Our ATEX electrical transformers are designed for above ground industries of where
there is a low probability of explosive atmospheres in the form of gas. The explosive
gas that may be present in the atmosphere is propane, butane, methanol or industrial
methane. The surface temperature of the equipment in normal operation is always below
the auto-ignition point of the gases present in the area i.e 200℃ for T3

The RM6 is a compact unit combining all MV functional units to enable connection, supply
and protection of one or two transformers on an open ring network. RM6 medium voltage
switchgear cubicles are very simply a perfect match for configurations with one to four
functions.

Switchboards enable on optimum and rational use of all Schneider Electric’s low voltage
products. The complete range permits to satisfy all the electrical distribution requirements,
from the generation to motor control to final distribution. Moreover, several versions are
available (rear and front access, IP44, Fixed or drawable) to satisfy all the requirements and
limitations as far as space and locations are concerned due to marine use. They have been
used, with full satisfaction of the shipowner, shipyards in all types of application from oil tankers to cruise liners.

Ease of Maintenance and Modifications
In operations of maintenance, as well as upgrading, Schneider Swithgears are easier, faster
and safer, thanks to the Polyfast system (patented system), Withdrawal of a moving part,
replacement or addition of a fixed part, and even total reconfigurations are possible without
switching off the section.

Schneider Electric makes available to the panelbuilder everything required to create tested
Prisma switchboards, including the basic configurations in the low voltage distribution
catalogue, all the documentation for switchboard design and mounting, calculation and
design software, etc. Panelbuilders can demonstrate conformity with standard IEC 614391 and 2 by presenting the declarations or certificates of conformity for type tests carried
out by independent laboratories (ASEFA, ASTA, KEMA, etc.) and supplied by Schneider
Electric. The panelbuilder is responsible for the individual routine verification and delivers
the corresponding declarations of conformity.
