I CONSTRUCTION AND EXTERIOR

FINISH

1) GENERAL: Hull to be fiberglass mat and roving with

Airex PVC core. Hull to include an outer layer of fiberglass laminated with an anti-blister type resin. Engine stringers and hull stiffeners to be laid up with fiberglass and foam type construction. House structure to be fiberglass and foam construction. Interior deck and bulkheads to be fiberglass sandwich type construction (core material will vary, determined by engineering).

2) RUBRAIL: Molded-in fiberglass and high-density foam lower and middle guards with stainless half-oval rub strip. Solid PVC sheer (upper) guard with stainless halfoval rub strip.

3) HATCHES:

a) 24” round Freeman for forward guest stateroom. b) One stainless sliding hatch to flybridge. c) One Freeman cast aluminum round bow deck hatch to chain locker. d) One hatch from aft deck to flybridge. e) One hatch from crew quarters companionway to lazarette.

4) HULL (BOTTOM): 2 layers of anti-blister epoxy and two coats of Micron 66 black bottom paint.

5) VESSEL NAME: Nameboards with halogen projectors installed on house sides. Vinyl lettering includes vessel name and hailing port on transom.

6) PAINT: Awlgrip high gloss polyurethane. Hull, house, and weather deck color to be Westport White.

7) WINDOWS: Frameless, bonded with Ultra Glaze, ¼”

Solar Gray tempered glass. Forward pilothouse windows will be

8) STAINLESS RAILS: Transom stairs port and starboard, stern, flybridge, bow, and boat deck sides, boat deck aft. Railings to be 1 ½” mirror polished stainless steel.

9) MAIN DECK (EXTERIOR): Aft deck, steps to aft deck from swimstep, and swimstep are teak over composite, all other exterior decks are non-skid over composite.

10) EXTERIOR DECK SETTEES: To be molded fiberglass with cushions and covers. a) Flybridge horseshoe seat b) Boat deck “L” seat c) Aft deck lounge d) Fore deck keyhole seat e) Fore deck bow locker/lounge

11) THRU-HULLS: All thru-hull fittings below waterline to be bronze with bronze valves and bonding.

14) INSULATION: The hull is cored with PVC foam which serves as insulation. The house is also cored with various materials which provide insulation. Overhead surfaces will have 3M thinsulate insulation for both thermal and acoustic properties. The engine room shall include a combination of fiberglass and barrier materials with perforated, white powder-coated aluminum liner on ceiling, forward, and aft bulkhead.

15) PORTLIGHTS: Freeman oval, opening with screens and privacy covers.

III MECHANICAL

1) MAIN ENGINES: Two MTU/DDC 16V2000 engines, rated at 2000 hp, four-station DDEC controls, integrated station selection and shifter control, DDEC synchronizer and underwater exhaust.

2) GENERATORS: One 50 KW 1200 rpm and one

65KW 1800 rpm Northern Lights with hydro-elastic double mounts, sound shields, water lift mufflers, exhaust/water separator cyclones, and water temperature, oil pressure and hour meters installed on main distribution panel in crew quarters. Both generators to have remote start/stop in pilothouse.

3) AIR COMPRESSOR: 220V 2 hp compressor, to operate air horn with in-line water separator and regulator.

4) BOWTHRUSTER: 16” Wesmar, 40 hp hydraulic with four-station controls.

5) FUEL AND WATER FILL PIPES: Fuel fills with dual fill/vent pipes vented overboard for fast filling. A second, smaller vent, vented overboard is provided for normal operation. Three fills for water tanks.

6) FUEL TANK: ¼” 5086 alloy aluminum with dual fills and standard vents. V.I.C. monitoring system and sight tube level indicators. Approximate capacity: 5500 gallons.

7) GAS TANK: 100-gallon gas tank under hatch on swimstep. Includes air dispensing pump and hose.

8) FUEL FILTERS: One Sea Pro 300 for each main engine and one Separ 2005MK for each generator.

9) FUEL GAUGES: Sight tubes located in engine room, and V.I.C. monitoring system.

10) FUEL TRANSFER SYSTEM: Fuel transfer pump with a flow meter and timer.

11) FIRE SUPPRESSION: Halon engine room fire suppression system with manual/automatic controls. Small

Halon on electrical distribution panel.

12) LUBE OIL CHANGE SYSTEM: 60-gallon lube oil tank with deck fill, fill spigot, 50-gallon lube oil waste tank with drain spigot and portable extraction pump with quick disconnects on pump and all engines.

