Insert the stem at least two inches into the thickest part of the product for testing only.
WARNING: Do not leave in product during cooking, as damage to the thermometer and/or product
will result!
All Miljoco Pocket Test thermometers are factory-calibrated before shipment to be accurate within ± one scale division.
However, the instrument may be subjected to mishandling during transportation, therefore accuracy should always be
verified against a known standard before installation. To verify accuracy, follow the steps outline below:

Hold the thermometer head in one hand.
Slide the white sheath up the thermometer stem until the pocket clip touches the rear of the thermometer
case.
Turn the sheath so that the pocket clip catches and turns the adjusting lug, which will in turn move the
pointer.
The pointer should read 33°F while the stem is immersed into a vessel filled with crushed ice and water.
The pointer should read 212°F when the stem is immersed into a vessel filled with boiling water.
Cleaning

Remove sheath from thermometer stem before cleaning.
Clean thermometer and sheath by gently wiping with soft cotton cloth or sponge soaked with lukewarm water
and mild dish detergent.
Rinse thoroughly under hot water and air-dry to prevent cross-contamination.
Re-insert thermometer into sheath and store in a clean, dry place.
CAUTION: Do NOT wash thermometer or sheath in dishwasher and avoid immersion of thermometer
wherever possible.
