Introduction
INSPECTION
GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
Carefully unpack and inspect your new ProTeam vacuum for shipping
damage. Each unit is tested and thoroughly inspected before shipping.
For instructions regarding any shipping damage, contact ProTeam
immediately at 1.800.541.1456. All returns must have a Return
Authorization Number (RAN). Products covered by this instruction
manual are intended for commercial use.
THESE VACUUMS MUST BE GROUNDED. If a vacuum should malfunction or
stop working, grounding provides a path of least resistance for electrical current,
thereby reducing the risk of electrical shock. This unit is equipped with a cord that
has an equipment-grounding conductor and grounding plug. The plug must be
inserted in an appropriate outlet that is properly installed and grounded in
accordance with all local codes and ordinances. Cutting off the ground wire or
using a cord that is not equipped with a ground plug will void the warranty on the
unit, and ProTeam will accept NO liability associated with the unit.

DO NOT vacuum hazardous or toxic materials.
DO NOT use vacuums to pick up flammable or combustible materials and
do not store them in the filter bay.
MOTOR
Electric thru-flow vacuum motors must never be used in applications in which
wet or moist conditions are involved, where dry chemicals or other volatile
materials are present, or where airflow may be restricted or blocked. Such
motors are designed to permit the vacuumed air to pass over the electrical
wiring to cool it. Therefore, any liquid (including water), dry chemical, or
other foreign substance which would come in contact with electrical conductors
could cause combustion (depending on volatility) or electrical shock. Failure to
observe these precautions could result in property damage and severe personal
injury, including death in extreme cases.
ELECTRICAL
All backpack models are available in 120 volt/60 Hz. Some ProTeam models
are available in 220 volt/50 Hz. Call ProTeam for availability of 220 volt/50 Hz
vacuums. Severe changes in voltage, high or low, can cause damage to the
motor and cause premature motor failure. Model numbers and specifications
can be obtained by calling ProTeam.
Some of the vacuum cleaners described in this manual are equipped with
thermal protection. The integrated thermal switch will remove power from the
vacuum motor in the event excessively high operating temperature is detected.
This condition is normally the result of a blocked vacuum passage or clogged or
full filter bag.
Should a thermal trip take place, immediately turn off the vacuum, inspect for
a blockage and verify the condition of the filter bag. The vacuum will require
several minutes to cool down to a safe operating temperature. When this
temperature is attained the vacuum will automatically function properly.

WARNING: Improper connection of the equipment-grounding connector
conductor can result in a risk of electrical shock. Check with a qualified electrician
or service person if you doubt that the outlet is properly grounded. Do not modify
the plug provided with the vacuum. If it will not fit the outlet, have a proper outlet
installed by a qualified electrician.
This appliance is for use on a nominal 120-volt circuit, and has a grounded plug
that looks like the plug illustrated in sketch A in Figure AA. A temporary adaptor
that looks like the adaptor illustrated in sketches B and C may be used to
connect this plug to a 2-pole receptacle as shown in sketch B if a properly
grounded outlet is not available. The temporary adaptor should be used only until
a properly grounded outlet (sketch A) can be installed by a qualified electrician.
The green colored rigid ear, lug, or the like extending from the adaptor must be
connected to a permanant ground such as a properly grounded outlet box cover.
Whenever the adaptor is used, it must be held in place by a metal screw.
Note: In Canada, the use of a temporary adaptor is not permitted by the
Canadian Electrical Code.
For Canada – This appliance is for use on a nominal 120-volt circuit and has a
grounding attachment plug that looks like the plug illustrated in sketch A in
Figure AA. Make sure that the appliance is connected to an outlet having the
same configuration as the plug. No adaptor should be used with this appliance.

7. DO NOT pull or carry the vacuum by the cord or use the cord as a handle. Do not
close a door on the cord or pull the cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not
run over the cord. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
8. DO NOT pull on the cord to unplug. Grasp the plug at the outlet and pull.
9. DO NOT handle the plug or vacuum with wet hands.
10. DO NOT put any objects into openings. Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all
parts of the body away from openings and moving parts. Long hair should not
hang over or near the unit.

or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.

