Supply Cord and Plug
Always unplug from mains supply when not in use. Do not abuse or damage the power cord. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard. Do not let the supply cord touch hot surfaces.
When cleaning or putting the appliance away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull on the plug, not the cable)

Use and Environment
Do not leave vacuum cleaner when plugged in. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces.
If the vacuum cleaner is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, take it to a service centre.
Do not carry by the cord, use cord as a handle, close door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not run vacuum cleaner over cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
Do not handle plug or vacuum cleaner with wet hands.
Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any opening or outlet blocked. Keep free of dust, lint, hair and anything that may reduce airflow.
Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers and all parts of the body away from openings and moving parts.
Turn all controls off before unplugging.
Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline, or use in areas where they may be present. Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
Hold plug when rewinding onto cord reel. Do not allow plug to whip when rewinding.
Unplug before connecting the hose.
Do not use the Vacuum without filters in place.
Do not use this appliance for any purpose other than those stated in this manual.
CAUTION: This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
Supervision
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Damaged or Dropped
Always inspect your appliance before use. Check parts are correctly attached. Do not use this appliance if it has been damaged, dropped, left outdoors or dropped in water.
Return it to an authorised service dealer for examination and repair.

ASSEMBLING THE VACUUM CLEANER
+Always remove the plug from the power socket before fitting or removing accessories!
1. Fitting the flexible hose
Insert the flexible hose into the suction inlet at the front of the appliance.
Press until it clicks into position.
2. Removing the flexible hose
To release the flexible hose, firmly squeeze the release buttons on both sides and pull out from the suction inlet.
3. Fitting the telescopic tube and floor brush
Simply insert the tube into the available end of the flexible hose handle and insert the floor brush to the other end of the tube.
Adjust the telescopic tube to the desired length by sliding the telescopic tube adjustment button in the direction of arrow and extend or retract the adjustable tube.

ACCESSORIES
Floor brush
Adjust the floor brush based on the type of floor. Use the brush position switch to switch to position;
(A) Extracted brushes: for hard floors or position
(B) Retracted brushes: for rugs and carpets.
Crevice tool
Use to get into corners and tight areas, such as next to and under the refrigerator and other large appliances and along skirting and architrave. Good for vacuuming car interiors.
NOTE:
The crevice tool can be connected to the telescopic tube or directly to the hose handle.

INSTRUCTIONS
Using Your Sheffield Vacuum Cleaner
Before using the appliance, unwind a sufficient length of cable and insert the plug into a suitable 220-240V ~ 50Hz power socket. A yellow mark on the power cable shows the ideal cable length.
Do not extend the cable beyond the red mark!
NEVER PULL OUT OR RETRACT THE CORD WHILE THE MACHINE IS RUNNING.
1. Press the ON/OFF button to switch the appliance on and off.
2. The suction can be modified by using the manual air flow adjustment valve located on the hose handle. Open it to reduce suction at the nozzle and close to restore suction.
3. After use turn it off the vacuum cleaner using the ON/OFF switch and disconnect the plug from the electrical socket.
4. To rewind the power cord, press down on the cord rewind button with one hand and guide the power cord with the other hand to ensure that it does not whip causing damage or injury.
5. Disconnect the flexible suction hose by pressing the flexible hose release buttons and remove the flexible hose.
Motor Thermostat
Important:
This motor is equipped with a motor protective thermostat. If for some reason the vacuum cleaner should overheat, the thermostat will automatically turn the unit off.
Should this occur unplug the vacuum cleaner from the wall outlet and turn off the switch. Remover the dust cup and empty, clean the dust cup filter. Allow the unit to cool for approximately 1 hour. To restart, re-plug into wall outlet and turn switch back on.

