brackets.
10. Re-check the positioning of the axle housing and adjust as necessary. Tighten all nuts and bolts at
this time.
11. Raise and lower the rear end assembly within the chassis and check for bind. Re-adjust as
necessary and re-tighten all nuts and bolts.