Preventative Maintenance
WARNING:
TROUBLESHOOTING
The following information is for use by qualified service personnel only and
provides guidance for troubleshooting and maintenance.
1. If the vacuum will not operate, check the following:
•
Unplug the vacuum when working on the motor or any electrical part.
• Have a qualified service person at an authorized ProTeam Warranty Station check the
carbon brushes. If carbon brushes are not checked and replaced to maintenance schedule listed on pg. 7, warranty will be void.
• Do not lubricate the motor.
• Do not tie extension cord and power cord together. Doing so will result in damage to both cords and will not be covered under warranty.

c. That the switch is in the “on” position and functioning properly
2. If the pigtail (18" power cord) is getting warm, check to see that the
extension cord does not exceed a length of 50 feet at 16 gauge or 100 feet
at 14 gauge. Longer cords will overheat and damage the vacuum.
3. If the exhaust that comes out of the bottom of the vacuum is warmer than usual,
check and clean all four filters.
4. If the power switch fails, check the circuit breaker. If that is not the problem, call a
ProTeam Warranty Station.
CARING FOR YOUR VACUUM
1. To ensure a valid vacuum warranty, optimal performance and improved indoor air quality, be sure to use genuine ProTeam Intercept Micro Filters.
5. If loss of suction occurs, check the following:
a. Check that debris is not plugging the hose, wand, and/or floor tool.
b. Check and/or clean both Intercept Micro Filter and Cloth Filters.
c. Check that the hose cuffs are fitting tightly on the hose and are not cracked.
2. Check all filters before each use. Empty or replace the filters as necessary.
d. Check that the cap is properly attached to the vacuum body.
3. Rinse, air dry, and reinsert the foam/filter diffuser each week.
e. Check that the Dome filter hasn’t shifted and is securely in place.
4. Wipe the inside and outside of the vacuum with a household cleaning agent
after each use.

ProTeam, Inc. warranties all commercial backpack and canister vacuum cleaners to
be free from defects in materials and workmanship arising under normal usage
and care for the following terms:
The warranty period is for three (3) years or 1400 total hours of operation (whichever
comes first) on all parts, labor and motors and Lifetime on all molded body parts.
A Return Authorization Number (RAN) must be issued prior to receiving
returned equipment. Contact ProTeam’s customer service department at
866.888.2168 to request a RAN that is required for all warranty correspondence.
If a completed warranty card has not been returned to ProTeam, a dated, written proof-of-purchase must be enclosed with a statement advising the nature of the malfunction and a Return Authorization Number.
Any repair or replacement under this warranty shall not extend the warranty
period.
This warranty applies from the date of purchase only when the vacuum cleaner is
used in accordance with ProTeam’s operating instructions.
This warranty does not apply to:
Normal wear and tear including, but not limited to: hoses, filters, switches, carbon
motor brushes and attachments.
Ordinary wear and tear and blockages which occur during use.
Damage due to unauthorized or improper use, modification, alteration, service
or repair.
THE FOREGOING WRITTEN WARRANTY SHALL CONSTITUTE THE EXCLUSIVE LIABILITY OF PROTEAM.
1. Carbon brushes on the vacuum motor replaced after the first 800 hours of operation by a ProTeam authorized service or warranty center. The above warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other expressed warranties whether
oral or written. Under no circumstances, whether alleged as a result of breach
of contract or warranty, negligence or otherwise, shall ProTeam be liable to the
purchaser or gift recipient or any other person for special incidental or consequential damages or nature, including, without limitation, damages to
or loss of use of property. ProTeam’s liability under any circumstances will not
exceed the purchase price of the vacuum cleaner. No agent, employee, or
representative of ProTeam, nor any other person, is authorized to modify this
warranty in any respect.
2. Carbon brushes replaced again after the next 400 hours of operation by
a ProTeam authorized service or warranty center. ProTeam, Sierra are trademarks of ProTeam, Inc. in the USA. Velcro is a registered trademark of Velcro Company in the USA.
3. Carbon brushes replaced again after the next 200 hours of operation by
a ProTeam authorized service or warranty center. To ensure a valid vacuum warranty, optimal performance and improved indoor air
quality, be sure to use genuine ProTeam Intercept Micro Filters.
All vacuum motors are guaranteed for their respective time frames only if the following carbon brush maintenance schedule is completed and proof of maintenance provided:
If the above schedule is not followed, the vacuum motor armature will wear out prematurely and will void the warranty coverage.
This warranty is extended only to the original purchaser of the vacuum cleaner. If the
vacuum cleaner is found to be defective during the warranty period, it will be
ProTeam’s option to replace or repair it, without charge, if returned in accordance
with the following instructions:
The vacuum cleaner should be cleaned and packed carefully in a well padded
carton and returned, shipping charges prepaid, or taken to any authorized
ProTeam Warranty Station (Contact ProTeam’s customer service department at
866.888.2168 for authorized warranty locations). ProTeam will not be responsible
for repairs to products due to improper packing.

