KDL-52V4100 52 BRAVIA® V Series LCD TV
52" BRAVIA® V Series LCD TV
Key Features
16:9 Full HD 1080p resolution panel (1920 x 1080) accepts all resolutions of HDTV content and renders them
with optimum resolution, so you can take full advantage of Blu-ray Disc™ players and PlayStation®3 systems
that can deliver 1080p content.
Motionflow 60Hz technology allows you to enjoy movies and prime-time TV (film-based content) with a clarity
and resolution in motion that will spoil you. Sony’s Motionflow motion-compensation removes “judder”. That
means you'll get a clearer picture during sweeping pans with reduced visible jerking or stuttering.
DMeX™ ² functionality expands your HDTV’s capabilities by connecting optional BRAVIA® Link modules, such
as the BRAVIA® Internet Video Link (sold separately).
Xross Media Bar™ (XMB™ ) user interface makes it simple and intuitive to navigate the television's menus,
controls, and user settings.
TV Guide Interactive Program Guide is integrated into Sony’s exclusive Xross Media Bar™ user interface to
deliver continually updated program listings -- with no subscription fees or phone connection required.
BRAVIA® Sync™ capability combines the one-touch access and control functionality of BRAVIA® Theatre
Sync™ with the ability to control CEC-enabled Sony® Handycam® camcorders using the TV’s remote and an
on-screen display
HDMI™ and PC connectivity transmit both uncompressed digital video and multi-channel digital audio on the
same cable for maximum versatility. (4) HDMI™ inputs deliver up to 1080/60p input capable video content.
Additionally, a PC input1(HD-15 pin) offers up to a 1920 x 1080p connection to your PC so you can use your
HDTV as a computer monitor.
BRAVIA Engine™ fully digital video processor uses a collection of unique Sony® algorithms to significantly
reduce noise, enhance overall image detail, and optimize contrast so every scene produces sharp, vibrant,
life-like images.
Advanced Contrast Enhancer circuit (ACE) uses real-time image processing to dynamically control the
backlight improving contrast and resulting in deep blacks in darker scenes, as well as fine details in shadows
and other dark areas of the picture for a difference you can truly see.
24p True Cinema mode provides a direct connection to 24p video sources, avoiding conversions and allowing
you to enjoy films at their intended 24 fps (frames per second) cinematic picture quality when using a 24p
capable output device, such as a Blu-ray Disc™ player.
DIGITAL MEDIA PORT connection allows the use of an optional DIGITAL MEDIA PORT adapter (sold separately)
to connect digital devices directly to your BRAVIA HDTV so you can enjoy photos, videos, or music stored on
your Sony® Walkman™ player, iPod®, PC, mobile phone, or other compatible digital devices.
S-Force® Front Surround enhancement function generates virtual three-dimensional “surround sound” from
the two speakers in the TV, no matter what the size or shape of the room.
Favorites function features rich graphics capability that makes it easy and fun to quickly access video content
-- just use the colorful thumbnail images to choose what you want to see.
Voice Zoom surpasses conventional methods of voice level control by analyzing the direction in which sound
moves to extract the "center" sound (where the human voice is positioned), giving you the freedom to control
the volume of commentators in sports events, documentaries, and other programming.
VESA® compatible hole spacing uses an industry-standard mounting hole pattern that can be used with VESAcompliant mounting brackets, taking the guesswork out of selecting the proper hardware for hanging your TV
on the wall.
Key Technologies
Full HD 1080p It’s a high definition world and the best high definition resolution this brave new world offers is 1080p; that’s why Sony
has more Full HD 1080p HDTVs than ever before. Full HD 1080p means our connections accept 1080p signals and the display will render
that signal in Full HD 1080p. The flexibility of native 1920 x 1080 displays allows any high definition content to be viewed without the
need to downconvert images to the native resolution of the display. Take full advantage of Blu-ray Disc™ players and PlayStation®3
systems that can deliver 1080p content.
Sony’s Digital Media Extender (DMe ) offers a digital connection path for optional modules like the BRAVIA Internet Video
Link, as well as other modules you can add in the future. Innovative DMex expansion capabilities integrate into the award-winning
XMB™ user interface making HDTVs a powerful entertainment platform that not only meets current needs, but expands to meet
tomorrow’s needs as well.
Advanced Contrast Enhancer (ACE) Part of the cinematic drama in film-making comes from details found in shadows and
dark areas of the picture. Sony’s Advanced Contrast Enhancer (ACE) uses real-time image processing to dynamically adjust backlight
levels for improved contrast without masking details the filmmaker intended you to see. ACE delivers deep blacks in darker scenes, as
well as fine details in shadows and other dark areas of the picture for a difference you can truly see.
