This manual describes the purpose for which the product has been designed and contains all the necessary information
to ensure its correct and safe use. We recommend that this manual is read before any operation or, before performing
any kind of adjustment to the product and prior to any maintenance tasks. By following all the general safety instructions

If upon inspection it is found that a fault occurring is due to defective materials or workmanship,

guarantee does not apply to normal wear and tear, nor does it cover any damage caused by
misuse, careless or unsafe handling, alterations, accidents, or repairs attempted or made by any
personnel other than the authorised Draper warranty repair agents.
Note: If the tool is found not to be within the Terms of Warranty, repair and carriage charges will
be quoted and made accordingly.
This guarantee applies in lieu of any other guarantee expressed or implied and variations of its
terms are not authorised.
Your Draper guarantee is not effective unless you can produce upon request a dated receipt or
invoice to verify your proof of purchase within the guarantee period.

| POWER SUPPLY
CAUTION: Risk of electric shock. Do not open.
This appliance is supplied with a moulded 3 pin mains plug for your safety. The value of the fuse
fitted is marked on the pin face of the plug. Should the fuse need replacing, ensure the
substitute is of the correct rating, approved to BS1362 and ASTA or BS Kite marked.

The fuse cover is removable with a small plain slot screwdriver. Ensure the fuse cover is replaced
before attempting to connect the plug to an electrical outlet. If the cover is missing, a
replacement must be obtained or the plug replaced with a suitable type.
If a replacement plug is to be fitted this must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
The damaged or incomplete plug, when cut from the cable shall be disabled to prevent
connection to a live electrical outlet.
This appliance is Class II" and is designed for connection to a power supply matching that
detailed on the rating label and compatible with the plug fitted.
If an extension lead is required, use an approved and compatible lead rated for this appliance.
Follow all the instruction supplied with the extension lead.
"Double insulated [Ol : This product requires no earth connection as supplementary insulation is
applied to the basic insulation to protect against electric shock in the event of failure of the basic
insulation.
IMPORTANT:
On products exceeding 2000W it is recommended that the power cable and/or
extension cable are fully unwound before a connection is made to the power supply.
However, ensure the residual cable does not pose a trip hazard

GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
General Safety Warnings
WARNING: When using electric tools basic safety
precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of
fire, electric shock and personal injury including the
following.
Read all these instructions before attempting to operate this
product and save these instructions.
Safe operation
1. Keep work area clear
- Cluttered areas and benches invite injuries.
2. Consider work area environment
Do not expose tools to rain.
- Do not use tools in damp or wet locations.
- Keep work area well lit.
- Do not use tools in the presence of flammable
liquids or gases.
3. Guard against electric shock
- Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded
surfaces (e.g. pipes, radiators, ranges, refrigerators).
4. Keep other persons away
- Do not let persons, especially children, not involved
in the work touch the tool or the extension cord and
keep them away from the work area.
5. Store idle tools
- When not in use, tool should be stored in a dry
locked-up place, out of reach of children.
6. Do not force the tool
- It will do the job better and safer at the rate for
which it was intended.
7. Use the right tool
Do not force tools to do the job of a heavy duty
tool.
- Do not use tools for purposes not intended; for
example do not use circular saws to cut tree limbs or
logs.
8. Dress properly
- Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery, they can be
caught in moving parts.
- Non-skid footwear is recommended when working
outdoors.
- Wear protective hair covering to contain long hair.
9. Use protective equipment
- Use safety glasses.
- Use face or dust mask if working operations create
dust.
10. Connect dust extraction equipment
- If the tool is provided for the connection of dust
extraction and collecting equipment, ensure these
are connected and properly used.
11.Do not abuse the cord
- Never yank the cord to disconnect it from the
socket. Keep the cord away from heat, oil and sharp
edges.
12. Secure work
- Where possible use clamps or a vice to hold the
work. It is safer than using your hand.
13. Do not overreach
- Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
14. Maintain tools with care
- Keep cutting tools sharp and clean for better and
safer performance.
- Follow instruction for lubricating and changing
accessories.
- Inspect tool cords periodically and if damaged have
them repaired by an authorised service facility.
- Inspect extension cords periodically and replace if
damaged.
- Keep handles dry, clean and free from oil and
grease.
15. Disconnect tools
- When not in use, before servicing and when
changing accessories such as blades, bits and
cutters, disconnect tools from the power supply.
16. Remove adjusting keys and wrenches
- Form the habit of checking to see that keys and
adjusting wrenches are removed from the tool
before turning it on.
17. Avoid unintentional starting
- Ensure switch is in “off” position when plugging in.
18. Use outdoor extension leads
- When the tool is used outdoors, use only extension
cords intended for outdoor use and so marked.
19. Stay alert
- Watch what you are doing, use common sense and
do not operate the tool when you are tired.
20. Check damaged parts
- Before further use of tool, it should be carefully
checked to determine that it will operate properly
and perform its intended function.
- Check for alignment of moving parts, binding of
moving parts, breakage of parts, mounting and any
other conditions that may affect its operation.
- A guard or other part that is damaged should be
properly repaired or replaced by an authorised
service centre unless otherwise indicated in this
instruction manual.
- Have defective switches replaced by an authorized
service centre.
- Do not use the tool if the switch does not turn it on
and off.

- The use of any accessory or attachment other than
one recommended in this instruction manual may
present a risk of personal injury.
22. Have your tool repaired by a qualified person

- This electric tool complies with the relevant safety rules.
Repairs should only be carried out by qualified persons
using original spare parts, otherwise this may result in
considerable danger to the user.
23. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by
the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified
persons in order to avoid a hazard.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety. Children should be
supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.

