Service Information
What This Warranty Does Not Cover
The cleaner is designed to pick up dirt and dust particles. Avoid picking up hard or
sharp objects with the cleaner to avoid bag breakage, hose clogging, or possible
motor damage.
Your Eureka cleaner is warranted to be free from all defects in material and workmanship in normal household use for a period of one year. The warranty is granted only to the
original purchaser and members of his or her immediate household. The warranty is subject to the following provisions.
GENERAL INFORMATION
What This Warranty Covers
THE EUREKA LIMITED WARRANTY
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is
wider than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does
not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.
HOW TO MAINTAIN
Routine maintenance helps avoid unnecessary service calls. Be sure to check dust
bag and brush roll belt often to be certain vacuum cleaner works properly.
Detachable Dust Bag
The dust bag should be emptied often especially when vacuuming plaster dust or fine
sand. The fine particles clog bags and restrict air movement decreasing the cleaning
efficiency of the vacuum cleaner.
NOTE: Turn off power switch and unplug electrical cord before cleaning dust
bag. Never operate vacuum cleaner without dust bag.
1.
Lift hook on each side of bag to
release bag.
2.
Shake bag contents into
suitable container. If further
cleaning is desired, brush
inside of bag with a whisk
broom.
3.
TAB
HOOK
Push bag over unit and press
until hooks snap over tabs.
NOTE: Never wash or dry clean cloth bag.
Brush Roll
As the brush roll rotates it sweeps and picks up particles of dust. Keep brush roll free
from hair or thread so it continues to clean.
NOTE: Turn off power switch and unplug electrical cord before cleaning brush
roll.
Brush Roll Belt
The brush roll belt rotates the brush roll to provide better cleaning. The belt should be
checked regularly. Replace belt when it appears to be stretched or cracked and not
turning the brush roll properly.
NOTE: Turn off power switch and unplug electrical cord before replacing belt.
Belt pulleys can become hot during normal use. To prevent injury,
avoid touching belt pulley when servicing drive belt.
CAP
1. Pull flexible cap
from front of nozzle.
MOTOR
PULLEY
2. Rotate belt
motor pulley
off
3. Remove two screws from