GETTING STARTED
1. Unscrew the cap on the top of the vacuum unit (ProVac and AviationVac: Figure A).
Unlatch the cap on the top of the vacuum unit (Sierra and Everest: Figure B).
2. Remove filters (Figure C).
3. Check to make sure the Dome Filter did not shift during shipping (Figure D).
4. Replace the Intercept Micro Filter and the Micro Cloth Filter into the vacuum (Figure C).
5. Replace the cap (Figure E). On the Sierra and Everest make sure the side latches are engaged.
6. Push the hose into the cap opening (Figure F).

WEARING THE BACKPACK VACUUM
7. Loosen the shoulder straps and the waist belt. Lift the vacuum and slide your arms through the straps (Figure G).
8. Connect the waist strap (Figure H).
9. Tighten the waist belt. It is very important that the weight of the unit be concentrated on your hips rather than your shoulders (Figure I).
10. Adjust the shoulder straps so that the unit fits comfortably, but the weight is still concentrated on your hips (Figure J).
11. Connect the sternum strap (Figure K).

BACKPACK ERGONOMICS
• The weight of the vacuum should be evenly distributed on your hips.

Adjust the padded waist belt and shoulder straps for a custom fit.
•
The backpacks have a ventilated backplate to keep the operator cool.
•
The on/off switch is conveniently located on the waist belt of the backpack vacuums.
•
Use the proper attachments for the job. ProTeam has attachments to perform most jobs without requiring you to bend over or get into difficult positions.

13. Thread the extension cord through the Cord-O-Holder on the waistbelt (Figure M).
14. Do not tie extension cord and power cord together. Doing so will result in damage to both cords and will not be covered under warranty (Figure N).
15. Fasten the ends of the wands together, snapping them into place (Figure O).
16. Attach the floor tool to end of wand. Align the brass ring with the indentation on the floor tool to ensure a secure fit (Figure P).
17. Twist the wand onto the end of the hose (Figure Q).

Filter Maintenance
1. Empty and inspect the filters every time you start and finish vacuuming (Figure U). Replace if
necessary. A clogged and dirty filter restricts airflow and results in reduced suction and overheating.
2. To replace the Intercept Micro Filter on the ProVac or AviationVac, slide filter into the Cloth Filter and
secure into vacuum (Figure V).
To replace the Intercept Micro Filter on the Sierra, or Everest, slide the gasket of the Intercept Micro
Filter over the inlet on the inside of the top cap, then replace the cap (Figure W) making sure that
the lip of the filter completely covers the rim of the vacuum (Figure X).
3. Once a month, or as necessary, hand or machine wash the Cloth Filter and let it line dry, do not put Figure U

