There are three models: HyperDeck Shuttle, HyperDeck Studio, and HyperDeck Studio Pro. Each model offers different features and capabilities.

HyperDeck uses standard 2.5” SSDs. Refer to the manual for a list of recommended SSDs.

You can format the SSD as either HFS+ or exFAT using Disk Utility on Mac OS X or the Format dialog box on a Windows computer.

Connect your HyperDeck to your computer via USB and launch HyperDeck Utility. Follow the onscreen prompts to update the software.

HyperDeck can record uncompressed 10 bit QuickTime files, Apple ProRes, and Avid DNxHD. Ultra HD 4K recording is available on the Studio Pro model using ProRes codecs.

RS-422 control allows you to remotely control HyperDeck Studio and Studio Pro models from an external RS-422 controller or capture device.

Ensure your camera supports trigger recording via HD-SDI, enable Trigger recording in HyperDeck Utility, and press the REM button on your HyperDeck Studio model.
