• ATTENZIONE

Durante le fasi di uso o manutenzione, devono essere prese alcune precauzioni onde evitare danneggiamenti alle strutture meccaniche ed elettroniche del prodotto.

Prima di utilizzare il prodotto, si prega di leggere le seguenti istruzioni. Prendere visione del manuale d’uso e conservarlo per successive consultazioni.

In presenza di bambini, controllare che il prodotto non rappresenti un pericolo.

Posizionare l’apparecchio al riparo dagli agenti atmosferici e a distanza di sicurezza dall’acqua e da luoghi ad alto grado di umidità.

Non avvicinare il prodotto a fonti di calore (radiatori, fari, etc.).

Evitare che qualsiasi sostanza liquida vada all’interno del prodotto.

Per le versioni con amplificatore incorporato sono necessarie ulteriori precauzioni:

Collegare il prodotto ad una linea di alimentazione adeguata facendo uso del cavo rete in dotazione, controllando sempre che sia in buono stato.

Fare attenzione che il punto di alimentazione sia dotato di una efficiente presa di terra.

-

Disconnettere il cavo rete se non viene usato per un lungo periodo di tempo.

In caso di guasto o manutenzione questo prodotto deve essere ispezionato da personale qualificato quando:

Ci sono difetti sulle connessioni o sui cavi di collegamento.

-

Sostanze liquide penetrano all’interno del prodotto.

Il prodotto è caduto e si è danneggiato.

• CAUTION

When using any electric product, basic precautions should always be taken, including the following.

Read the instructions, before using the product and retain them for future reference.

- To reduce the risk, close supervision is necessary when the product is used near children.

- Protect the apparatus from atmospheric agents and keep it away from water and high humidity places.

- This product should be situated away from heat sources as radiators, lamps, etc.

- Care should be taken so that objects do not fall onto and liquids are not spilled inside the product.

The versions with built-in amplifier need extra precautions:

- Connect the apparatus to a power supply using only power cord included making always sure it is in good conditions.

- Make sure that power supply has a proper ground connection.

- Power supply cord should be unplugged from the outlet when left unused for a long period of time.

In case of fault or maintenance this product should be inspected only by qualified service personnel when:

- There is a flaw either in the connections or in the connecting cables.

- Liquids have spilled inside the product.

- The product has fallen and been damaged.

come risposta per gli utilizzatori che chiedono un prodotto di alta affidabilità e di pregevole qualità sonora, a un prezzo conveniente. La cassa trapezoidale è realizzata in legno composito a bassa risonanza rinforzato internamente, ricoperto con una moquette antracite ignifuga classe 1 molto resistente (

SMART

PLUS

) e in legno multistrato di faggio da 15mm, rinforzato internamente con rivestimento in vernice antigraffio e punti di sospensione M10 (

SMART V

PLUS

). Inoltre è dotata di una robusta rete metallica che protegge i componenti acustici, di comode maniglie ergonomiche in metallo per un trasporto facile, di resistenti piedini in gomma e di una flangia in alluminio pressofuso per la sistemazione su supporto. I nuovi diffusori sono dotati di protezione elettronica sui driver per le alte frequenze, per ottenere la massima affidabilità in tutte le applicazioni. Una nuova tromba a guida d’onda ellittica 90°x60°, a copertura costante, è stata progettata e accoppiata a un driver a compressione per ottenere una migliore definizione delle alte frequenze. I nuovi woofers lavorano in perfetta combinazione con i driver, grazie al crossover passivo interno a 12dB/oct. Tutti i diffusori sono provvisti di doppi connettori professionali SPK4MP a 4 poli per un’ottima trasmissione della potenza e per avere la possibilità di collegare i diffusori in parallelo. Tutti i nuovi diffusori sono stati sottoposti a una profonda revisione tecnica dei componenti per migliorarne le prestazioni, aumentandone la potenza e l’efficienza. I subwoofer della serie hanno la possibilità di collegare un diffusore medio-alto (satellite) su un’uscita passa-alto a 160Hz, per formare sistemi a 3 vie. La serie è provvista di un’ampia scelta di sistemi adatti per ogni esigenza musicale e per tutti i tipi di installazione. Le versioni amplificate della serie incorporano amplificatori dinamici con tecnologia mosfet, che assicurano grande affidabilità e alta potenza d’uscita in dimensioni e peso ridotti. Come per tutti i diffusori Proel, è disponibile una linea completa di accessori (supporti da pavimento, supporti da parete, cavi di connessione).

Proel has developed the new

SMART

PLUS

-

SMART V

PLUS

series to meet today’s market demand for highly reliable speaker systems with remarkable sound quality and affordable prices. The trapezoidal enclosures are made using high grade low-resonance composite wood, coated with class 1 type compact carpet (

SMART

PLUS

), and with 15mm quality beech plywood with pre-fitted suspension points (M10 thread/eyebolt) and finished with anti-scratch paint (

SMART V

PLUS

). A thick metal grille protects the transducers against damage; all models are also equipped with practical metal handles for easy transport, strong rubber feet for secure positioning, and die-cast aluminium sockets to allow stand mounting.

