Explanation of Terms
Sensitivity (Lux)
Quantifies the camera's low-light performance.
Measured in Lux using a lens aperture of f1.2,
the value represents the minimum scene
illumination required by the camera to
produce a useable video output.
Resolution (TV Lines)
Describes the ability of the camera to discriminate
fine detail in a scene. The higher the number of
TV Lines, the better the resolution of the camera.
AI (Auto Iris)
Dedicated connector and reference signal for
Auto Iris lenses.
DD (Direct Drive)
Dedicated connector and circuitry for
Direct Drive lenses.
DD Level
Allows the lens drive level to be adjusted for DD
type lenses.
BLC (Backlight Compensation)
Automatically compensates for the silhouetting
effect of a backlit subject.
BLC Window (Back Light Comp.)
User selectable areas for BLC control.
EI (Electronic Iris)
Feature to automatically adjust shutter duration to
compensate for fluctuations in ambient light.
GAMMA
Improves grey/black discrimination at low light
levels.
AGC (Automatic Gain Control)
Automatically adjusts the camera's gain to
compensate for poor light conditions.
Flickerless mode
Feature to prevent the strobing effect under
certain lighting conditions/shutter speeds.
Genlock
Allows multi-camera installations to be
synchronised to an externally generated
synchronisation signal.
White Balance
Shutter
Feature to preserve accurate white rendition under Analogous to the shutter in a standard 35mm film
different light source types.

LL with Phase Adjust
Allows accurate synchronisation of multi-camera

Locks the camera's frame rate to its internal
oscillator.
Peak White Inversion
Feature that allows excessively white areas in a
scene to be rendered as black and therefore not
adversely affect the camera's exposure system.
PWI Threshold
Sets the level at which the Peak White Inversion
feature operates for white areas in the scene.

Did You Know?
Did You Know Lux is the measurement of light and refers to levels of
illumination in any given area. The amount of light in specific areas
to be viewed should be given careful consideration when choosing
the right cameras for installation. It is worth noting that whilst the
table (right) gives indications of typical light levels it is recommended that a light meter is used to give accurate figures

The VCC-6580P & VCC-6585P high resolution colour
cameras from Sanyo have 1/3" CCD image sensor with
approx. 470,000 picture elements. They have a super high
horizontal resolution of 520 TV lines.

surveillance cameras pack powerful features, including an
innovative digital signal processor for Super LoLux (0.28 lux
minimum) shooting applications and outstanding colour
reproduction, yet deliver them in a package that offers

1/3-Inch CCD with 290,000 Effective Pixels
JVC’s TKC750E and TK-C751EG come with a 1/3-inch
Interline Transfer (IT) CCD for accurate colour reproduction,
high sensitivity, and crisp pictures with no image lag or
distortion.
Detail Correction — Horizontal and Vertical: 2H (dual)
JVC’s TK-C750E and TK-C751EG provide exceptional detail
- horizontal and vertical - with a 2 H line memory for security
imaging applications.
Digital Signal Processor (DSP)
JVC’s innovative Digital Signal Processor (DSP)
automatically adjusts camera parameters to ensure sharp,
natural pictures (330 TV lines of horizontal resolution) in
near total darkness. It also provides a Super LoLux shooting
capability for mission critical surveillance applications.
Automatic Gain Control (AGC)
Automatic Gain control (AGC: range from 0 to 26 dB),
supported by CCD and DSP functions, automatically
adjusts gain to the appropriate value for the ambient
lighting conditions.
Auto White Balance
Built-in Automatic White Balance Tracking (ATW) and Onetouch Auto White Balance (AWB). Auto White Balance is
adjusted automatically over the colour temperature range of
2,300°K to 10,000°K. White balance also can be adjusted
with one-touch operation for easy camera set-up under
various lighting conditions.
Signal to Noise Ratio of 50 dB at zero AGC
The signal to noise ratio of TK-C750E and TK-C751EG, at
zero AGC, is 50 dB, giving very accurate reproduction of
colours. Even if AGC is automatically activated, the pictures
remain sharp and the colours accurate.

The VPM500 & VPM502 are 580TVL high resolution
monochrome cameras which offer quality and performance.
Because the cameras are engineered to an exacting
specification you can be assured that they are robust and
suitable for use in a wide range of environments, both
internal and external.
All the cameras in the range produce quality monochrome
images even in very low light levels. They come with simple
user-adjustments and are very quick and simple to install.
The built-in backlight compensation greatly enhances their
ability to produce clear, sharp images even in areas of
differing light levels. Additionally, the Automatic Gain Control
works to automatically correct the image as lighting levels
drop.

High performance day/night operation is ensured with the
camera’s moving IR filter while the external day/night
switching point integrates with IR lighting to ensure

The VPC530/534DN/WDR are 480TVL high resolution
day/night cameras with Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) for
high contrast lighting conditions. RS485 remote control
allows installers and endusers to adjust camera features

540 TVL True Day/Night Fixed Cameras
ADCTDN cameras offer the same features as the ADCSHR
series but also include a moving mechanical IR cut filter that
provides True Day/Night functionality. For scenes with
typical lighting such as daylight or lit indoor applications, the
camera provides a 540 TVL super, high resolution image.
When light levels drop, the camera automatically removes
its’ IR cut filter and switches from colour to B/W to capture
images in very low light. This action can also be triggered
manually via an auxiliary input or can trigger an auxiliary
output to turn on optional accessories such as IR
illuminators.
ADCTDN cameras also offer many advanced, easy-to-use
features, like on-screen menu programming with default
settings. Advanced pixel correction, focus adjust mode for
focus accuracy, selectable four zone BLC, manual shutter
mode, and a monitor mode to optimise for CRT or LCD
displays are also included. For a total solution, IR corrected
lenses are available for use with the ADCTDN series.

