1. What is FlexWATCH Explorer ?

FlexWATCH Explorer is FlexWATCH IP Configuration program. For Features
and application of FlexWATCH, access user manual on CD-ROM that enclosed
in product. You can also see the up-to-date documents about FlexWATCH on
Seyeon Tech’s website (http://www.flexwatch.com)
z
Basic network skills that can handle IP address, LAN, HUB, Router and
network devices are required to using FlexWATCH Explorer. Contact network
service provider or Network administrator for obtain basic network
information.
z
FlexWATCH Explorer is applicable to FlexWATCH Linux series (FW-1110 /
1150 / 1160 / 3110 / 3440 / 5000 / 5444). This document is based upon FW3440 and FW-1160 and may have differences according to respective model.
2. Installing FlexWATCH Explorer
2.1 Double-Click FlexWATCH Explorer icon:
to start wizard.
2.2 Click Next.
On the Welcome page, read the explanatory text and check version number of
FlexWATCH Explorer, and then click Next.

2.3 Specify destination folder and click Install.
Default location of destination folder is “C:\ProgramFiles\FlexWATCH\FlexWATCH
Explorer”. To install on different location, click Browse and select your location and then
click Install.
2.4 Click Finish (complete installation)
After install FlexWATCH Explorer on your computer, click Finish to complete
installation. To reinstall or remove FlexWATCH Explorer refer to next page.

3. Remove FlexWATCH Explorer
3.1 Remove FlexWATCH Explorer
To remove FlexWATCH Explorer, Click Start, Click Programs, Click FlexWATCH,
Click FlexWATCH Explorer and then click Uninstall.
3.2 Click Next.
3.3 Click Uninstall.

To execute FlexWATCH Explorer, double-click shortcut to FlexWATCH Explorer on
your desktop or click Start, Click Program, Click FlexWATCH, and then click FlexWATCH
Explorer.

5. IP Assignment
This Chapter describes 4 methods to setup FlexWATCH for connect to network.
z
Assign static IP address.
General IP assignment method to setup public or private static IP address.
z
Assign IP address using DHCP
IP assignment method using DHCP to connect FlexWATCH by cable modem or
VDSL.
z
Assign IP address using PPPoE
IP assignment method using PPPoE to connect FlexWATCH by xDSL
z
Assign IP address by auto recommendation on FlexWATCH Explorer
FlexWATCH Explorer can recommend and assign IP address automatically.
5.1 Assign static IP address.
Static IP address can be assigned when using public static IP or private static IP in IP
sharer / router environment.

Connect PC to FlexWATCH for IP assignment

Direct cables are used for FlexWATCH connected through a hub to local PC.
-
Cross-Over cable is used for connected FlexWATCH to local PC directly.
Execute FlexWATCH Explorer, select device on the search list and then
click IP Setup button or right-click on list to pop-up menu and then click
IP Setup.

Type proper IP Address to assign FlexWATCH server for
network environment.
A NetMask is used to divide an IP address into subnets and
specify the networks available hosts. Contact network
administrator for configuration.
Default Gateway will be inserted by wizard program
automatically.
(If not, type noted from network administrator.)
Domain Name Service is an internet or other type of
network server that helps to identify domain names.

After finish IP configuration, click Connect icon to access FlexWATCH. See
live view of FlexWATCH or specify system configuration on admin menu. See
chapter ‘6. How to see live view from FlexWATCH’ for see live view and
‘user manual for FlexWATCH’ for system configuration.
5.2 Assign IP address by auto recommendation on FlexWATCH Explorer.
FlexWATCH Explorer finds empty IP address in local area network. You can use
recommend IP address of FlexWATCH Explorer or change configuration to assign
FlexWATCH.
(Notice: Auto recommended IP address is based on C-Class or lower Sub-Net. This
recommendation searching current active device, IP collision can be happened by poweron of other device with same IP assignment.

list, select server for assignment and then click Recommend IP Setup

User can use or modify this value.

5.3 Assign IP address using DHCP.
DHCP method can be used for local area network environment with DHCP server.
Also cable modem, VDSL and xDSL with auto-dial up for internet connection can be used.

Connect PC to FlexWATCH for IP assignment.

Direct cables are used for FlexWATCH connected through a hub to local PC.

Cross-Over cable is used for connected FlexWATCH to local PC directly.
See chapter ‘5.1 Assign static IP address’ and assign any static IP address
with same network class to PC and FlexWATCH.
Or you can easily specify IP address by chapter ‘5.2 IP assignment by auto
recommendation on FlexWATCH Explorer’

After finish IP configuration, click Connect icon to access FlexWATCH. See
live view of FlexWATCH or specify system configuration on admin menu. See
chapter ‘6. How to see FlexWATCH’s live view’ for see live view and ‘user
manual for FlexWATCH’ for system configuration.
* Be sure to select AOIP Enable for remote access to FlexWATCH.

Execute FlexWATCH Explorer again.
Select FlexWATCH on search list, Click IP Setup and then specify DHCP
option.
Or select FlexWATCH on search list, right-click on list, click IP Setup on
menu item and then specify DHCP option.

Check whether IP type is set to DHCP, connect FlexWATCH to VDSL or
cable modem. In local network with DHCP server environment, connect
FlexWATCH to HUB on local network.
5.4 Assign IP address using PPPoE

Connect PC to FlexWATCH for IP assignment.

Direct cables are used for FlexWATCH connected through a hub to local PC.

Cross-Over cable is used for connected FlexWATCH to local PC directly.
See chapter ‘5.1 Assign static IP address’ and assign any static IP address
with same network class to PC and FlexWATCH.
Or you can easily specify IP address by chapter ‘5.2 IP assignment by auto
recommendation on FlexWATCH Explorer’

Check whether IP type is set to PPPoE, connect FlexWATCH to xDSL or other
network device directly.
6. How to see live view from FlexWATCH
After IP assignment, you can see the live view from FlexWATCH by using
standard web browser as Internet Explorer or Netscape. Click Connect icon on
FlexWATCH Explorer, then web browser will run and connect to FlexWATCH server
automatically.
When using static IP, Input IP address on browser to access FlexWATCH server.
When using dynamic IP as DHCP or PPPoE, connect to AOIP server and access
FlexWATCH server through AOIP account login.
You can see images by access Live View or Voyager.

6.1 FlexWATCH Live View
Live View is Active-X control program to see images and control PTZ or AUX.
Live View Control program should be installed to see images, it will be installed
on internet automatically. Please install Live View Control from enclosed CD if
internet connection is not present.

6.2 How to use FlexWATCH Voyager.
FW-Voyager is Network DVR Software and provided as free. This software
offer simple live view function plus recording function contained motion detection
feature. Voyager program should be installed to see images, it will be installed
automatically in internet connected PC.
