Remarks:
1: Analog audio only supports two channels, so set audio format of the source to PCM (2 ch.) There is
no signal on the analog out whether HDMI audio stream is AC3 or DTS because no decoder is mounted
inside.
2: SPDIF out format is dependent on the embedded digital audio in the incoming HDMI input. HD01-2
only strips the digital audio from the HDMI stream and provides it on the SPDIF output
3: EDID: Updated from DVI monitor. Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) is a data structure
provided by the display to describe its capabilities to a graphics card. This enables a graphic card to
know what kind of monitor is connected
4: Don’t disconnect the DVI-D destination during normal functioning. In some cases, this may cause a
loss of the DVI-D out signal. To restore the normal condition unplug and replug the incoming HDMI
signal or Switch-off then Switch-On the HD01-2.

Trouble Shooting:
1.
Only on the HDMI TV sets with Underscan/Overscan feature the full video can be
accurately displayed. If Underscan/Overscan is not supported, the top, bottom, left and
right border of the active video can be screened and the SPDIF audio may not be
decoded right.
2.
SPDIF audio input can provide up to 5.1 format. If your TV doesn’t support DTS
decoding, connect an external decoder or amplifier to energize loudspeakers.
3.
SPDIF supports only 48 KHz sample rate. The source should be adjusted to 48 KHz in
order to have an audio signal correctly sent.
4.
If the green led doesn’t light on, it means that incoming HDMI signal is not recognized.
