Frequently asked questions

The EX623 can measure AC and DC current, voltage, resistance, capacitance, frequency, and temperature.

The maximum range for current measurements is 400A AC/DC, for voltage 600V AC/DC, for resistance 40MΩ, for capacitance 40mF, for frequency 100MHz, and for temperature 1832°F/1000°C.

The EX623 has a non-contact voltage detector, a non-contact IR thermometer, and a dual input thermocouple temperature sensor.

Rotate the Function switch to any measurement position. Place the detector probe tip on the conductor to be tested. If AC voltage is present, the NCV detector light will turn on with a steady red light.

Rotate the Function switch to the IR position. Aim the infrared sensor (rear of the meter) at the surface to be measured. Press the IRT button to turn on the IR thermometer and laser pointer. Read the temperature in the large upper display.