The new speakers feature electronic protection for the high frequency compression drivers to ensure the maximum power output and maximum safety at the same time. A new 90°Hx60°V wave guide horn coupled with new 1” compression drivers, has been designed specifically to produce crisp, clear and powerful sound in any application. The new woofers perfectly mate with the drivers, thanks also to the built-in passive crossover at 12 dB/oct. All systems are equipped with dual 4-pin SPK4MP professional connectors for excellent power transfer and parallel connection possibilities. Each speaker has undergone a profound technical innovation of the components for improved sound performance, power and efficiency. The sub-woofers, including the brand new SMT18SP-SMTV18SP with a single 18” woofer, are equipped with a high-pass 160Hz/cut output to enable connection of mid-high satellite speakers thus forming 3way systems. The series offers a wide range of systems for any sound reinforcement need or musical genre. The powered versions of the series incorporate dynamic Mosfet power amplifiers: this has the advantage of high reliability, high power output, reduced weight and dimensions. As for all Proel speakers, a complete line of optional accessories is available: speaker stands, wall adjustable arms and speaker cables.

• PACKING

The packing of this product has undergone an integrity test according to ISTA

1A procedure.

It is recommended to inspect the product after the unpacking.

If any damage is found, notify immediately your dealer.

Then save the complete packing for inspection. Proel declines every responsibility for damage caused by transport.

• SPEDIZIONI E RECLAMI

Le merci sono vendute “franco nostra sede” e viaggiano sempre a rischio e pericolo del distributore.

Eventuali avarie e danni dovranno essere contestati al vettore.

Ogni reclamo per imballi manomessi dovrà essere inoltrato entro 8 giorni dal ricevimento della merce.

• SHIPMENTS AND CLAIMS

The goods are sold “ex works” and always travel at the risk and danger of the distributor.

Eventual damage will have to be claimed to the freight forwarder.

Every claim for broken packs will have to be forwarded within 8 days from the reception of the goods.

series speakers are provided with a warranty of operation and conformity to its own data sheets, as declared by the manufacturer.

The operation warranty is valid for 24 months after the purchase date.

Defects detected within warranty period of validity on sold products, due to defective materials or manufacturing faults, must be promptly reported to your dealer or distributor, enclosing written evidence of the date of purchase and description of the type of defect detected. Warranty excludes defects caused by improper use or tampering.

Proel SpA will verify the validity of the claim through examination of the defect in relation to proper use and the actual validity of the warranty.

Proel SpA will eventually provide replacement or repair of the products declining, however, any obligation of compensation for direct or indirect

1. POWER ON

Interruttore di accensione e spegnimento dell’amplificatore.

2. MAINS AC

Presa di alimentazione a vaschetta. Utilizzare il cavo in dotazione per la connessione dell’amplificatore alla rete di alimentazione.

Attenzione! In caso di rottura del fusibile si raccomanda di sostituirlo con uno dello stesso tipo.

3. GND LIFT

Interruttore per disconnettere il collegamento di terra dal circuito audio dell’amplificatore.

4. INPUT/LINK

Ingressi linea bilanciati. Su questi ingressi può essere collegata l’uscita di un mixer o di un’altra sorgente audio e consentono di rilanciare il segnale verso altri apparati. È necessario utilizzare un cavo di segnale audio di tipo schermato. Per evitare la generazione di rumori indesiderati o danni all’amplificatore, non utilizzare mai cavi per diffusori.

5. VOLUME

Controllo del livello del segnale in ingresso.

6. SIGNAL/CLIP

Clip: indicatore di intervento del limiter.

Signal: presenza di un segnale esterno.

7-8. ON / PROTECT

On: indicatore dello stato di accensione dell’amplificatore. Protect: Indicatore dello stato di protezione dell’amplificatore dovuto a temperatura eccessiva sullo stadio di potenza o corrente continua sulle uscite. Se l’amplificatore permane nello stato di protezione, si prega di contattare un centro di assistenza autorizzato PROEL.

9. STEREO / MONO

Questo interruttore consente l’utilizzo del subwoofer sia in configurazione stereo (1 sub + 2 satelliti) che in configurazione mono (2 sub + 2-4 satelliti), esempi a pag. 11.

10. OUTPUTS

Uscita filtrata (passa-alto) del segnale in ingresso per la connessione ad un satellite amplificato (Vedi 12 e 13).

11. PHASE

Questo interruttore inverte la fase del segnale inviato all’amplificatore del subwoofer.

12. 160Hz / 100Hz

Questo interruttore consente di scegliere la frequenza di taglio del crossover tra 160Hz e 100Hz,

BUILT-IN AMPLIFIER

1. POWER ON

Amplifier On/Off switch.

2. MAINS AC

3-pole mains AC socket. Use cable (provided) to connect the amplifier to mains power supply.

Warning! In case of fuse break, it is recommended to replace it with one of the same type.

3. GND LIFT

Switch used to disconnect earth connection from amplifier audio circuit.

4. INPUT/LINK

Balanced line inputs. It is possible to connect a mixer output or another audio source output to these inputs and send the signal to other units.

It is necessary to use a shielded audio signal cable. To avoid unwanted noises or damages to the amplifier, do not use loudspeaker cables.

5. VOLUME

Level control of the input signal.

6. SIGNAL/CLIP

Clip: indicates limiter activation.

Signal: external signal present.

7-8. ON / PROTECT

On: indicates the amplifier is on.

Protect: indicates the state of protection of the amplifier due to excessive temperature on the power stage or continuous current on the outputs. In case the amplifier remains on state of protection, please contact PROEL Service Department.

9. STEREO / MONO

This switch enables the subwoofer to be used in either stereo (1 sub + 2 satellites) or mono (2 subs + 2-4 satellites), examples page 11.

10. OUTPUTS

Filtered output (high-pass) of the input signal for routing to an amplified satellite (See 12 and 13).

11. PHASE

This switch inverts the signal phase sent to the subwoofer amplifier.

12. 160Hz / 100Hz

This switch allows the crossover frequency to be selected between 160Hz e 100Hz.

13. FILTER / FLAT

This switch enables to send to the “out” connectors (See 10) either a flat or filtered signal.