it in the dryer.
4. Once a week, or as necessary, clean the Dome Filter. a. First, remove the Intercept Micro Filter and Cloth Filter. Reach into the vacuum body and twist
the Dome Filter from the motor (Figure Y).
b. Pull the top piece of the Dome Filter off and remove the foam media (Figure Z). Shake it out,
rinse it and let it air dry thoroughly
c. Firmly snap the top piece of the Dome Filter into place.
NOTE: If using a high filtration disc in place of the foam media, check it every two to three weeks. When the disc becomes discolored, replace it with a new disc. The life of the high filtration disc will
depend greatly on the use and care of the Intercept Micro Filter and Cloth Filter.
5. For ProVac and AviationVac models (with exposed exhaust filter), rinse, air dry, and return the foam
filter/diffuser at the bottom of the vacuum below the motor (Figure AA).
6. Following the above instructions is the best way to prolong the life of the vacuum.

Preparing the Sierra for use with the
Wessel Power Nozzle
1. Remove hose from cap (Figure BB). Set aside hose, wand and attachment.
2. Connect two button lock wands together. Attach base of wand to power nozzle neck. Button lock connection will snap into place (Figure CC).
3. Feed powercord up the wand and snap cord into wand guides (Figure DD).

4. Feed powercord plug through opening on plastic cord bracket at the top of the wand and snap cord
into place (Figure EE).
5. Push handle assembly into top of wand until button lock connection snaps into place. (Figure FF).
6. Push new electrified hose cuff into cap opening. Replace cap onto vacuum (Figure GG).
7. Plug powercord attached to hose into receptacle on vacuum. (Figure HH).

Preparing the Sierra for use as a canister
1. With a screwdriver, remove the two upper and lower mounting screws (Figure II).
2. Pull the backplate and spacers off and lay the vacuum down on the back swivel wheel (Figure JJ).
Store the spacers, screws and backplate together where they will not be lost.
3. To put in backpack mode again, reverse the steps.

