The next generation MediaWall® processors are fully real time display wall systems
for arrays of projectors, cubes or flat panel displays. Unique among display wall
processors, the MediaWall 4500 and 4200 are based on a custom, high performance
architecture rather than a PC, with faster updates, more display flexibility, robustness
and security. Real time display of inputs is guaranteed under all conditions, without
dropped frames.
The MediaWall 4500 processor can display up to 30 graphics and video signals on
up to 12 screens in a 3x4 array; the MediaWall 4200 can display up to 12 graphics
and video signals on up to 8 screens in a 2x4 a rray. Images can be displayed
anywhere, any size, within or across screens, in correct aspect ratio or stret ched to
fit, in whole or zoomed to emphasize detail s. Unlike other video/data walls,
MediaWall processors have essentially no limits on display alternatives; the multiscreen array forms a truly virtual screen in whi ch any display of windows is possible.
Input alternatives include RGB/ DVI and analog video modules. HD-SDI modules
will be available in the near future.
Graphics signals are selectable up to 1920x1200 and 2048x1152 pixels. HD and
digital cinema resolutions up to 2048x1080p are also supported. Standard video
inputs include composite, component and S-Video. Background images, up to the
aggregate resolution of the display wall, can be loaded from compact flash cards
or over a network.
DVI inputs include built-in cable equalization on all inputs to increase cable lengths
to 50 meters without the need for external signal extenders. On DVI outputs,
500mA of power is available for pin-powered devices, obviating the need for external
power adapters.
Control is available via USB, RS-232, or Ethernet port. A web browser based control
system provides both local and remote operation, with a graphical representation of
the wall and “drag and drop” window positioning and scaling.
MediaWall processors offer 24/7 robustness. They come packaged in rack mountable
enclosures with replaceable air filters and redundant power supplies, providing
excellent solutions for challenging environments. Most importantly, MediaWall
processors provide the security and reliability of an embedded operating system and
the absence of hard drives.
The processors work with almost any display devices. They offer adjustments to
compensate for the bezel bet ween panels and overlapped outputs to support
edge blending on a continuous screen. Output resolution can be adjusted to the exact
resolution of a display device up to 1920x1200, 2048x1152 or 2048x1080 p,
the highest resolution of any data/video wall.
A full array of features includes dynamic window sizing and positioning, smooth
zooming within images, custom borders, titling, programmable presets, backgrounds
and logos. Available options include Advanced Windows Control Panel (digital clock,
on-screen cursor control and multi-level password control) and KVM control.

The MediaWall 2500 processor can display up to eight graphics and eight video signals
over six screens, the model 2000, six graphics and six videos over four screens.

The MediaWall Duo delivers full functionality for larger display
wall arrays with one easy to use virtual control panel. Even with

MediaWall Duo 4500 supports up to sixty graphic and video
inputs across a 3x8 array. Input windows can be configured to
be global (anywhere on the wall) or regional (located on the left
half or right half of the wall). MediaWall Duo 4200 supports

4x4 array.

The modern multi-viewer and videowall should allow for the display of visuals, computer and video in the most useful form
possible on a dynamic basis. For example, windows can be positioned to juxtapose related information and scaled to emphasize
importance. Advances in interface design have incorporated a cursor into the display space itself, providing on-screen control
and even allowing the cursor to do duty as a pointer. What is needed beyond this is to integrate control of the source computers
displayed, creating in effect, a giant “Multi-window Desktop.” This calls for a harmonizing application that blends control of
the display space as well as the source computers, seamlessly and in real time.
RGB Spectrum offers a powerful, novel solution for its MediaWall®, SuperView® and QuadView® HD display processors,
which it calls Integrated Control System with KvM (Keyboard, video, Mouse). This provides a unified display space where
users can control the display as well as the displayed computers with a single mouse and keyboard. The KvM system is a
hybrid using a combo of direct connection for the video, in order to ensure visibility of all inputs with real-time updates, with
IP connectivity for the keyboard and mouse; hence, the change in nomenclature to KvM from the more traditional KVM.
No pure IP network solution comes close in performance. Popular KVM applications such as GoToMyPC® and pcAnywhere™
depend on IP networks for transport of the video. These and similar applications used by other display processor manufacturers
can offer only very poor response time due to network bandwidth limitations.
Consider a configuration consisting of source computers, a display processor and a control PC. The computers and the display
processor are interconnected over an IP network with a keyboard/mouse agent installed on each of the source computers.
An on-screen cursor provides control of both the functions of the processor (e.g., window sizing and positioning) and the
source computers displayed. The mouse offers two modes of operation – system mode for the display processor and computer mode
for the PCs. Visual clues - the size and shape of the on-screen cursor - indicate the current mode of operation. The user
switches between modes by clicking on the mouse, on the background for system mode and in a window for computer mode.
The visuals are displayed in real time, as is the movement of the on-screen cursor.
The result is a level of responsiveness and functionality unavailable until now.

