Auto Iris Lens Connection
Zoom Lens
A lens type is to enlarge or reduce, on a continuously variable basis, the
size of a televised image primarily by varying lens focal length.
Fixed Lens
A lens type that the focal length can be infinitely varied to give the exact
image desired. It is similar to a manual zoom lens, except that a
varifocal lens cannot be zoom tracked.
C/CS-Mount
The two industry standards for mounting a lens on a camera. The CMount lens has a 17.5mm flange back distance. The CS-Mount lens
has a 12.5mm flange back distance.

Manual iris
A Lens with a manual adjustment to set the iris opening(F stop) in a
fixed position. Generally used for fixed lighting applications.
Auto iris
A lens in which the aperture automatically opens or closes to maintain
proper light levels on the camera's pickup device.

The distance (in millimeters) from the lens to the surface of the image
sensor. The shorter the distance, the wider the view : the longer the
distance, the narrower (telephoto) the view.

Outline
A zoom lens is capable of viewing at wide angles and
zooming to magnify the required viewing area. The SLA854CM-208X is an automatic iris zoom lens that is
electrically driven by video signal control. The photometric
system continuously provides an adjustable reading
between the peak and the average. Consequently, the
most appropriate image at the desired focus can be
obtained even when the contrast for the subject varies.

Outline
The advantage of the varifocal lens is that the user is able
to adjust the zoom amount to exactly what they want
within the lens' range of field. The angle of view is
adjustable which requires less lens changing when the
camera setting position is changed. Models offer a wide,
unique selection angle of images as represented by the
following focal lengths : 2.9~8.5mm, 3.5~8mm,
2.8~10mm, 5~50mm. With a convenient setting control,
the varifocal lens is more popular than any other lens
nowadays. Samsung Techwin's various varifocal lenses
provide the best solution for the problems of camera
setting.

Security Lock
Event Recording
To prevent unauthorized manipulation or accidental operation while
recording, the user can lock the functionality of the operation buttons,
the jog dial, and the shuttle ring. There are two types of security lock: a
quick method security lock and a 4 or 8 digit security lock.
When an alarm signal is received from an external sensor or a motion
on the screen is detected, the Recorder will automatically start
recording in a mode pre-determined by the user.
Text Data Recording
Video Loss Alarm
Saving of image data with relevant text data such as ATM/POS.
When the video signal feed is lost due to one of the following reasons, a
buzzer sound and the word 'Video Loss' is display panel and by buzzer.
Event Search
This feature allows the user, by typing in the number to search for an
event recording from the event list.
Jog Shuttle
Day / Time Search
Jog dial
Simply by turning the Jog dial with your finger to the left or right, the
monitored image frames can be made to run forward or backwards for
easy checking.
Shuttle ring
Searching recorded pictures is available by specifying the date and
time.
Automatic Daylight Saving Time Adjustment
Simply by turning the shuttle ring to the left or right, you can swich from
playback to forward or reverse playback, or forward or reverse fastwind search. From pause, you can switch to forward or reverse slowmotion playback, normal speed playback, or fast-wind search.
Operation of these functions is easy, allowing very efficient searching.
(*Also used to select menu options)
This feature is activated only when a region where daylight saving time
has been applied in the time zone setting menu.
Keyboard Controller
This Recorder can be controlled by keyboard controller (SCC-3100A).
Schedule Recording
Uniform daily programming or independent programming for each day
of the week are both available.
RS-485/422 Compatible
With RS-485/422 compatible Recorders various operations are possible
from an external device. Mainly Using the Speed-dome camera.
Auto Repeat Recording
When the recorder runs out of apace during recording, this feature
forces it to overwrite the recording media from the beginning.
RS-232C Compatible
A standard that describes the physical interface and protocol for
relatively low-speed serial data communications. It is used in PCs to talk
to and exchange data with modems and other serial devices.
Clock Adjustment
If multiple Recorders are used, using this feature forces timers on all
machines to be synchronized to the master recorder once a day at the
preset time.
RJ-45
The RJ-45 connector is commonly used for network cabling and for
telephony applications. It's also used for serial connections in special
cases.

Viewing Angle describes the maximum angle at which an LCD monitor
