S A F E T Y I N S T R U C T I O N S
Please read your Operating and Installation Instructions carefully and follow the directions.
Please keep your manual in a safe place. You may need it in the future for other useful
information and tips.
The central vacuum cleaner is intended solely for private and not for industrial use.
The central vacuum system may be installed in the garage, basement, or some sort of indoor
storage room. The room must be dry, heated and well ventilated.
The central vacuum cleaner is designed for a voltage of 230 Volt / 50 Hz. The electric power circuit has a 16 amp time-lag fuse. Please make sure that the central vacuum cleaner is only powered by the indicated voltage.
Always disconnect the unit before you perform any sort of maintenance or unit care. Never work on electrical appliances with wet hands. Make sure that the floor is dry.
The electric motors we use are air-cooled. The cold air is sucked in under the lid and therefore the lid must always be kept clear. During the operations the motors heat up. Please do not
vacuum up any flammable or combustible materials. These materials may cause an explosion.
Do not vacuum any burning or hot objects for they will damage the filter. Also, do not vacuum any cement dust, since the dust hardens with moisture and will clog the filter. The central vacuum cleaner is not designed to suck in fluids of any sort.
Always use the central vacuum cleaner with a filter. Otherwise the motors may be damaged.
The dirt container must be emptied regularly. Dust bags are enclosed to prevent dust from
leaking out when emptying the dust container. Dust bags must be kept away from children to prevent suffocation.
Check filter on a regular basis to see if it is necessary to be exchanged. The filter may also be rinsed and cleaned with cold water.
Upon use, keep away the nozzles from your face, eyes, ears or unprotected parts of your body.
If the electric power circuit of the system is damaged, it has to be replaced by customer service, the manufacturer or a similarly qualified and authorized person in order to prevent hazardous situations.
This central vacuum cleaner is not apt to be used by persons (including children) with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities or in the absence of experience and/or lacking
adequate knowledge, unless such persons are being supervised by authorized personnel or have received relevant instructions as to how to use the central vacuum system.
Children should be supervised in order to ensure that they are not playing with the central
vacuum system.

The central vacuum cleaner must be installed in a dry and well-ventilated room.
You need a power outlet within range (max. 1 m) of the unit.
For the
suction side of the pipe installation please use pipes of 2 inch diameter. We
recommend that you glue the pipe system. We do not recommend the use of 50 mm HT pipe because it is not possible to properly seal the pipe system. It is also not recommended to install pipe with a smaller diameter (e. g. 40 mm HT pipe) or a larger diameter (> 50.8 mm). Such cases will void the guarantee in case of damage.
For the
extracted air side of the pipe installation please use the following dimensions:
Exhaust pipe: length up to 3 m use 2 inch adhesive pipe (Ø 50 mm)
Exhaust pipe: length 3 m up to 8 m use pipe Ø 70 mm
Exhaust pipe: length longer than 8 m use pipe Ø 100 mm
Generally avoid using an exhaust pipe longer than 3 m. If the exhaust pipe needs to be any
longer, please consider an alternative location for your central vacuum cleaner.
All parts and accessories for the installation are located inside the dirt container.
Open the fastenings and remove all needed parts.

Please examine the central vacuum cleaner after it is unpacked for any external damage that may have occurred during transport. If you notice any damage please contact us on our service number located on your central vacuum cleaner. Let us know the extent of damage, date of
purchase, and serial number. You will find the serial number on the model plate on the side of the central vacuum cleaner or on the test certificate on page 19 under “Technical Data”.
For the wall mount please use the enclosed drilling template. The wall mount should be at least
1 m up to 1.4 mm above the ground.
INSTALLATION
1 2
1. Place template at desired height on the wall and mark drill holes onto the wall.
2. Drill all four holes with a 6 mm drill bit.
Drill holes deep enough so that the anchors
(when inserted) are flush with the wall.
3 4
3. In the material bag you will find a seal for the wall mount, screws, and washers you need for installing the wall mount. The seal must be placed between the mount and the wall. Make sure when fastening the wall mount that the writing “TOP” is at the top.
4. Hang the brackets on the back of the
central vacuum cleaner over the wall mount to hang up the unit.

5. The air extractor pipe is in the upper right hand corner. Secure it with a hose clamp contained in the delivery.
You can choose to connect the high
performance sound muffler to your exhaust air outlet pipe and also fasten it with an
additional clamp.
6. The suction pipe is located at the bottom left hand corner of the central vacuum cleaner.
Place rubber sleeve and the remaining two hose clamps over the suction pipe and
secure the rubber sleeve for one via the stub and for another via the suction pipe.
The pipe section should have a length of at least 6 cm before installing an elbow or tee.
This enables a future withdrawal of the unit.
7
7. Connect the 12/24 V control line from the vacuum line to the 24 V control line of the central vacuum cleaner. Plug in the 230 V cable into the insulated ground receptacle.
Now the central vacuum cleaner can be
operated properly.

For Care and Maintenance always disconnect the appliance!
Only use a damp towel when cleaning the central vacuum cleaner.
The central vacuum cleaner is equipped with long life electric motors. All bearings have
permanent lubrication. The carbon brushes have a service life of approximately 750 operating hours. According to our experience, your central vacuum cleaner will operate up to
6–10 years. The motors then automatically turn off. After the brushes have been exchanged by authorized personnel, the vacuum cleaner can be put back into use.
The dirt container of your central vacuum cleaner is equipped with a dust bag. The dust and dirt is collected in this bag and must be emptied on a regular basis. Your central vacuum cleaner comes with two spare dust bags.

Cleaning the filter
Your central vacuum cleaner is equipped with a highly effective membrane filter, with 1.37 m
2
filter surface which ensures that the exhaust air is absolutely clean. Through time it may occur that a layer of dust will form on the filter’s surface. You will then notice a decrease in suction power. If this occurs, the filter has to be cleaned.
The membrane filter can be hand-washed with cold water. Only when the filter is completely dry, it can be put back into the central vacuum cleaner. Damp filters become blocked quickly.
Please disconnect the power!
1 2
1. Remove dirt container as described on page 13.
3
2. Pull an empty dust bag over the edge of the housing. Carefully draw the ties together to seal the dust bag tight against the housing to prevent dust or dirt escaping.
4
3. Loosen the wing and nut and pull the filter out the filter holder. Then seal the dust bag.
4. Open the dust bag again and, with the filter, pull it over a bucket of cold water. Protected from dust, place the filter into the water and rinse off the dust from the filter.
15

5. Set the filter to dry in a well-aired place and remove the dust bag.
6. After the filter has been dried completely, re-install it. Push the filter onto the filter holder and tighten the wing nut hand tight.
7
7. Re-attach the dirt container and make sure that the container is pulled tight under the housing (see page 13). The central vacuum cleaner is closed and can now be turned back on.
8. Plug the appliance back in.
If you have the VIP model, you’ll have to re-plug in the appliance. Then press down the reset button for 2 seconds.
