To release the SHURE STAKE mechanism, push up on the release bar until the ratchet teeth are disengaged.

Remove dust, moisture, and other contaminants with a clean brush or a soft, lint-free cloth. Make certain all pins, pivot points, and bearing surfaces are protected with a THIN coat of any good SAE No. 20 motor oil. DO NOT oil excessively.

The gaging requirements for the tool are specified in Table 1. The nest B is for wire sizes #16-#14, the nest C for #12-#10, and the nests D,E for #8-#6.