Introducción
REVISIÓN
Cuidadosamente desempaque y revise su nueva aspiradora ProTeam para ver que
no haya daños por el transporte. Cada unidad se prueba y revisa completamente
antes de enviarse. Para recibir instrucciones respecto a cualquier daño por
transporte, contacte de inmediato a ProTeam al 1.800.541.1456. Todas las
devoluciones deben tener un Número de autorización de devolución (sigla en
inglés RAN). Los productos que incluyen este manual de instrucciones son para
uso comercial.
ESPAÑOL
ADVERTENCIAS
• USE ÚNICAMENTE filtros de repuesto originales ProTeam para asegurar un
óptimo desempeño, una mejor calidad de aire en interiores y para mantener
válida la garantía de la aspiradora.
• NO aspire con un cable desgastado, deteriorado o dañado.
• NO aspire líquidos ni exponga la aspiradora a la lluvia o al agua.
• NO aspire materiales tóxicos o peligrosos.
• NO use las aspiradoras para recoger materiales inflamables o combustibles y no
los guarde en el compartimiento de filtros.
MOTOR
Los motores eléctricos de las aspiradoras de flujo nunca se deben usar en
aplicaciones que incluyan condiciones de lluvia o humedad en las que estén
presentes materiales químicos secos u otros materiales volátiles, o en donde el
flujo de aire pueda ser restringido o bloqueado. Estos motores están diseñados
para permitir que el aire aspirado pase sobre el cableado eléctrico para enfriarlo.
Por lo tanto, cualquier líquido (incluyendo el agua), químicos secos u otra
sustancia extraña que pudiera entrar en contacto con conductores eléctricos
podría causar combustión (dependiendo de la volatilidad) o descarga eléctrica. El
no tener en cuenta estas precauciones podría resultar en daño a la propiedad y
lesiones personales severas, incluyendo la muerte en casos extremos.
ELÉCTRICO
Todos los modelos de espalda están disponibles en 120 volt/60Hz. Algunos
modelos ProTeam están disponibles en 220 volt/50Hz. Llame a ProTeam
para conocer la disponibilidad de aspiradoras de 220 volt/50Hz. Los cambios
bruscos en el voltaje, altos o bajos, pueden causar daños al motor y causar fallas
prematuras del motor. Los números y especificaciones del modelo se pueden
obtener al llamar a ProTeam.
Algunas las aspiradoras descritas en este manual están equipadas con protección
térmica. El interruptor térmico integrado disipará la energía del motor de la
aspiradora en caso de que se detecte una temperatura de funcionamiento
excesivamente alta. Esta condición es normalmente el resultado de que una parte
de la aspiradora esté bloqueada o atascada o que la bolsa del filtro está llena.
Si hubiera un disparo térmico, apague de inmediato la aspiradora, revise si hay un
bloqueo y verifique el estado de la bolsa del filtro. La aspiradora requerirá varios
minutos para enfriarse y llegar a una temperatura segura para funcionar. Cuando
se alcanza dicha temperatura, la aspiradora funcionará automáticamente de manera
adecuada.
INSTRUCCIONES DE CONEXIÓN A TIERRA
ESTAS ASPIRADORAS DEBEN SER CONECTADAS A TIERRA. Si la aspiradora no
funcionara bien o dejara de funcionar, la conexión a tierra le proporciona un camino
de menos resistencia para la corriente eléctrica, por lo tanto se reduce el riesgo de
descarga eléctrica. Esta unidad está equipada con un cable que tiene un conductor
con equipo a tierra y un enchufe a tierra. El enchufe se debe insertar en un toma
corriente adecuado que esté bien instalado y conectado a tierra de acuerdo con los
códigos y ordenanzas locales. Cortar el cable a tierra o usar un cable que no esté
equipado con un enchufe a tierra anulará la garantía de la unidad y ProTeam NO
aceptará ninguna responsabilidad asociada con la unidad.
ADVERTENCIA: La conexión inadecuada del conductor conector con equipo a
tierra puede resultar en un riesgo de descarga eléctrica. Consulte con un electricista
certificado o con una persona de mantenimiento si tiene dudas acerca de si el toma
corriente está conectado a tierra de manera adecuada. No modifique el enchufe que
viene con la aspiradora. Si no se ajusta al toma corriente, haga que un electricista
certificado le instale un toma corriente adecuado.
Esta aspiradora se debe usar en un circuito nominal de 120 voltios y tiene un
enchufe de conexión a tierra que se ve como el que aparece en la ilustración A
figura AA. Un adaptador temporal que se ve como el que aparece en las imágenes B
y C se puede usar para conectar el enchufe en un tomacorriente de 2 polos como se
muestra en la imagen B si no se tiene disponible un tomacorriente adecuadamente
instalado a tierra. El adaptador temporal se debe usar únicamente hasta que
un electricista certificado instale un tomacorriente instalado a tierra de manera
adecuada (imagen A). El reborde rígido de color verde, terminal o similar que sale
del adaptador se debe conectar a tierra como por ejemplo a una cubierta de toma
corriente conectada a tierra de manera adecuada. Cuando se use el adaptador, se
debe mantener en su lugar con un tornillo metálico.
Nota: en Canadá, el uso de un adaptador temporal no está permitido según el Código
Eléctrico Canadiense.
Para Canadá – Esta aspiradora se debe usar en un circuito nominal de 120 voltios
y tiene un enchufe a tierra que se ve como el que aparece en la ilustración A figura
AA. Asegúrese de conectar la aspiradora en un tomacorriente que tenga la misma
configuración del enchufe. No se debe usar ningún adaptador con la aspiradora.