The ComputerWall® is a multi-screen display controller designed to
meet the needs of command centers and control rooms, where
a single input needs to be scaled for display over multiple screens.
High-resolution graphics, video and HD sources can be displayed
in real-time across a 1x2 or 2x2 wall configuration. Larger walls
can be served using multiple ComputerWall units.
User-selectable output guarantees a perfect match with any monitor,
projector, cube or flat panel display. High quality processing maintains
image detail and resolution, a critical factor when images are magnified
under high ambient light conditions.

A 1x2 configuration is an ideal solution for displaying 16:9 HD
images up to 1920x1080p resolution on standard 4:3 projectors or

The ComputerWall requires no special software. With “plug and play”
autosyncing, it easily connects to source signals via an external switcher.
Signals can be routed from ComputerWall processors directly to the

The next generation SuperView ® 5000 processor is a fully real time

The SuperView 5000 offers up to 12 windows with user selectable signal types.
Input alternatives include RGB/DVI and analog video modules. HD-SDI
modules will be available in the near future. Images can be displayed anywhere,
any size, in correct aspect ratio or stretched to fit, in whole or zoomed to
emphasize details.
The system provides plug-and-play capability with a wide range of inputs.
Graphics signals are selectable up to 1920x1200 and 2048x1152 pixels.
HD and digital cinema inputs are also supported up to 2048x1080p. The
SuperView 5000 is HDCP compliant, allowing it to accept protected content.
Standard video inputs can be composite, component or S-Video. Optionally,
background images can be loaded from compact flash cards or over a network.
DVI inputs include built-in cable equalization to increase cable lengths up
to 50 meters without the need for external signal extenders. 500mA of power
is available on DVI outputs for pin-powered devices, obviating the need for
external power adapters.
Control is offered via USB, RS-232, or Ethernet. A web browser based control
system provides both local and remote operation. The user interface features
"drag and drop" window positioning and scaling.
The SuperView 5000 processor works with any display device. Output resolution
can be adjusted to the exact resolution of any display up to 1920x1200,
2048x1152, and 2048x1080p, the highest resolution of any multiviewer.
A full array of features includes dynamic window sizing and positioning,
smooth zooming within images, custom borders, titling and programmable
presets. The SuperView 5000 offers optional redundant power supplies,
background/foreground compact flash reader/writer, on-screen digital clock,
multi-level passwords, and KVM control.
The SuperView 5000 offers 24/7 robustness. It comes packaged in a compact rack
mountable enclosure with replaceable air filters, providing an excellent solution
for challenging environments. The SuperView 5000 represents the state-of-the-art
solution for decision making venues, including network operations centers (NOCs),
tactical operations centers (TOCs) and emergency operations centers (EOCs).

The SuperView® 4000 series is a high performance family of multiviewers for
displaying computer and video signals. The model 4000-4/4 simultaneously
displays up to four RGB/DVI/HD signals plus four video signals from sixteen
switched inputs. The model 4000-6/6 displays up to six RGB/DVI/HD signals
plus six video signals from twenty-four switched inputs, and the model 4000-8/8
eight RGB/DVI/HD signals plus eight video signals from thirty-two switched
inputs.
Each input can be sized and positioned anywhere on the screen, as well as panned
and zoomed to emphasize areas of particular interest. Display alternatives are
virtually infinite, and include quad split, side-by-side, picture-in-picture, and
overlapping windows.
With borders and titling, backgrounds, dynamic window sizing and positioning,
and smooth pan and zoom, the SuperView 4000 is ideal for any application
requiring display of multiple images on a monitor or projector.
User-selectable output settings up to 1920x1200, insure a perfect match to any
display. With DVI inputs and outputs, a completely digital signal path can be
maintained from signal source to display.
On some models, logos and background images can be loaded from compact
flash cards or over a network.
Control is provided via an RS-232 or Ethernet port. A web browser based control
system offers both local and remote operation. The user interface provides a
graphical representation of the screen with “drag and drop” window positioning
and sizing.
Models 4000-6/6 and 8/8 offer optional redundant power supplies, compact flash
reader/writer, on-screen digital clock and KVM control.

