The toner empty indicator will light up when the toner is low. When there is no toner left, the LED will stay lit. To replace the toner cartridge, open the top cover and remove the old cartridge. Then insert the new cartridge and close the top cover.

When distinctive ringing is turned on, the fax machine can receive faxes even if you are on the line, and you can still answer phone calls on the same line.

It is advisable to have a separate line for the fax machine. You can then leave the machine in Fax Answer Mode to receive faxes at any time of the day or night. The unit must be connected to a two wire system. If your line has more than two wires, proper connection of the fax machine can not be made.

To make a copy, simply load your document in to the document tray or ADF, then press the Copy key. You can make single or multiple copies, and you can also reduce or enlarge the copies. The machine can hold up to 200 sheets of plain paper or up to 10 envelopes.

To send a fax, first load the document into the automatic document feeder (ADF) or manual feed slot. Ensure that the document is not jammed, and that the document guide is adjusted properly for the paper. Then press the Start key to begin the transmission.