- UNPACKING: After removing the packing material, make sure the product is in perfect
condition and that there are no visible damaged parts. If in doubt, do not use the vacuum
cleaner and contact the dealer from whom it was purchased.
The packaging materials (plastic bags, polystyrene etc.), must be disposed of in an
appropriate refuse collection container. These materials must not be left within the reach of
children as they are potential sources of danger.

the wet/dry vac.

Verify that the power cord is disconnected from the
outlet.
Undo latches on both sides.
Lift the power head off of the container.
Remove the contents from inside the container, make
sure you have all contents as listed on page 5.

- DRY VACUUMING (Figs.5.-8.): (FIG.5 в
- WARNING: Be sure to read, understand, and apply
information, entitled 'safety instructions & warnings’. Do
not vacuum in areas with flammable gases, vapours, or
explosive dusts in the air. Flammable gases or vapours
include but are not limited to; lighter fluid, solvent type
cleaners, oil-base paints, gasoline, alcohol or aerosol
sprays. Explosive dusts include but are not limited to;
coal, magnesium, grain or gun powder. To reduce the
risk of health hazards from vapours or dust, do not
vacuum toxic materials.
Verify that the power cord is disconnected from the
outlet.
In order to prepare your vacuum for dry vacuuming,
verify that the cartridge filter is securely mounted.
Make sure the filter is pushed in until it stops against the
power head.
Place the power head back on the container, aligning
the top section with the latches, and snap into place.
Insert the locking end of the hose into the port of the (FIG.8
container and lock in to place.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS: DRY VACUUMING
(Figs.9.-11.):
Push the required attachment onto the free end of the
hose or extension.
Plug in the power cord into the outlet.
Turn the motor on by flipping the switch to the I" ON
position.
Once you have completed vacuuming, flip the switch to
the ‘O" OFF position and unplug the power cord from the
outlet.
IMPORTANT: Do not use the reusable cloth filter for
liquid vacuuming.

- WET VACUUMING (Figs.12.-15.): (FIG.12 )
- WARNING: Be sure to read, understand, and apply
information, entitled ‘safety instructions & warnings’. Do
not vacuum in areas with flammable gases, vapours, or

include but are not limited to; lighter fluid, solvent type

outlet.
After use, empty the container, clean and dry the inside
and outside before storage.
IMPORTANT: The foam filter must be removed after
wet vacuuming, and a reusable cloth filter must be
installed before dry vacuuming again.

- BLOWING (Figs.19.-22.): (FIG. 19 )
This Wet/Dry Vac has blowing capabilities. To use the
blower feature follow the instructions listed.
- WARNING: Always wear safety goggles before using
blower.
- WARNING: Keep by standers clear from blowing
debris.
- WARNING: Wear a dust mask if blowing creates dust
that might be inhaled.
Verify that the power cord is disconnected from the
outlet.
Make sure the container is empty before using as a
blower.
Remove hose from the vacuum port.
Insert the larger end of the hose into the blowing port
on the back side of the power head.
Fit the desired attachment to the hose.
Ensure the power switch is turned off and plug into the
power supply.
Before turning on the vac, firmly hold loose end of the
hose. Turn the motor on by flipping the switch to the I’
ON position.

- IMPORTANT: Clean or change the dust filter regularly
for best performance. ALWAYS USE DUST FILTER FOR
DRY VACUUMING. If the machine is used without the
dust filter, the motor will burn out and the warranty will
be voided. Always keep spare filters on-hand.
- NOTE: The filter included is made of high quality
material designed to stop small dust particles. The filter
should be used for dry pick-up only. A dry filter is
necessary to pick up dust.
If the dust filter is wet, it will clog quickly and be very
difficult to clean. Handle the filter carefully when
removing it for cleaning and replacing it. Check the
filters for tears or small holes, a small hole can let dust
pass through and out of the cleaner. Do not use a filter
with holes or tears, replace it immediately.
Verify that the power cord is disconnected from the
outlet.
Disconnect the hose from the vacuum. (fig.2)
Undo the latches and remove the power head from the
container. (fig.3)
Clear all dirt or debris from the container and hose.
(fig.4).
Clean or replace the filters.
Check the hose, attachments, and power cord to verify
that they have not been damaged.
- WARNING: Always disconnect the plug from the power
outlet before removing the power head from container.

- INSTALLING & CLEANING REUSABLE CLOTH FILTER:
- Installing Reusable Cloth Filter (Figs.27.-30.):
Verify that the power cord is disconnected from the
outlet.
Remove power head and place in upside down
position.
Slide reusable cloth filter down over the filter cage
making sure the whole cage is covered.
Replace the power head on to the container.
- Removing and Cleaning Reusable Cloth Filter
(Fig.30.):
With the removed power head in the upside down
position.
Carefully remove the reusable cloth filter from the filter
cage. Clean the filter by gently tapping or brushing dirt
off. Cleaning should not be done indoors in living
areas.
Use a mild soap and water solution to wash reusable
cloth filter and rinse with clean water.
Allow the wet filter to air dry for 24 hours before
installing onto the filter cage.

| MAINTENANCE
- INSTALLING & CLEANING FOAM SLEEVE FILTER
- Installing Foam Sleeve Filter (Figs.31.-33.):
Verify that the power cord is disconnected from the
outlet.
Remove power head and place in upside down
position. Follow instructions to remove cloth filter.
Carefully slide foam sleeve filter down over the filter
cage making sure the whole cage is covered.
Replace the power head on to the container.
- Cleaning Foam Sleeve Filter (Fig.34.):
With the removed power head in the upside down
position, carefully remove foam sleeve filter.
Use a mild soap and water solution to wash foam sleeve
filter and rinse with clean water.
Allow filter to air dry before installing and using again.
