This car seat is suitable for conventional use in all cars equipped with 3 point seat belts that are fitted in accordance with European standard (ECE-16 or equivalent standard). Only fastening by leg belt is not allowed. Seats and seat belts can be washed with warm water and soap. The removed seat cover can be washed with mild detergent and warm water. Never use the child car seat if it has been in an accident, or if it has become badly worn. Child car seat parts may become hot in direct sunlight. Cover with a sheet to prevent this. Make sure that your child never plays with the buckle as the buckle is not fully tamperproof. Ensure that all other passengers, luggage and loose objects are properly secured. This uses the car's 3-point adult seat belt to secure both the child car seat and the child. IF YOUR CHILD'S WEIGHT IS BETWEEN 15 & / 77 A Position your child on the seat, pull the 3-point adult seat belt across in front of the child and secure the buckle. Ensure that the lap part of the seat belt is resting flat across their lap and that it is routed underneath the two belt guide ‘horns’ (marked with red arrows) on either side of the booster cushion. The diagonal part of the seat belt must also be routed under the belt guide ‘horn’ on the side of the booster cushion nearest the seat belt buckle. The upper part of the diagonal seat belt must be routed through the upper belt guide (marked with a red arrow) on the appropriate side of the headrest. < Caution — ensure that the side of the seat does not press on or interfere with the buckle of the 3-point seat belt. Notice ONCE YOUR CHILD HAS OUTGROWN THE HEIGHT AND WIDTH CAPACITY OF THE BACKREST AND THEIR WEIGHT IS BETWEEN 22 & 36KG:- THE CHILD CAR SAFETY SEAT CAN BE INSTALLED AS A GROUP 3 SEAT. This version consists of only the booster cushion part of the child car safety seat and uses the car’s 3-point adult seat belt to secure both the booster cushion and the child. For Group 3 the backrest must be removed from the booster cushion. Stand the seat on a flat surface and push the backrest downwards - pictured below. The ‘hooks’ at the bottom of the backrest can then be simply lifted out of the sockets on the rear of the booster cushion. FITTING USING THE ADULT 3-POINT SEAT BELT Place the booster cushion on the car seat and position the child on the cushion. Pull the 3-point adult seat belt across in front of the child and secure the buckle. Ensure that the lap part of the seat belt is resting flat across their lap and that it is routed underneath the two belt guide ‘horns’ (marked with red arrows) on either side of the booster cushion. The diagonal part of the seat belt must not be routed under the belt guide ‘horn’. Caution — ensure that the side of the seat does not press on or interfere with the buckle of the 3-point seat belt. Cleaning Cover The cover and plastic parts should be sponged clean with a mild detergent and warm water. Do not use chemical cleaners or bleach on any part of the car seat. If the fabric cover is very dirty, the covers have elasticated edges and these can be removed from the headrest, backrest and booster cushion for hand washing (maximum temperature 300°C, do not tumble dry).
