1. Sicherheitshinweise

•

Dieses Gerät ist nur für die Verwendung in geschlossenen Räumen (nicht im

Freien) erlaubt.

•

Es erlischt der Garantieanspruch, bei manuellen Veränderungen des Gerätes.

•

Nur von ausgebildeten Fachkräften reparieren lassen.

•

Benutzen Sie nur Sicherungen desselben Typs und nur Originalteile als

Ersatzteile.

•

Um Feuer und Stromschläge zu verhindern, schützen Sie das Gerät vor

Regen und Feuchtigkeit.

•

Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker, bevor Sie das Gehäuse öffnen.

1.1. Hinweise für den sicheren und einwandfreien Gebrauch

Vorsicht bei Hitze und extremen Temperaturen!

Stellen Sie das Gerät an einem Ort auf, wo es keinen extremen Temperaturen, Feuchtigkeit oder

Staub ausgesetzt ist. Betreiben Sie das Gerät nur in einer Umgebungstemperatur zwischen 0°C

(32°F) - 40°C (104°F). Setzen Sie das Gerät nicht direkter Sonneneinstrahlung oder Wärmequellen aus.

Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Feuchtigkeit, Wasser und Staub!

Das Gerät sollte nur an Orten aufgestellt werden, an denen keine hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit herrscht. Stellen Sie keine Flüssigkeiten auf oder in die Nähe des Systems.

Stellen Sie das Gerät immer auf festen Untergrund!

Stellen Sie das Gerät auf einen festen Untergrund, um Vibrationen zu vermeiden.

Benutzen Sie keine chemischen Mittel zur Reinigung!

Metallteile können mit einem feuchten Tuch gereinigt werden. Bevor Sie das Gerät säubern, ziehen

Sie immer den Netzstecker!

Wenn das Gerät nicht richtig funktioniert!

Der Benutzer sollte nicht versuchen, das Gerät eigenständig zu warten. Alle Reparaturen und

Servicearbeiten sollten von einem qualifizierten Techniker durchgeführt werden.

Gehen Sie sorgsam mit dem Netzkabel um!

Ziehen Sie niemals am Netzkabel, um das Gerät vom Strom zu trennen! Wenn Sie das Gerät über einen längeren Zeitraum nicht benutzen, ziehen Sie den Stecker des Netzkabels aus der Dose.

ACHTUNG!

Der Garantieanspruch erlischt, bei Schäden die durch Nichtbeachtung der Anleitung verursacht werden. Der Hersteller und Importeur übernimmt für Folgeschäden die daraus resultieren keinerlei

Haftung. Nur ausgebildete und unterwiesene Fachkräfte dürfen den korrekten elektrischen Anschluss durchführen. Alle elektrischen und mechanischen Anschlüsse müssen entsprechend der europäischen Sicherheitsnormen montiert sein.

2. Einführung

Vielen Dank, dass sie sich für den ARC X-One entschieden haben. Entpacken sie das Gerät vorsichtig und kontrollieren sie, dass alle Komponenten vorhanden sind. Bitte vergewissern sie sich dass ihr Paket in gutem Zustand ist und keine Beschädigungen vorweist. Falls doch informieren sie das Transportunternehmen umgehend und bewahren sie die Verpackung auf. Die Verpackung sollte im Übrigen immer aufbewahrt werden, da bei Reparaturen das Gerät in der Originalverpackung zurück geschickt werden sollte, um Beschädigungen während des Transportes zu vermeiden.

3. Einrichten

3.1. Installation

Das Gerät muss an zwei unabhängigen Flugsystemen an einer Truss aufgehängt werden. Nutzen sie dafür Truss Clamps. Zusätzlich muss ein Safety benutzt werden um das Gerät vor ungewolltem

Herunterfallen zu schützen. Jede Hängevorrichtung muss mindestens das 10-fache Gewicht des

Gerätes halten können! Alternativ können sie das Gerät auf seine Gummifüße stellen. Hierbei achten sie bitte auf eine ausreichende Sicherung gegen das weg kicken mit dem Fuß bzw um keine

Stolperfallen zu erstellen.

Hier können sie ein DMX Kabel einstecken. IM

Master Slave Modus kommt das Kabel von ihrem

Mastergerät, im DMX Control Modus kommt das

Kabel von ihrer Konsole.

