Frequently Answers and Questions

How do I adjust the pointer?

Use a straight edge to mark a 12 foot line on a smooth level concrete surface. Place the saw parallel to the line, lower the blade, and center it over the line. With the blade centered over the line and the saw frame parallel to the line, lower the front pointer assembly and position the pointer over the line. Adjust the pointer in or out if the orange wheel is off the line by loosening the thumbscrew on the end of the pointer. Align the orange wheel with the line and tighten the thumbscrew. Roll the saw along the entire length of the line to ensure proper alignment.

How do I change the oil?

Refer to the engine manual for details. The engine is shipped with no oil in the crankcase. Make sure the engine and oil are warm and your saw is on level ground to get an accurate oil level reading. Check the engine manual for details on the type and amount of oil required.

How do I adjust the depth of cut?

Turn the depth control wheel until the blade touches the ground. Then, turn the depth gauge indicator dial clockwise until it reads zero.