CLEANING and MAINTENANCE
This appliance requires little maintenance. It contains no user-serviceable parts. Any servicing requiring disassembly other than cleaning must be performed by a qualified appliance repair technician.
Before Cleaning
WARNING: The plug must be removed from the power socket before any maintenance or replacement.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The filters must be cleaned regularly for best suction performance and to prevent overheating leading to damage to your vacuum cleaner. Cleaning is best done at the same time as emptying the dust canister after you have finished vacuuming for the day.
NOTE: Never use the vacuum cleaner with wet or damp filters or without all filters fitted. Using wet or damaged filters will cause damage to your vacuum cleaner and may void your warranty.
CARE AND CLEANING
CAUTION: Never immerse the Appliance/plug/cord in water or any other fluid; Do not rinse it under the tap. Use only a damp cloth to clean the toaster.
Do not use abrasive cleansers. Simply wipe the exterior with a clean damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Apply any cleaning agent to cloth, not directly onto the toaster.
Emptying the Vacuum Cleaner
3The dust container should be emptied after each use or when there is a noticeable loss of suction
Always unplug the unit from electrical outlet before removing the dust collection system.
1. Disconnect the flexible suction hose.
2. Press the dust container release button and lift out the dust container from the
Vacuum Cleaner.
3. Hold the dust container over a rubbish bin or other suitable area for collecting the contents of the barrel. Press the dust container door latch to open the dust container door. The contents are emptied from the bottom of the dust container.

Removing and Cleaning the Cyclone Filter
1. Press the dust container release button and lift out the dust container from the
Vacuum.
2. Remove the lid and internal components by holding the dust canister body firmly and rotating the lid in the direction of the arrows marked on the lid. (see below)
3. Remove the lower plastic component by holding it firmly and rotating the lid in the direction of the arrows marked on the lid. (see below)
4. Remove the Upper plastic component by holding it firmly and rotating the lid in the direction of the arrows marked on the lid and expose the filters. (see below)
5. Remove the white filter by grasping the raised handle and pulling up and out. (see below)
6. Remover the black sponge by grasping with your fingers and pulling up and out.
(see below)
7. Wash the foam filter in warm mild soapy water, rinse in clean fresh cold water and allow to dry. Dry the filter for at least 24 hours after washing it. Do not use the filter if it is wet or damp.
8. To re-assemble the filter and dust container repeat the above steps in reverse order, ensuring that the pieces fit together correctly before locking into place.
NOTE: The lower plastic component must be in the correct position (see below) before locking into place or suction may be diminished.
9. Re-install the dust collection system on the appliance, making sure that that the latch of the dust collection compartment clicks.

Cleaning and Replacement of the Motor Protection Filter
1. Remove the dust collection system from the appliance.
2. Remove the motor protection filter. Wash it under running water and allow it to dry completely before refitting to the appliance. Alternatively replace it with a new filter. Reassemble the appliance before starting it.

Cleaning and Replacement of the Air-Outlet HEPA Filter
The air outlet HEPA filter in the cleaner will became dusty over time. If the filter is so dusty that suction does not return to 100%, the filter can be removed and cleaned.
1. Press the air outlet grille knob and remove the grille.
2. Remove the air outlet filter for cleaning or changing.

Precautionary Measures
All filters should be checked regularly for signs of damage, preferably after each use.
The filters must be replaced immediately if they become damaged. Always disconnect the vacuum from the electrical outlet when checking the filters.
This vacuum cleaner is equipped with a plug and a cord, which rolls up automatically.
If any of these parts get damaged, it must be repaired by a qualified repairman or electrician.
To Prevent Damage to Your Vacuum Cleaner
1. Never unwind or rewind the cord while the vacuum cleaner is turned on or plugged in, this may produce arcing of the terminals in the cord rewind mechanism and cause an open circuit.
2. Do not extend the cable beyond the red mark.
3. Be sure to check that all filters are correctly in place before use.
4. If the hose inlet, the hose, tube or nozzle attachments are blocked, switch off the vacuum cleaner. Clear the blockage before you attempt to start the vacuum cleaner again.
5. Do not obstruct the air outlet. Do not operate this vacuum cleaner with it standing on its back side i.e. air outlet sitting on the ground. Only operate this unit when all
3 wheels are on the ground.
6. Do not operate the vacuum cleaner too close to heat sources such as heaters, open fires etc.
7. Before you start using the vacuum cleaner, remove any large or sharp objects from the floor in order to prevent damage to the floor brush, tube, hose, and filters.
Failure to observe the above precautions may void any warranty
Store in a Safe Place
When not in use store your appliance and all its accessories and instruction manual in a safe and dry place