EV 400 Colour Monochrome PIR Packaged Covert Cameras
These cameras are mounted into standard Aritech

EV 500/MPAW & EV 500/CPW Operational PIR Covert Cameras
Identical to the EV500 Aritech PIR detector, the covert
cameras match the detectors from the current intruder range
and remain completely unobtrusive when used in
conjunction with the Aritech intruder alarm systems. The
12Vdc camera is available in colour and monochrome and
incorporates a microphone for audio capability. These are
now supplied with the brackets.
These units not only offer covert surveillance capability, but
also a fully working PIR detector, allowing to initiate
recording or to integrate the CCTV system into the intruder
system.

complete with a 3.0-9.0mm auto iris high speed varifocal

Discover Indoor Mini Domes
The Discover Indoor series of Mini-Domes offers you the
budget-friendly price you want while delivering the high
quality camera you need. The Discover Indoor super high
resolution Mini-Dome has 540 TVL and also includes a userselectable Night-Saver mode. The Night-Saver mode
automatically switches the cameras to B/W in scenes with
less lighting to provide you with better low-light detail
performance.
For challenging lighting environments, a selectable
expanded auto white balance mode is available. Vivid
colours and powerful low light performance provide some of
the best images available on the market today.
Easy installation and adjustment features mean that your
system can quickly be up and running.
An advanced pivoting 3-axis gimbal lets you position the

CBC ZC-D5000 Series Super High Resolution Colour & Colour/Mono Domes
The ZC-D5000 Dome camera has a high performance CCD
image sensor combined with the new DSP chip delivering a
super high resolution of 540TVL. The dome range is
available as colour or as Day & Night. The domes come with
low voltage input, allowing either 12Vdc or 24 Vac. The
dome camera is complete with a 2.8-12.0mm auto iris high
speed varifocal lens (ZC-D5212PHA), or 2.8-12mm IR auto
iris varifocal lens (ZC-DN5212PHA), providing optimum
performance in demanding lighting conditions.
Further setup can be achieved by selecting the switches on
the camera body. These include backlight compensation,
AGC on/off, auto white balance/auto white tracing (colour
only). The camera has a 3 axis gimble for adjusting the
camera position, allowing the camera to be ceiling mounted

Sanyo minidomes are suitable for use in indoor
applications. When using a varifocal lens, objects in front of
and behind the main focus point appear blurred. This has

The Discover series of Mini-Domes delivers a vandal
resistant camera solution at a non-vandal resistant price.
This series of high performance Mini-Domes includes high
impact, vandal resistant dome housings built to withstand
even the harshest environments. Unlike other dome
housings in the industry, which are made of metal, the
Discover series housing is made with extremely durable
composite and polycarbonate materials that have “shape
memory”. The Discover housing comes with a choice of
clear or tinted vandal resistant bubbles and includes a
bubble liner to make it more covert. An advanced pivoting
axis lets you position the camera at exactly the angle you
need, while optimal white balance provides the clearest,
most colour-perfect images possible.
With three different types of mini-domes to choose from,
there’s a Discover solution just right for your particular
requirements. The Discover wide dynamic range (WDR)
Mini-Dome uses over 504 lines of resolution and a pixel-bypixel shutter speed that lets you see better in areas where
both very bright and dark areas exist, such as an
entranceway.
This model also features up to a 2x digital zoom to get an
even closer view of the action. Night-Saver mode improves
performance in low light situations, automatically switching
from colour to monochrome as light dims and reverting
back to colour once light is restored.
The WDR mini-dome also includes a DVR-Saver mode
which helps conserve valuable hard drive space, reducing
the size of video files by up to 30% when used with an
Intellex® digital video management system.
The Discover high resolution Mini-Dome has 540 TVL and

CBC ZC-OH2 Outdoor Housing
The ZC-OH2 outdoor housing gives the mini cameras in
dome housing ZC-D1036, ZC-D2550 and ZC-D3000 series.
effective protection against weather conditions, to a level
that conforms to IP 67. Tough coated materials serve as an
effective screen for the sensitive camera components. The
smooth design, practically without edges, makes it all but
invulnerable to wilful damage. In addition, the safety screws
have been kept to a minimum so as to prevent the unit’s
being opened by unauthorised persons.
The ZP-DCS10 smoke cover is enormously resistant: it can
even withstand blows from a 4.5 kg sledgehammer, without
the camera suffering any damage at all!
The ZC-FM1 embedded mount makes it possible for the
mini cameras ZC-D1036, ZC-D2550 and ZC-D3000 series to
be installed on pendant ceilings.
In addition, the ZC-PM1 adaptor for indoor housing and ZCPM2 adaptor for outdoor housing allow flexible suspension
from either wall or ceiling. To install the camera on the
ceiling, you just need to purchase the tube you require in a
suitable length. The prescribed diameter is 25.4 mm (1") for
the ZC-PM1 and 19.05 mm (3/4") for the ZC-PM2.
The ZC-WM1 and ZC-WM2 wall mount brackets already
come with suitable adapters. Both require a free surface of
no more than 113 × 113 mm to be mounted.
To give the ZC-OH2 the best possible protection against
vandalism, the cables are concealed. Where this is not
possible, the ZC-CB2 basic adaptor allows the cable to be
introduced from the side for surface mounting.
All fittings are immediately ready for use, and are provided
with everything that is needed for installation.
With the ZC-OH2, the mini camera can be mounted with
just a few simple manoeuvres. All you do is insert the entire
base of the housing, including the standard circuit board, in
the outdoor housing and screw it firmly into place. After the
camera has been positioned, the housing can remain
closed. No maintenance is necessary, which makes it the
ideal tool for systems where surveillance needs to be
carried on in the long term.
