Disabling the non-genuine ink warning message - Ink
Disabling the non-genuine ink warning message when using
Internet-ink.co.uk own brand cartridges.
There are two ways to prevent the warning message from appearing.
To disable the non-genuine ink warning message you will need to disable Status Monitor. To do this in Windows
click on ‘Start’ usually located at the bottom left of your screen, then:
Windows 98/Me users: select ‘Settings’ and then ‘Printers’. Next place the mouse pointer over your Epson product
and right-click, a list will appear on screen. Select ‘Properties’.
Windows NT/2000 users: select ‘Settings’ and then ‘Printers’. Next place the mouse pointer over your Epson
product, right-click and a list will appear on screen. Select ‘Print Preferences’.
Windows XP users: select ‘Printers and Faxes’. Next place the mouse pointer over your Epson product and rightclick, a list will appear on screen. Select ‘Print Preferences’.
A window similar to the one shown will be displayed on your screen.
Left-click on the ‘Maintenance’ tab.
Now click on the 'Speed & Progress' button, to see the Speed and Progress window.
To disable the Status Monitor, place a tick in the ‘Disable EPSON Status Monitor 3’ box.
To enable the Status Monitor, remove the tick from the ‘Disable EPSON Status Monitor 3’ box.
Click ‘OK’ to save your setting.
Not only will this remove the alert every time you print, you will also get the full use of the ink cartridge.
The status monitor on average informs you to change the cartridge with up to 25% of the ink remaining.
Just replace the your ink cartridges when the printing starts to fade.
