The Smartfind Plus/G5 GPS EPIRB offers all the features of the Smartfind E5 but with the addition of a
high performance, multi-channel GPS which brings the location accuracy down to typically less than
62m, greatly increasing your chances of rescue in an emergency situation. The battery offers a minimum
48hr operation and a 6 year battery life. It is supplied with a manual release bracket. The EPIRB features
a comprehensive diagnostic and self-test facility to keep you up to date on remaining battery usage and
EPIRB operation.Designed to meet the requirements of both the commercial and recreational user, the
E5 features transmits on 406 and 121.5MHz and includes a high brightness LED light which helps rescue
services locate you at night or in poor visibility. Location is determined within 5km (3 miles) by
measuring the doppler shift of the EPIRB's signal through the COSPAS-SARSAT network. Once in the area,
rescue services are then able to pinpoint your precise location using inbuilt 121.5Mhz homing
transmitter.
The Smartfind/E5 EPIRB battery offers a minimum 48hr operation and a 6 year battery life. The
Smartfind/E5 also features a comprehensive diagnostic and self-test facility to keep you up to date on
remaining battery usage and EPIRB operation. The EPIRB is supplied with a manual release bracket.

The FAST FIND MAX G is an advanced Personal Locator Beacon which can be carried on your person at all
times. Easy to use, with a three-stage activation to avoid accidental operation, the FAST FIND MAX G is
waterproof to a depth of 10m and floats.
When activated, the FAST FIND MAX G transmits a unique ID and your current GPS co-ordinates via the
COSPAS-SARSAT global search and rescue satellite network, alerting the rescue services typically within 3
minutes. The inbuilt GPS pinpoints your location to within 62m and once within the area, the search and
rescue services can quickly locate you using the unit’s 121.5Mhz homing beacon and flashing LED SOS light.
The Max-G can operate continuously for a minimum of 48 hours.

An MOB device designed to be lifejacket mounted. It uses the AIS automated tracking system to transmit
MOB notifications to any AIS equipped vessels within a 4 mile (typical) range). The powerful inbuilt GPS
rapidly pinpoints and transmits your location, enabling the crew on your vessel to find you quickly and
easily, while its integral strobe light helps them spot you in the water. It is ideal for anyone who wants
peace of mind when at sea. The Smartfind S20 AIS MOB is designed to be fitted to a lifejacket using the
clips supplied, ready to be activated in the event of a man overboard situation. After the lifejacket is
inflated, pull the orange locking tab downwards which allows the red cap to be released. Pulling off the
red cap deploys the antenna and activates the S20 SRS.
The S20 AIS MOB features a high precision GPS and it will transmit position information and a serialised
identity number back to your vessel’s onboard plotter, enabling you to be quickly located and recovered.
It will transmit continuously for a minimum of 24 hours and has a 7 year battery storage life. The flashing
LED indicator light also makes you easier to spot at night.
An automatic deployment option is offered when professionally fitted to compatible lifejackets, allowing
the S20 to automatically activate when the lifejacket is inflated

Wherever you are, at sea, on land, the rescueME PLB1 provides the reassurance that
global emergency services can be alerted by the press of a button.
The rescueMe PLB1 can be operated with a single hand in even the most challenging
situations. A simple spring loaded flap covers the activation button preventing inadvertent
use.
rescueME PLB1 works with the only officially recognised worldwide dedicated search
and rescue satellite network (operated by Cospas Sarsat). As this is funded by
governments there are NO CHARGES to use this service.
When activated the rescueME PLB1 transmits your position and your ID to a Rescue
Coordination Center via satellite link. Rescue services nearest to your are promptly

Introducing the world’s smallest AIS MOB device with integrated DSC – the rescueME MOB1 from Ocean
Signal. The MOB1 is compatible with even the most compact inflatable life-jackets.
The MOB1 is intended to be installed within the life-jacket and will activate automatically on inflation,
sending the fi rst alert within 15 seconds.
The integrated strobe light ensures maximum visibility in low light conditions.
The MOB1 communicates with the vessel you have been separated from and other vessels in the vicinity
(up to 5 miles range dependent on conditions). To alert rescue authorities, an alternative product the
rescueME PLB1 communicates directly via a dedicated search and rescue satellite network.
In an emergency rescueME MOB1 provides 2 methods of rapidly communicating your position, accurate to
a few metres, back to the vessel, plus providing visual indication via its built in strobe light.
The best chance of rapid rescue if you fall overboard comes from your own vessel. Your crew needs to be
immediately aware of the incident and keep track of your position whilst recovery is carried out. Even in the
most moderate of seas it is alarming how quickly a visual sighting of a man overboard can be lost.
Once activated your MOB1 will transmit an alert to all AIS receivers and AIS enabled plotters in the
vicinity. The integrated GPS ensures precise location is sent to your vessel and any others that may be
assisting.
An additional feature of the MOB1, is its ability to activate the DSC alarm on your vessels VHF, alerting your
crew to the situation.
Compatibility: Most modern AIS plotters and DSC VHF comply with the standards required to receive MOB
transmissions. It is however, especially if you are using older equipment, recommended that you check
compatibility with the equipment manufacturer.