Mantenimiento preventivo

daños en los dos cables y esto no lo cubrirá la garantía.
a.Revise que no haya basura taponando la manguera, tubo y/o accesorio
para pisos.
b.Revise y/o limpie los dos filtros: el de tela y el Intercept Micro Filtro.
c.Revise que los mangos de la manguera estén bien colocados en la manguera y
que no estén agrietados.
d.Revise que la tapa esté bien ajustada al cuerpo de la aspiradora.
e.Revise que el filtro domo no se haya movido y que esté en su lugar.
CUIDE SU ASPIRADORA
1. Para asegurar la validez en la garantía de su aspiradora, un óptimo desempeño
y una calidad de aire interior mejorada, asegúrese de usar Intercept Micro
Filtros ProTeam genuinos.
2. Revise todos los filtros antes de cada uso. Vacíe o reemplace los filtros según
sea necesario.
3. Lave, seque al aire y vuelva a colocar el filtro de espuma del difusor cada semana.
4. Limpie el interior y exterior de la aspiradora con un agente de limpieza
doméstico después de cada uso.
ALMACENAMIENTO ADECUADO
La aspiradora y el cable de extensión se deben guardar bajo techo y en un
lugar seco.
LOCALIZACIÓN DE PROBLEMAS
1. Si la aspiradora no funciona, revise lo siguiente:
a. El cable de energía en el toma corriente de la pared.

3. Si el exhosto que sale de la parte inferior de la aspiradora está más caliente de lo
normal, revise y limpie los cuatro filtros.
CUIDADO DEL CABLE ELÉCTRICO
NUNCA estire el cable demasiado entre la aspiradora y
el tomacorriente. Un cable que se estira o hala no
funcionará de manera adecuada y causa riesgos.
Después de aspirar, desconecte el cable de extensión
de los dos extremos y enróllelo sin apretar (Figura A).
NO enrolle el cable envolviéndolo en su mano y codo.
Sólo se debe usar un cable de extensión de repuesto
ProTeam, o uno con el largo adecuado para su
aplicación, consulte las instrucciones importantes de
seguridad, numeral 5. El tipo de cable de extensión
debe ser SJTW.

Garantía limitada
Se debe emitir un Número de autorización de devolución (RAN) antes de recibir
el equipo devuelto. Comuníquese con el Departamento de Servicio al Cliente
de ProTeam al 866.888.2168 para solicitar un RAN obligatorio para toda la
correspondencia de garantía.
Si no se ha devuelto la tarjeta de garantía llena a ProTeam, se debe adjuntar un
comprobante de compra con fecha y una declaración que indique la naturaleza
del desperfecto y un Número de autorización de devolución.
Toda reparación o cambio en virtud de esta garantía no prolongará el período de
garantía.
El período de garantía es de tres (3) años o 1400 horas de funcionamiento en total
(lo primero que ocurra) para todas las piezas, mano de obra y motores, y de por
vida para todas las piezas moldeadas del cuerpo.
Esta garantía se aplica desde la fecha de compra sólo si la aspiradora se usa en
conformidad con las instrucciones de operación de ProTeam.
Esta garantía no se aplica a:
Desgaste y roturas normales que incluyen, entre otros: mangueras, filtros,
interruptores, escobillas de carbón del motor y accesorios.
Desgaste y roturas comunes, y obstrucciones que se producen durante el uso.
Daños a causa del uso, modificaciones, alteraciones, mantenimiento o
reparaciones no autorizados o inadecuados.
Todos los motores de aspiradoras están garantizados por sus períodos respectivos
sólo si se realiza el programa de mantenimiento de las escobillas de carbón y se
proporciona una prueba de dicho mantenimiento.
1. Las escobillas de carbón en el motor de la aspiradora cambiadas después de las
primeras 800 horas de funcionamiento por personal de servicio autorizado o el
centro de garantía de ProTeam.
2. Las escobillas de carbón cambiadas nuevamente después de las siguientes 400
horas de funcionamiento por personal de servicio autorizado o el centro de
garantía de ProTeam.
3. Las escobillas de carbón cambiadas nuevamente después de las siguientes 200
horas de funcionamiento por personal de servicio autorizado o el centro de
garantía de ProTeam.
LA GARANTÍA ANTERIOR CONSTITUYE LA RESPONSABILIDAD EXCLUSIVA DE
PROTEAM.
La garantía anterior es exclusiva y en lugar de todas las otras garantías expresas,
tanto orales como escritas. Bajo ninguna circunstancia, ya sea afirmando que es
producto del incumplimiento de contrato o de la garantía, negligencia u otro
tipo, ProTeam será responsable ante el comprador, persona que recibe el producto
como regalo o cualquier otra persona, de ningún daño incidental o emergente o
de otra índole, incluido, entre otros, los daños a la propiedad o pérdida de su uso.
La responsabilidad de ProTeam bajo ninguna circunstancia excederá el precio de
compra de la aspiradora. Ningún agente, empleado o representante de ProTeam,
ni ninguna otra persona está autorizada a modificar esta garantía de ningún
modo.
ProTeam, Sierra son marcas comerciales de ProTeam, Inc. en los EE.UU. Velcro es una
marca comercial registrada de Velcro Company en los EE.UU.
Para garantizar que la garantía de su aspiradora permanezca vigente, que tenga un
desempeño óptimo y que la calidad de aire interior sea mejor, asegúrese de utilizar
los Micro Filtros Intercept ProTeam legítimos.
Si no se cumple el programa anterior, la armadura del motor de la aspiradora se
desgastará antes de tiempo y anulará la cobertura de la garantía.
Esta garantía se extiende sólo para el comprador original de la aspiradora. Si se
considera que la aspiradora está defectuosa durante el período de garantía,
será decisión de ProTeam cambiarla o repararla, sin cargo, si se devuelve en
conformidad con las siguientes instrucciones:
La aspiradora debe limpiarse y embalarse cuidadosamente en una caja acolchada
y devolverse, con los cargos de envío prepagados, o llevarse a cualquier estación

