Point-to-point communication is often used to communicate over long
distances between different units, e.g. a computer, a printer or a robot.
These modems allow you to extend the distance to 18,000 m, with a
transmission speed of up to 38,400 bit/s.

Transmission distance
The modems transmit data over two twisted pair cables at full/half duplex
and over one pair at simplex. The transmission speed depends on the
Cable 0.3 mm2/42 pF/m resistance and capacitance of the cable. We recommend the use of cables
with at least a 0.2 mm2 cross-section and with a capacitance of between
40-80 pF/m in industrial environments. In office environments, we

Switch settings
The MA-12 can through different switch settings be adapted to a variety of running conditions. To set the switches,
open the plastic case by placing and turning a screw-driver between top and bottom at the rear of the case.
