Disassembly guide Step Description Picture Finished product Separating main unit 1. Rotate the main unit 90 from base degrees so it is perpendicular to the base. You should be able to see a small alignment bump on the side of the ball joint. 2. Pull the base away from the main unit, and they will separate (ball and socket joint). Base disassembly 2 1. Remove the two screws from the bottom of the base 2. Pry off the metal plate from the top half of the base. 3. Remove the rubber socket joint from the bottom half of the base. Pull off the focus ring by gently pushing on its locking tabs. 2. Remove the LED post. Main unit disassembly 1. Remove the 2 mounting screws. 2. Gently pull the PCB out of the housing – be careful, as the cable is attached to it. 3. Remove the button plate from the top of the housing. Pillar replacement If the main pillar has been separated from the housing: 1. Apply CA glue to the outer edge and surface of the pillar’s insertion plug. 2.