Introducción
1. Desatornille la tapa en la parte superior de la unidad (ProVac y AviationVac: Figura A).
Desasegure la tapa en la parte superior de la unidad de la aspiradora (Modelos Sierra y Everest: Figura B).
2. Retire los filtros (Figura C).
3. Revise para asegurarse de que el filtro de domo no se movió durante el envío (Figura D).
4. Cambie el filtro Intercept Micro Filter y el microfiltro de tela en la aspiradora (Figura C).
5. Cambie la tapa (Figura E). En la Sierra y Everest cerciórese que los seguros estén bien colocados.

7. Afloje las correas de los hombros y las correas de la cintura. Levante la aspiradora y meta los brazos entre
las correas (Figura G).
8. Conecte las correas de la cintura (Figura H).
9. Apriételas. Es muy importante que el peso de unidad se concentre en las caderas y no en los
hombros (Figura I).
10. Ajuste las correas de los hombros para que la unidad se acomode bien, pero con el peso siempre
concentrado en las caderas (Figura J).
11. Conecte las correas del esternón (Figura K).

ERGONOMÍA DE LA MOCHILA
• El peso de la aspiradora debe distribuirse uniformemente sobre las caderas.

Ajuste el cinturón acolchado y las correas de los hombros para un ajuste personalizado.
•
Las mochilas cuentan con una placa posterior ventilada para mantener fresco al operador.
•
El interruptor de encendido/apagado está ubicado convenientemente en la correa de la cintura de
las aspiradoras tipo mochila.
•
Use los accesorios adecuados para el trabajo. ProTeam tiene accesorios para realizar la mayoría de los
trabajos sin que deba doblarse o adoptar posiciones difíciles.

13. Sujete el portacable (que tiene el cable de extensión enrollado) al lazo triangular en la correa de la

14. No amarre el cable de extensión junto con el de alimentación. Esto puede dañar ambos cables y no
contará con la cobertura de la garantía (Figura N).
15. Apriete los extremos de los tubos, ajustándolos en su lugar (Figura O).
16. Gire el tubo en el extremo de la manguera (Figura P).
17. Conecte la herramienta de piso al extremo del tubo. Alinee el aro de bronce con la muesca en la
herramienta de piso para garantizar un ajuste seguro (Figura Q).