The QuadView® HD offers the most powerful image processing
available in a compact multiviewer, with outstanding image quality,
plus a web based control, dynamic window sizing, borders and
titling, smooth zoom/pans and more. The QuadView HD is ideal
for any application requiring display of multiple images on a monitor
or projector.
The QuadView HD accepts high resolution DVI, RGB, HD, S-Video,
component and NTSC/PAL composite video. Up to twenty four
sources can be connected, four of which can be displayed simultaneously.
The QuadView HD offers the highest quality graphics and HD rendition,
with state-of-the-art deinterlacing and scaling. Its picture quality sets a
new standard for the industry.
An agile video switcher accepts up to sixteen video inputs, user
configurable as sixteen composite, eight S-Video or five component
video inputs, in any combination. Up to sixteen video inputs can be
cycled through a single window at user selected timing intervals.
The QuadView HD supports real time, dynamic movement and
resizing of windows. Each input can be scaled and positioned
anywhere on the screen, as well as panned and zoomed to emphasize
areas of interest. Display alternatives are virtually infinite, and include
quad split, side-by-side, picture-in-picture, and overlapping windows.
User-selectable output resolutions of up to 1920x1200, 2048x1152,
and 2048x1080p ensure a perfect match with any display. With DVI
inputs and outputs, a completely digital signal path can be maintained
from signal source to display.
Two exciting new display options are offered. The Background Video
Option includes a package of capabilities, including an on-screen digital
clock, logo or other foreground graphic, a live background or static
backgrounds loaded over the Ethernet. A second option offers KVM
capability to provide control of any computer or network controllable
device displayed. Best yet, KvM™ is RGB Spectrum’s patent pending
implementation of traditional KVM, with full bandwidth video directly
connected to the processor; only control signals are passed over the
network. This implementation guarantees real time video performance,
unavailable in other systems.
All functions are easily set up and controlled using a command line
interface from either the USB or Ethernet ports, or graphically via a
standard web-browser.

The QuadView® 2+2, DualView ™ 2 and 4 View™ display processors
provide viewing of multiple video and computer signals on a single
screen. Each provides some of the functionality of RGB Spectrum’s
more advanced multiviewers at an attractive price.
The QuadView 2+2 processor displays up to four signals from ten
switched inputs. The user can choose up to any four signals for display
from two RGB/DVI/HD and four composite/S-Video inputs, unlike
lesser systems restricted to two of each type. In addition, inputs can be
displayed at any size and position, either under “click and drag” cursor
control or from presets.

The Quadra™ DVI offers four real time scalers in a 1RU enclosure,
each capable of scaling, converting and/or synchronizing up to four
RGB, DVI and video signals. In a mixed DVI/RGB distribution
network, the Quadra can serve as a gateway to or from a DVI switcher.
The unit accepts signals up to 1920x1200 pixels and converts them
to any RGB or DVI format. All output signal parameters are user
selectable, including line rate, frame rate, interlacing and blanking.

Compact 1RU chassis
Pan and zoom functions allow selective extraction of any portion
of an image for cropping or aspect ratio adjustment. Conversion
to lower line rate signals can be executed by extracting a portion of
the original signals or by down-converting the entire raster, or a
combination of extraction and down-conversion. All functions are
easily set up and controlled using a command line interface from
either the RS-232 or Ethernet ports.
The Quadra DVI sets a new standard for multi-format scan conversion
and scaling with a full range of digital and analog inputs and outputs,
four independent processing channels, synchronized outputs and the
smallest footprint in its class.
The Quadra is genlockable to an external reference signal applied
to input 1. All output signals can be locked to this external reference,
or to a user-selectable timing.

RGB Spectrum’s XtendView® FiberDVI™ is a compact single fiber DVI cabling
solution for distances up to 600m. Fiber DVI consists of transmit and receive
plug-in modules, with industry standard SC type jacks for easy connection
of the fiber. This “all-in-the-headshell” solution uses miniaturized electronics
that fit entirely within the DVI connector housing, eliminating the need for
external boxes and cables, and greatly simplifying installation.

Video and EDID on one fiber
EDID is combined with the DVI video, so only a single fiber is required,
an advance over multi-fiber fiber solutions.
Plenum rated fiber available
Fiber optic cable is ideal for transmitting DVI signals over moderate to long
distances. It is lightweight, secure, and immune to EMF and RFI interference.
Different cable types are available for special requirement s, including plenumrated
and armored. Where “sniff-proof” security is needed, fiber is the
preferred solution.
For added ease of installation, transmit modules offer external power or
PIN-power.
With easy-to-terminate SC connectors, XtendView FiberDVI is an elegant
solution for moving DVI signals.

The BP-16 is a 16-button remote control panel for use with RGB
Spectrum products. Versions are availablefor routing inputs and
outputs on Linx™ switchers and for preset selection on most
RGB Spectrum products.
Ethernet network capability all ows the BP-16 to work over a LAN
or WAN. Each unit has its own configurable IP address and can
be used in a net work environment or connected directly to a unit.
The networkable architecture allows multiple BP-16s access to
the same device.
With a unique chassis design, the BP-16 can be mounted in a rack
or used on a desktop. Two units fit in a single rack space. The
desktop footprint is compact and ergonomic. The switcher’s high
quality pushbuttons are back-lit by an LED with selectable light
levels. Removable button caps allow for custom labels to reference
named presets.
Like all RGB Spectrum products, the BP-16 is designed to operate
under the most demanding conditions. The steel chassis and
top-rated switch assemblies make this a unit that performs well,
feels solid and is 24/7 dependable.
