Pro-Ject RPM 1 Genie audio turntable Instructions for use

Below you will find brief information for audio turntable RPM 1 Genie. The turntable is supplied with a factory fitted and adjusted cartridge. It is advisable to remove the stylus tip from the gauge whilst making adjustments to avoid damage to the stylus. The turntable is supplied with a power supply suitable for your country's mains supply. Pressing the power switch alternately starts or stops the motor. When the Pro-Ject Speed Box ore the Speed Box SE are used speed change between 33 and 45 r.p.m. is electronic. There is no need to move the belt manually.

With a record on the platter, loosen the screws in the tonearm base and slide the arm up or down until the tonearm tube is parallel to the record surface.

Slacken the screw at the bearing end of the arm just enough to revolve the arm tube without force. Use a magnifying glass to adjust the needle until it is vertical in the groove.

Move the belt (2) over the larger diameter part of the motor pulley (1) for 45 r.p.m., or to the smaller step on the pulley for 33 1/3 r.p.m.

If the player is not used over a long period of time, the drive belt can be removed to prevent unequal stretching.

Connect the white wire to the left channel positive (L+), the red wire to the right channel positive (R+), the green wire to the right channel return (R -), and the blue wire to the left channel return (L -).
