SUPREME - A New Definition of HD
SUPREME series cameras are characterized by their extreme video clarity, which ensures accurate color reproduction and
fulfills requirements for the most critical application environments. High definition 2-, 3-, and 5-megapxiel resolution ensure
exceptional details and razor-sharp images. Exceptional 60 fps @ 720p HD as well as 30fps @ 1080p Full HD ensure
smooth, crystal-clear video when monitoring fast-moving scenes or action at high speed.
Advanced Features
The followings are important advanced features offering on certain SUPREME series models:
The outstanding sensor and color reproduction technology, Supreme Night Visibility, makes for vivid, clear nighttime
vision for with high image quality. The WDR technology can ensure an identifiable image in challenging lighting conditions
and generate image quality similar to the capabilities of the human eye. In addition, the adoption of P-iris lens offers optimal
images in all lighting conditions with better contrast, clarity, and depth of field.
The Smart Focus System contains Focus Assist Button and Remote Focus. To make installation and adjustment easier,
VIVOTEK adopts lenses with built-in stepping motors that the installer can use to remotely control the focal length and focus,
offering more hassle-free installation and maintenance. As for outdoor series, the implementation of Extreme Weather
Proof including Wide Temperature Range and IP66/67 makes the SUPREME series extremely durable and reliable.

Real-time Video Transmission
Installation and maintenance of an IP surveillance system have been proven to be more cost-effective than the analog
coax cabling since the network infrastructure to date is well deployed. Wireless connection and PoE (Power over
Ethernet) technologies further bring the cost-saving benefits to IP surveillance. PoE allows the network camera to be
powered by the original network-cabling infrastructure while 802.11b/g WLAN enables users to reduce the overall
cabling costs and simplify the installation procedure.

able to provide you with the ideal solutions by Mega-pixel resolution or higher and progressive scan technology.
Progressive CCD sensor scans all the lines simultaneously so as to present high resolution snapshots in all
circumstances. VIVOTEK has a series of progressive scan CCD network cameras, which are able to capture and
deliver crystal clear, razor-sharp images of fast-moving objects without pixilated edges that traditional interlaced CCD
cameras or CCTV cameras cannot achieve. On the other hand, mega-pixel resolution is another way to improve video
quality. VIVOTEK’s award-winning mega-pixel network cameras are capable of capturing more details with wide
coverage of a scene, at least three times better than an analog camera does.

P-iris
Several VIVOTEK Cameras are able to transmit two-megapixel video at 30 fps rate with H.264 compression, while conventional
megapixel cameras generally only achieve 10 to 15 fps due to hardware limitations. The ability to view and record footage at a full
frame rate enables much more effective surveillance.
The Full HD network cameras can capture a much more extensive area than a standard VGA camera can, significantly reducing
the number of cameras required. It is especially well suited to monitor broad indoor spaces such as building entrances and airport
terminals, and is highly effective for applications requiring accurate recognition, such as identification of people or license plate
numbers.
The advanced P-Iris lens controls the iris opening with extreme precision at an optimal level at all times via the built-in stepper motor,
resulting in superior sharpness and depth of field as well as image quality.

WDR (Wide Dynamic Range)
When shooting in high contrast, backlight, glare and light reflection environments such as the entrance, ATM or the window side,
the subject will appear dark and unrecognizable. WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) technology can ensure an identifiable image of the
subject under such conditions by appropriately exposing the entire scene, both the darkest and brightest parts. VIVOTEK’ s WDR
technology enables the cameras to cope with challenging light conditions.
JPEG, MPEG-4, and H.264
IP surveillance relies on video compression to reduce requirements for transmission bandwidth and storage space. The main
stream compression standards widely used in network cameras are MJPEG, MPEG-4, and H.264. MJPEG is the most popular
compression standard for still images. MPEG-4, on the other hand, finds the differences from a reference key frame, leaves out
redundant information and compresses only frame-to-frame differences, thus significantly reduces the file size and bandwidth
usage. Similar to MPEG-4, H.264 provides a more efficient method of compression with more precise motion search and
prediction. Though H.264 requires more powerful CPU capability, it has a higher compression ratio than MPEG-4. VIVOTEK
network cameras currently provide all above triple-codec compression, allowing user to choose for various applications.

Smart Focus System
The key components of VIVOTEK Smart Focus System include Focus Assist
Button and Remote Focus. To make installation and adjustment easier, VIVOTEK
adopts lenses with built-in stepping motors that the installer can use to remotely
control the focal length and focus. The Focus Assist Button can aid an installer to
precisely adjust the camera focus. When pressing the Focus Assist button on the
camera unit, an indicator will be displayed on screen with detailed focusing
information, which will vary in accordance with the manual adjustment. Moreover,
holding down the button will zoom in on the target area for fine tuning, resulting in
better usability and picture clarity. In addition, by utilizing the included
stepping-motor lens with Remote Focus functionality, a user can also easily zoom
in on a target area and make adjustments from a remote site, offering more
flexible, hassle-free installation and maintenance.

Multiple streams allow each video stream to be delivered in a different resolution, frame rate, and image quality for individual quality or bandwidth
Conventional network cameras require a power cable for power supply and an Ethernet cable for data transmission. PoE
(Power-over-Ethernet), developed by the IEEE802.3af task force, enables power to be supplied over the same Ethernet cable, and
thus eliminates the use of power cables. By connecting a PoE-supported camera to a PoE switch, you need not deploy additional
power cables. PoE Plus is the advanced version of traditional PoE. Following the new IEEE 802.3at standard, PoE Plus can provide
up to 30 watts of power supply, giving network cameras more flexible, hassle-free installation.
