In response to the growing interest in alternative
fuels, Edelbrock engineers

Magneti Marelli USA have
developed an Edelbrock
carburetor specifically calibrated to run E85 fuel. This
special blend of 85% Ethanol and 15% gasoline not only improves performance but reportedly lowers greenhouse gas emissions to help improve our
environment. The new Edelbrock E85 600 cfm carburetor is manufactured
specifically for E85 fuel in order to take advantage of the 105-octane rating.
In fact, testing proved that the new Edelbrock E85 carburetor improved
performance over our standard carb with regular gas. The high octane rating of E85 makes it suitable for use in high compression engines resulting
in more power while burning cleaner than gasoline alone. Featuring a hard
anodized grey finish with black powder-coated linkage, the new E85 carb
includes a complete listing of all vital parts required for the conversion of
the vehicle for E85 use. With the introduction of Edelbrock's new E85 carburetor, you can build a highcompression, high-performance engine that
uses E85 fuel, a renewable resource and less expensive alternative to racing fuel.

The Street HP uses the
best features from the race
Bred 750 CFM 4150 HP
carb, but tamed for street
use. The Street HP uses the
contoured main body from
the 4150 HP and adds a tumble polishing for a shiny finish.
The metering system includes a
timed spark port and is calibrated for
a hot street/strip engine setup for outstanding throttle response and drivability. A street HP base plate is used so there is plenty of vacuum ports for power
brakes, PCV, etc. Another main feature is the vacuum secondary system. This
system allows installation on a wider variety of applications regardless if it’s a
stick or automatic. Other features include quick change vacuum secondaries
calibrated for optimum street use, built in secondary fuel filter system in primary and secondary fuel bowls, adjustable air bleeds, two corner idle system,

How do I know if I need a mechanical or vacuum secondary carburetor?
As a rule of thumb, vacuum secondary carburetors work best on the
following:
- Relatively heavy vehicles
- Street gearing
- Automatic transmission
- Engines built more for low-end torque
Conversely, mechanical secondary carburetors seem to work best on:
- Relatively light vehicles
- Strip gearing (4.11 or numerically higher)
- Manual transmission
- Engines built more for top-end horsepower

This fuel pump features a billet aluminum base
with an extruded aluminum motor housing. It
will supply enough fuel for carbureted engines
in the 250 to over 800 hp range. It will freeflow
40 GPH at 2 volts. ( 50 GPH at 3.5 volts) At a
regulated pressure of 4 PSI it flows 35 GPH at 2
volts.The pump is internally regulated at 7 PSI.
No external fuel pressure regulator is required
with this pump unless you want less pressure
than listed for the pump. Both inlet and outlet
ports are tapped 3/8-NPT. The pumps are
anodized in an attractive combination of rich
red and bright blue.

This fuel pump features die cast aluminum construction. It flows 0 GPH (free flow) and at 4.5 PSI it
flows 70 GPH...enough fuel for approximately 800
hp. Shutoff pressure is pre-set from .5 to 8 PSI. The
lower body of the pump can be rotated to provide
different inlet/outlet port locations to suit various

Designed for 1955-86 262-400 c.i.d. Small-Block Chevy’s, the Performer Air-Gap features the air-gap
design for the ultimate street performance in the idle to 5500 rpm range. This design features an open

VICTOR JR. LS1 INTAKE for CARBURETED APPLICATIONS
Building on the success of the Performer RPM LS1 intake, the Victor Jr. LS1 intake is the next step up in
performance for the GEN II long block. Starting with the venerable Victor Jr. design, we applied that
technology to our latest offering in the form of the Victor Jr. LS1 intake. With an operating range of 35007500 rpm, this high-rise single plane intake is the right set up for big horsepower GEN II engines and is
capable of supporting up to 600 hp. Like our Performer RPM LS1 intake, the Victor Jr. LS1 accepts a
square bore carburetor and comes with an electronic timing module that picks up MAP, crank position,
and cam position in order to drive the stock Coil-on-Plug ignition system. This module also offers a
choice of several built-in timing curves, each tailored for engine displacement, cam profiles, and fuel
grades. Each intake also comes with a throttle bracket designed to work with 700R-4, 200R-4 and Turbo
350 transmissions. Most applications will require hood modifications.

The Performer X Turbo Kit is complete, street
legal and easy to install. The included piggyback
control unit means no additional tuning required when used on otherwise stock
engines. The Garrett T28 comes pre-assembled as one unit with a Ni-resist cast
exhaust manifold and elbow, inlet oil and water lines for the simplest possible
installation. The Garrett ball bearing turbo spools up fast and blows big air, but
we’ve wastegated it down to 6-7 psi to work with pump gas and still make over

The Victor 70mm and 75mm race throttle
bodies can be easily adapted to a wide variety
of applications. We eliminated the idle air
motor mount and all unnecessary vacuum
tubes, making these throttle bodies especially
well suited for boosted applications. The throttle
arm has a cable wheel with multiple take-off points. They
come complete and ready to run with a throttle position sensor
installed and pre-set. These throttle bodies can be adapted to a number of

Determining how much fuel your fuel pump needs to be able to provide is no
mystery. It’s comes down to mathematics. The engine in your car takes in air
and fuel and converts them to horsepower. To make this horsepower, your
engine will consume a certain amount of fuel referred to as the “Brake Specific
Fuel Consumption”, or BSFC. The BSFC is generally estimated to be 0.50 for
most naturally-aspirated (non-turbo/super-charged) engines.

So do the math: Horsepower x .50 = Fuel needed per hour in pounds
(pph-pounds per hour). Gasoline is calculated at 7lb per gallon

However the calculation does not end there. Factors such as engine
RPMs, the diameter of fuel line and other plumbing restrictions, the
g-forces upon launch, line pulse created by pressure regulators and other
factors affect pressure output. Therefore you must factor in a safety
margin. Most professionals recommend a safety margin of 30%.
Remember, a properly regulated fuel system will not suffer from
too much fuel, but fuel starvation can be disastrous.

Holley offers a variety of fuel pumps for most any need. There's low pressure and high pressure mechanical pumps for street or NASCAR vehicles and low pressure and high pressure
pumps for carburetor applications with flow ratings up to 500 gallons per hour. Models are

Recommendations
Fuel Pressure and Volume
The relationship of fuel pressure to volume is inversely
proportional. Simply stated, as fuel volume increases the pressure
will decrease. Fuel pumps are rated at free flow capability, with no
restrictions within the fuel system. In actual operating conditions fuel
pressure is affected by plumbing flow, devices such as
pressure regulators and filters, and the carburetor itself, causing a
loss of fuel volume and pressure. Also acceleration and other
G-forces affect fuel flow. Choose a fuel pump with adequate capabilities to flow the volume of fuel you need, at the pressure you need,
taking into consideration these types of volume and flow losses.
