PRELIMINARY DRAFT Specifications Subject to Change Wyse S10 Thin Client The Thin Client of Choice for Citrix ICA and Microsoft RDP Environments The Wyse S10 Thin Client is the most optimized solution for Citrix ICA (MetaFrame Presentation Server) and Microsoft RDP (Terminal Services) environments. It combines great performance, stateless operation, low power consumption, USB ports, remote management, and simple device setup and imaging. This small, lightweight, solid-state (all electronic, with no disk or fan) unit can be mounted out of the way, even on the back of a display, making the S10 ideal for any space-constrained environment. The Wyse S10 features a fast, high-resolution video subsystem that minimizes eyestrain and meets stringent health and ergonomic requirements. Four USB I/O ports allow you to connect local peripherals with ease. The highly optimized Wyse Thin OS software delivers RDP and ICA session performance that is several times faster than other full-featured embedded operating systems requiring more powerful and more expensive hardware. Image management is automated via DHCP and FTP, and Rapport handles additional remote device management. The Wyse S10 offers the utmost security and protection from viruses and malicious software because the Wyse Thin OS software does not have a publicly exposed API that can be exploited by hackers, and no data is stored on the device. Additionally, the Wyse S10 has an extremely small footprint, a key feature where space is at a premium. The S10’s small footprint and innovative monorail mounting system allow you to mount the device to a wall, desk, monitor, under a work space, within a cash register, or any other tight space. With its small footprint, built-in security, and highly optimized operating system, the S10 is the thin client of choice for enterprises and organizations running Citrix MetaFrame Presentation Server or Microsoft Terminal Services. Features Benefits RDP and ICA session support via a straightforward connection manager Choose one or both of the leading thin computing session access protocols Multiple session support with true seamless windows Increases user productivity by enabling multiple applications to run with a fully functional and familiar user interface Significantly faster remote application execution performance than most thin clients The ultra-thin and highly optimized Wyse Thin OS software achieves fast and responsive performance with modest lowcost hardware. Performance is typically up to 3x of other thin clients even those with more powerful microprocessors Image loading via DHCP and ftp Permits reconfiguration, firmware upgrades, and customized configurations either from an administration server or other desktops Plug-and-play connectivity Simple and fast to install, connect, and use out of the box Stateless device Simple install, startup, free seating, and rapid device replacement because all configuration settings are stored on a server Data security and integrity No data is stored on the thin client, so it cannot be lost or stolen Integrated 10/100 Ethernet and wireless LAN connectivity Connect to wired and wireless networks No fans or disks No motors results in lower power consumption, quiet operation, and ultra-high reliability (very high MTBF) Rapport device management software Remote management including configuration, device health, reboot, and more Small and compact unit Readily fits into most any workspace, as well as "out of the way" mounting options Three-year Buyer’s Protection Plan Assurance of reliability, availability, and performance, from the #1 thin computing vendor Wyse Thin OS Session Type ICA Features & Benefits Wyse Thin OS (formerly Blazer), adds new expanded capabilities for accessing published applications running remotely via a Citrix server or via Microsoft terminal services.