1. Comience con el tubo paralelo a su cuerpo.
2. Lleve la parte superior del tubo hacia su cintura y
gire la cintura mientras camina hacia atrás o hacia
delante, con un movimiento de lado a lado (Figura T).
El movimiento es similar a trapear y evita que la parte
superior del cuerpo y los brazos se cansen.

Mantenimiento del filtro
1. Vacíe e inspeccione los filtros cada vez que comience y termine de aspirar (Figura U). Cámbielos
si fuese necesario. Un filtro obstruido y sucio restringe el flujo de aire y provoca menor succión
y sobrecalentamiento.
2. Para cambiar el filtro Intercept Micro Filter en los modelos ProVac o AviationVac, colóquelo en el
filtro de tela y fíjelo a la aspiradora (Figura V).
Para cambiar el filtro Intercept Micro en los modelos Sierra o Everest, deslice el empaque del
filtro Intercept Micro sobre la entrada en el interior de la tapa superior, luego vuelva a colocar
la tapa (Figura W) asegurándose que el borde del filtro cubra completamente el borde de la

3. Una vez al mes o según sea necesario, lave a mano o a máquina el filtro de tela y déjelo secar al
aire; no lo coloque en la secadora.
4. Una vez a la semana, o según sea necesario, limpie el filtro de domo.
a. Primero, retire el filtro Intercept Micro Filter y el filtro de tela. Meta la mano en el cuerpo
de la aspiradora y gire el filtro de domo para sacarlo del motor (Figura Y).
b. Saque la pieza superior del filtro de domo y saque el medio de espuma (Figura Z).
Sacúdalo, enjuáguelo y déjelo secar al aire por completo.
c. Ajuste la pieza superior del filtro de domo en su lugar.
NOTA: Si usa un disco alto de filtración en lugar del medio de espuma, revíselo cada dos a
tres semanas. Cuando el disco se decolore, cámbielo por uno nuevo. La vida útil del disco alto
de filtración dependerá en gran medida del uso y cuidado del filtro Intercept Micro Filter y del
filtro de tela.
5. Para ProVac y AviationVac modelos tipo mochila (con un filtro de escape expuesto) enjuague,
deje secar al aire y vuelva a colocar el filtro de espuma/difusor en la parte inferior de la
aspiradora, debajo del motor (Figura AA).
6. Seguir las instrucciones anteriores es la mejor manera de prolongar la vida de la aspiradora.

1. Retire la tapa de la aspiradora (Figura BB). Separe la tapa de la manguera. Deje a un lado la
manguera, el tubo y el aditamento.
2. Una la base del tubo al cuello de la boquilla de succión (power nozzle). El botón de seguro de

conexión se asegurará. Suba el cable eléctrico por el tubo y asegure el cable en las guías del tubo
(Figura CC).
3. Pase el cable eléctrico por la abertura en el soporte plástico del cable en la parte superior del tubo
y asegure el cable en su lugar (Figura DD).
4. Empuje el ensamblaje del mango hacia la parte superior del tubo hasta que el botón de seguro
de conexión se asegure (Figura EE).
5. Empuje la pieza de unión nueva electrificada de la manguera hacia la apertura de la tapa
(Figura FF).
6. Vuelva a colocar la tapa en la aspiradora (figura GG).
7. Conecte el cable eléctrico unido a la manguera hacia el receptáculo en la aspiradora (Figura HH).

1. Retire, con un destornillador, los dos tornillos superiores e inferiores (Figura II).
2. Retire la placa base (backplate) y los separadores y acueste la aspiradora sobre la rueda giratoria
trasera (Figura JJ). Guarde los separadores, los tornillos y la placa base (backplate) juntos para
que no se pierdan.
3. Para colocar en modo de espalda de nuevo, invierta los pasos.