13) RUDDERS: Cast urethane foil-shape rudders with stainless stocks; 7.6 square feet.

14) RUDDER BEARINGS/SEALS: Fiberglass sleeves with Tides bearings, dripless seals, and spare seals in carrier.

15) PROPELLERS: 48” Michigan Nibral 5-blade custom wheels.

16) SHAFTS: Four-inch Aquamet 22-H.S.

17) SHAFT LOG AND PACKING GLANDS: Shaft logs to be one-piece fiberglass construction with Tides dripless packing gland with water crossover cooled from engines.

Shaft log to be bonded into hull.

18) STRUTS: Cast bronze of Vee design.

19) STABILIZER SYSTEM: Naiad model #353 with 9 sq. ft. fins, single-station control, with oil level warning, unloading valve kits and dual pumps with gauge kits.

20) WINDSHIELD WIPERS/WASHERS: Exalto windshield wipers with electronic control panel with synchronization and washers for three wipers.

21) STEERING: Jastram power steering with dual enginedriven pumps. Four stations – pilothouse, flybridge, and port and starboard wing stations on flybridge. Stations include indicator, start/stop buttons, and covers.

22) VIBRATION DAMPERS: Engines are mounted on

Detroit Diesel vibration mounts. All motors and pumps are to be mounted with shock/isolation mountings.

23) BONDING: All thru-hulls to be bonded with #8 or heavier wire and connected to transom zincs and shaft wipers.

24) ZINC ANODES: Will be installed on hull at transom and secured on stainless steel studs and tied to the bonding system. Included are shaft zincs.

25) AIR CONDITIONING: 15-ton chilled water system with air handlers in salon, pilothouse, galley and all staterooms.

26) BILGE PUMPS: Eight remote mounted, 24V electric bilge pumps with manual/automatic switches and alarms on all pumps except the lower engine room pump and the graywater boxes.

27) EMERGENCY BILGE PUMP: Emergency fixed bilge pump system includes two electric 120V AC pumps with 1 ¼” PVC lines to each major compartment with check valves and strainers.

IV PLUMBING

1) WATER TANKS: Aluminum with interior epoxy coating. Approximate capacity of 1,025 gallons. V.I.C. monitoring system and sight tube level indicators.

2) WATERMAKER: Two Sea Recovery SRC 1200

(1,200 gallons per day).

3) WATER FILTERS: Two Aqua-Pure.

4) FRESHWATER SYSTEM: Two 220V AC pumps and one 24V DC backup pressure pump with tank.

5) HOT WATER HEATER: One 120-gallon.

6) HOT AND COLD WATER SHOWER: In port locker on the swimstep.

7) FRESHWATER WASH-DOWN: With quick disconnects on fore deck, boat deck and aft deck.

8) BELOW DECKS GRAYWATER SYSTEMS: Two graywater boxes fitted with screen and supply and discharge lines for all showers. Forward sump tank to have a sump pump and a 24V DC backup pump. Aft tank to only have

24V DC backup pump.

9) HOLDING TANK: Composite construction with inspection hatch. 240V AC diaphragm type pump with 24V

DC backup pump for pump-out. Tank capacity of 600 gallons.

V ELECTRICAL

1) VESSEL INFORMATION CONTROL SYSTEM:

Westport proprietary Vessel Information and Control (VIC) system displayed on 15” LCD Monitor in Pilothouse and 3”

LCD Panelview touch pad at Stb. entry and Crew galley/lounge. Items on safety control panel as follows: a) All eight automatic bilge pumps monitored for operation. 2 gray water pumps monitored for operation.

Black water tank alarmed at 75% and 98% full levels.

2) BATTERIES: All gel cell type batteries. Two banks of two 8-D, 225-amp batteries, wired in series for starting main engines (total of four) and two 8-D, 225-amp batteries, one for each generator starting. One 24V battery bank for ship’s service and one 12V DC 2 8-D 225-amp battery bank for electronics.

3) BATTERY CHARGERS: Two McCarron chargers.

One 75-amp 12V DC for electronics, one 75-amp 24V DC for ship’s service bank. One McCarron 10-amp 24V DC charger for main engine bank and one McCarron 12V 20amp charger for generator bank.

4) DEFROSTERS: Three (3) King heater/defrosters on pilothouse console.

5) PILOTHOUSE CHART LIGHTS: Two 24V DC chart lights, at navigator’s area and captain’s desk.
