 Do not use chemically distilled water. This would irreparably damage the appliance.

 Should the mains water at your locality be rated as 'hard', it is recommended that you mix mains water with some distilled water. Otherwise, the jets for the steam blast function could calcify

(become blocked) prematurely.

 To extend the optimal steam blast function, mix mains water with distilled water according to the table on the next page.

The water hardness level can be queried at your local water works.

Instruction for use

 Attach the appropriate accessory for the garment you wish to iron.

 Fill the appliance with water

 The temperature will be higher and higher with each clockwise rotation

 Plug in the Steam Brush and Iron Combination and check that the power light indicator is illuminated

 Wait for approximately one minute while the appliance heats up. Press the 'steam release' button.

This button can be pressed continuously, as continuous steam is the strong point of this item

 Before applying steam to a garment, first test the appliance on an old piece of the same material

 Move the Steam Brush and Iron Combination over the whole garment while pressing the steamrelease button to release steam evenly. The iron may be moved both horizontally and vertically.

For best results just touch the garment lightly with the iron.

 If the appliance runs out of water before you have finished ironing, allow it to cool completely before refilling it. Never use this appliance without filling it with water!

 While using the appliance, you will see that the power light indicator switches itself on and off.

This is totally normal and occurs when the appliance is adjusting the optimum ironing temperature.

 Unplug the Steam Brush and Iron Combination when you have finished using it.

WARNING: Always pull out the plug from the mains. Never pull on the power cable to switch off the appliance. Make sure that the power light indicator is off.

For best ironing results:

 Some garments should be ironed inside out.

 Trousers can be ironed more easily when held from the bottom

 When ironing, touch the fabric lightly with the iron and move it in different directions to get rid of wrinkles. It is important for the iron to touch the fabric of the garment.

 The iron will not remove stains from a garment

 Steam brush and iron combination can be used with almost any kind of fabric, including silk, cotton, polyester and wool. Please read the garment’s care label to check that it can be steam ironed. Certain materials such as leather, suede and velvet cannot be steam ironed.

 To ensure the garment can be steam ironed, test the iron on a small part of the interior of the garment. If no damage occurs, the entire garment can be ironed.

Cleaning and maintenance

 When you have finished using the Steam Brush and Iron Combination, make sure that it is completely unplugged from the mains before starting to clean it.

 Allow the water in the appliance to cool for 15 minutes. Then carefully remove the waterreservoir cap.

 Turn the appliance upside down to empty out all the water

 Clean the appliance and accessories only when they have completely cooled. The cleaning brush is ideal for removing any fluff from the accessories.

 Store the appliance in a dry, safe place

 Use only clean water. Using filtered, mineral or distilled water will prolong the appliance’s life.

Tap water can also be used

 Never put detergent, chemicals, salt, perfume, dye or any other liquid except water into the water reservoir. Many of these substances are highly flammable and may cause bodily harm, while certain additives can corrode and clog the appliance’s components.

Removing mineral deposits:

A common problem with steam irons is the accumulation of mineral deposits in the tubes, normally when tap water is used to fill the iron. To reduce or remove these mineral deposits, use filtered, mineral or distilled water. The following steps, if taken at least once a month, can be reduce the level of mineral or distilled water cannot be used:

 Ensure the appliance is unplugged from the mains and that the appliance is cool

 Make a solution that is 50% vinegar and 50% water. 60g is enough.

 Remove the water-reservoir cap and gradually pour in the solution

 Allow it to work for 40 minutes, adding more solution when the water reservoir becomes empty

 Pour the solution remaining in the water reservoir into the sink or other container
