IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING YOUR CANISTER VACUUM.
When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should be observed, including the following:

Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
» Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
» If the supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
» Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts of the appliance and its accessories.
» Use indoors only.
» For dry pick up only.
» Do not leave machine when it is plugged in.
» Do not service machine when it is plugged in.
» Do not use with damaged cable or plug.
» If appliance is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, have it repaired at an authorized service center.
» Do not handle unit with wet hands.
» Do not pull or carry by cable, use cable as a handle, close door on cable, pull cable around sharp corners or edges, run appliance over cable, or expose cable to heated surfaces.
» Do not unplug by pulling on cable.
Unplug by grasping plug.
» Do not run appliance over cable.
» Do not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.
» Do not expose hair, loose clothing, fingers or body parts to openings or moving parts.
» Do not pick up hot or burning objects such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
» Do not pick up flammable or combustible materials (lighter fluid, petrol, kerosene, etc.) or use in the presence of explosive liquids or vapours.
» Do not use appliance in an enclosed space filled with vapours given off by oil base paint, paint thinner, some moth proofing substances, flammable dust, or other explosive or toxic vapours.
» Remove plug from electrical socket before cleaning or maintaining the appliance.
» Do not pick up toxic material
(chlorine bleach, ammonia, drain cleaner, petrol, etc.).
» Do not use for any purpose other than described in this User’s
Guide.
» Use only manufacturer’s recommended attachments.
» Keep appliance on a level surface
» Turn off all controls before unplugging.
» Be extra careful when cleaning stairs.
» This appliance is provided with double insulation. Use only identical replacement parts.
» Pay close attention when working around children.

Assembly
WARNING
Do not plug in your vacuum until you are familiar with all instructions and operating procedures.
You will need the following to assemble:

1 - Connect one extension wand to the handle.

2 - Connect both extension wands together.

3 - Connect the bottom extension wand to floor tool.

4 - To use 2-in-1 tool, attach to end of wand when needed.
Twist right until you hear a click to secure.

Attach floor tool to hose and slide in holder on back of unit to store.

Maintenance: Empty the Dirt Container
WARNING
To reduce the risk of electrical shock, turn power switch off and disconnect polarized plug from electrical outlet before performing maintenance or troubleshooting checks.

Maintenance: Cleaning Filters

Pull handle to lift Dirt Container away from vacuum.

Pre-motor filter can be accessed through the bottom of the dirt container.
Twist left to separate and pull out.

Both filter & filter screen can be cleaned with mild detergent, rinse, and squeeze all excess water.
Allow filters to dry for 24 hrs before reassembling.
Filter screen simply lifts away from filter.

Turn unit to find the back.

Locate post-motor filter cover on back of unit by cord rewind.

Remove post-motor filter cover from back of unit.

Remove post-motor filter from back cover.
Clean all filters with mild detergent, rinse and squeeze out all excess water.
Allow all filters to dry for 24 hrs before reassembling.

Troubleshooting
WARNING
To reduce the risk of electric shock, turn power switch off and disconnect plug from electrical outlet before performing maintenance or troubleshooting checks.

Filters are dirty
Vacuum won’t pick up dirt
Dirt is escaping from the vacuum
The Main Hose is not connected
There is a crack or hole in the

There is a clog in the vacuum
The Dirt Container is not seated correctly
The Dirt Container is full
Filters are missing
The Dirt Container is not seated properly
Remove and rinse pre-motor and post-motor filters. Allow enough time for them to dry properly before reinserting
Locate the Main Hose and reconnect by pushing the hose connection to secure the latch
If there is a crack or hole, order a new
Main Hose from the BISSELL website
Remove debris and any other entanglements that may be restricting its suction
Press the Empty Button to release the
Dirt Container and reseat properly
Empty the Dirt Container
Check to see if all of the Pre-Motor and Post-Motor filters are in place
Press the Empty Button and remove the
Dirt Container. Insert the bottom first and pivot the Dirt Container towards the vacuum. Listen for a “click” sound, indicating that it snapped into place
Please do not return this product to the store.
Other maintenance or service not included in the manual should be performed by an authorized service representative.