Verbinden sie von hier per DMX Kabel zum nächsten Gerät. Achten sie auf die DMX Norm!

Hier wird das mitgelieferte Stromkabel eingesteckt. Verbinden sie das Gerät erst mit dem Kabel und dann mit dem

Hauptstromanschluss!

3.3.1. DMX Kabel

Die DMX Kabel müssen einen XLR Stecker männlich und einen XLR Stecker weiblich an den Enden besitzen.

Achten sie darauf, dass am Ende ihrer DMX Kette ein sogenannter Terminator gesetzt wird. Das DMX

Signal könnte sich am Ende ihrer Kette aufschwingen und Störungen verursachen. Durch einen

Terminator wird das verhindert. Um einen Terminator herzustellen löten sie einfach einen 120 Ohm ¼

Watt Resistor zwischen die Pins 2 und 3.

Alternativ können sie sich einen solchen Terminator im gängigen Fachhandel kaufen.

Die DMX Norm schreibt vor niemals mehr als 32 Geräte zu verbinden, bzw nicht mehr als 100m Kabel zu nutzen. Sollten sie mehr benötigen empfehlen wir die Nutzung eines DMX Boosters oder Verteiles.

4. Bedienung des Menüs

Erfahren sie hier welche Menüfunktionen es gibt, und welche Werte sie beeinflussen können:

Menü 1:

DMX 512 Drücken Sie Enter. Das Display zeigt DMX 512 18CH oder DMX512 12CH zeigt

Hier stellen sie folglich ein, mit wie vielen Kanälen sie das Gerät steuern mögen.

Mit den UP/DOWN Tasten können sie zwischen den zwei Werten hin und her schalten. Drücken sie erneut ENTER um die DMX Adresse von 1 – 512 einzustellen.

Drücken sie ENTER um die Einstellung zu speichern!

Mit den UP/DOWN Tasten können sie nun zum nächsten Menü schalten:

Menü 2:

TILT Drücken sie ENTER. Das Display zeigt Tilt No, oder Tilt Yes. Hier stellen sie ein, ob sie Tilt invertieren wollen mit Yes oder ob sie es nicht wollen mit No. Mit den

UP/DOWN Tasten können sie zwischen den zwei Werten hin und her schalten. Drücken sie ENTER um die Einstellung zu speichern!


Menü 3:

Manual Drücken sie ENTER. Das Display zeigt Ch01 – CH18,mit einer darauf folgenden 3 stelligen Zahl. Hier können sie alle Kanäle, die sie per DMX steuern würden auch manuell einstellen. Wählen sie mit den UP/DWON Tasten den richtigen Kanal aus, dann bestätigen sie mit ENTER. Wählen sie nun mit den UP/DOWN Tasten den

gewünschten Wert aus und bestätigen sie erneut mit ENTER. Machen sie das so lange bis alle gewünschten kanäle so eingestellt sind wie sie es wünschen. Mit Menü wechseln sie erneut das Menü.


Menü 4:

Test Drücken sie ENTER. Das Display zeigt einen der folgenden Punkte an:

Gehen sie wie bei Unlock vor nur wählen sie dieses Mal ihre eigenen drei Zahlen oder das

Standard Passwort und schützen sie das Gerät mit einem Passwort vor ungewolltem Zugriff.

Schalten sie das Gerät erneut aus und ein um die Änderung wirksam zu machen.

Re-Def Bestätigen sie mit ENTER um die Funktionen des Gerätes auf Werkseinstellungen zurück zu setzen


Menü 7

Reset Bestätigen sie mit ENTER um die Funktionen des Gerätes zu reseten und neu zu starten.

6. Safety instructions

This device is suitable for indoor use only.

All modifications to the device will void the warranty.

Repairs are to carry out by skilled personnel only.

Use only fuses of the same type and original parts as spare parts.

Protect the unit from rain and humidity to avoid fire and electric shocks.

Make sure to unplug the power supply before opening the housing.

6.1. FOR SAFE AND EFFICIENT OPERATION

Be careful with heat and extreme temperature

Avoid exposing it to direct rays of the sun or near a heating appliance.

Not put it in a temperature bellow 32°F /0°C, or exceeding 104°F /40°C.

Keep away from humidity, water and dust

Do not place the set in a location with high humidity or lots of dust.

Containers with water should not be placed on the set.

Keep away from sources of hum and noise

Such as transformer motor, tuner, TV set and amplifier.

To avoid placing on un-stable location

Select a level and stable location to avoid vibration.

Do not use chemicals or volatile liquids for cleaning

Use a clean dry cloth to wipe off the dust, or a wet soft cloth for stubborn dirt.

If out of work, contact sales agency immediately

Any troubles arose, remove the power plug soon, and contact with an engineer for repairing, do not open the cabinet by yourself, it might result a danger of electric shock.

Take care with the power cable

Never pull the power cable to remove the plug from the receptacle, be sure to hold the plug. When not using the device for an extended period of time, be sure to disconnect the plug from the receptacle

Make sure the electrical connection is carried out by qualified personnel. All electrical and mechanical connections have to be carried out according to the European safety standards.

7. Start Up

Thanks for using our ARC X-One. Carefully unpack the box and check the contents to ensure that all parts are present and in good conditions. If anything looks as if it has been damaged in transit, notify the shipper immediately and keep the packing material for inspection. Again, please save the carton and all packing materials. If a fixture must be returned to manufacturer, it is important that the fixture has to be returned in the original manufacturer box and packing.

8. Set Up

8.1. Installation

To mount this item to a truss system it has to be flown by two different flying systems. You should use two truss clamps to do so, and you have to use an additional safety rope to secure the unit against falling down. Each clamp or mounting part has to be able to hold 10 times the weight of the Arc X-

One. Alternating you can stand the item on the ground on its rubber feet. If you do that make sure that the unit is secured against kicking it from the stage.

8.3.1. DMX Cable

Cables must have a male XLR connector on one end and a female XLR connector on the other end.

A word on termination: DMX is a resilient communication protocol, however errors still occasionally occur. Termination reduces signal errors, and therefore best practices include the usage of a terminator in all circumstances. If you are experiencing problems with erratic fixture behavior, especially over long signal cable runs, a terminator may help to improve the performance.

To build your own DMX Terminator: Obtain a 120-ohm, 1/4-watt resistor, and wire it between pins 2&3 of the last fixture. They are also readily available from specialty retailers.

The DMX Restriction says that you are not allowed to daisy chain more than 32 units and that you are not allowed to use more than 100m cable in between. If you need more cable or more unites to control, we recommend the use of a DMX booster or a multiconnector.

9. Using the menu

Here we explain the menu functions and how you can influence or set up them.

Menu 1

DMX 512 Press ENTER. Now the display shows DMX 512 18CH or DMX512 12CH.

In this menu you can adjust how many channels you want to use to control this unit by DMX. Use the UP/DOWN Buttons to set 12 or 18Ch. Press

ENTER again to enter the address menu. Here you can use the UP/DOWN

Buttons to adjust your dmx start address from 1 – 512. Press again ENTER to confirm your operation and to save your settings.

With the UP/DOWN Buttons you can step to the next menu:

Menu 2

Tilt Press ENTER. Now the display shows Tilt No or Tilt Yes..Here you can set up if you want to invert Tilt or not. No for not. Use the UP/DOWN Buttons to change the desired value and press ENTER to confirm and safe.

Menu 3

Manual Press ENTER. Now the display shows CH01 – CH18 with a following number with 3 digits. Here you can adjust manually every Channel which you would control by dmx normal. Choose the right channel by using the UP/DOWN

Buttons, then confirm with ENTER, now use the UP/DOWN Buttons for choosing the desired value, and confirm again with ENTER. Repeat this step until you set all channels to the desired values. With MENU you can step back to the former menu.

Test Press Enter and the Display shows one of the following points:

PassWord Press ENTER. The Display shows PassWord UnLock, or PassWord Lock.

Choose with UP/DOWN the desired menu to set up.

Press ENTER. Now you can set up three numbers by using ENTER and UP/DOWN buttons. Set the correct three numbers to unlock the unit. The changes will be valid when the unit

Reset

PassWord Lock was turned off and has been turned on again.

The Default password is 988.

Proceed as with unlock but in this case choose your own three numbers to set a new password to secure the unit from unwanted users.

Power off the fixture and turn it on again to validate the changes.
