UNPACKING INSTRUCTIONS
KEYS.
Remove staples from box top. Remove box top from carton and set aside. Next remove the staples from box bottom and lay the sides down flat on the floor. From rear of unit carefully lift treadmill deck until the safety latch is engaged.
With the aid of a second person raise the treadmill (with safety latch engaged) into the upright position.
CAUTION ! AS YOU LIFT THE TREADMILL, LIFT WITH YOUR LEGS NOT YOUR BACK. IN
ORDER TO RAISE THE TREADMILL SAFELY YOU MUST 8E ABLE TO LIFT 45 POUNDS
(20 KG). IT IS SUGGESTED YOU USE THE AID OF A SECOND PERSON WHEN RAISING
THE TREADMILL INTO THE UPRIGHT POSITION.

The treadmill should only be used on a level surface with a minimum of
eight feet clearance behind the unit.
It is recommended that a mat be placed under the treadmill to protect floor or carpet from damage.

Before connecting power cord to surge protector (see HOW TO

TO REDUCE THE POSSIBILITY OF INJURY WHILE
LIFTING, BEND YOUR LEGS AND KEEP YOUR BACK STRAIGHT.
AS YOU RAISE THE
TREADMILL.
LIFT USING YOUR LEGS NOT YOUR BACK IN ORDER TO RAISE OR LOWER
THE TREADMILL SAFELY YOU MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT 45 POUNDS (20 KG).

With the treadmill in the folded locked position, grasp the handrails and place one foot on base as shown _n illustration beiow.
Next with a firm grasp on handrails carefully tilt the treadmill back until it rolls freely on the wheels. Using extreme caution move treadmill to desired location.

Surge protectors can be purchased at most hardware stores and department stores.
Only use with a single outlet surge suppresser that is
UL 1449 listed as a Transient
Voltage Surge Suppresser

UL suppressed voltage rating of 4O0V or tess and a minimum surge dissapation of 450 Joules.
Electrically rated for 120 VAC, 15 Amps.
This treadmill must be grounded to reduce the risk of electrical shock.
Grounding
provides a path of least resistance for
electric
current, should the treadmill malfunction.

Always plug the power cord into a surge protector,
and
plug the surge protector into an appropriate outlet that is prop- erly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.
This product, is for use on a nominal 120 volt circuit, and has a grounding plug that looks like the plug illustrated in the drawing below.
A
temporary adapter that looks like the adapter below in drawing 2 can be used to connect to a surge protector to a 2-pole receptacle if
a
properly grounded outlet is not available.
This temporary adapter should be used only until a properly grounded outlet (see drawing below) can be installed by a qualified electrician.
The green-colored lug, or the like extending from the adapter must be connected to a permanent ground such as a propedy grounded outlet box cover.
Whenever the adapter is used, it must be held in place by a metal screw.
Some 2-pole receptacle outlet box covers are not grounded.
Contact a qualified electrician to insure the outlet box cover is grounded before using an adapter.

ALWAYS ADJUST THE SPEED OF THE TREADMILL IN SMALL INCREMENTS AS
THIS TREADMILL IS CAPABLE OF HIGH SPEEDS.

IF YOU ARE TAKING MEDICATION, CONSULT YOUR PHYSICIAN TO SEE IF THE
MEDICATION WILL AFFECT YOUR EXERCISE HEART RATE.

IF YOU HAVE HEART PROBLEMS, OR IF YOU ARE NOT ACTIVE, OR IF YOU ARE

USING YOUR ELECTRONICS.

This treadmill features a unique electronics package that allows you a choice of 4 different modes of
operation,
MANUAL MODE, FAT
BURN, CARDIO, PLATEAU.
When operating in each of these modes, the monitor will display
4 functions, INTERVAL TIME, WORKOUT
TIME, INCLINE, CALORIES, DISTANCE AND
MILES PER HOUR.-
MANUAL MODE OPERATION
1.
Attach the Safety Key to the Console then,
Press the POWER BUTTON to automatically set the electronics into the Manual Mode of operation.
The time window will flash 00:00.
2.
Press the STARTtSTOP BUTTON, the time window will count down 4 seconds and the walking belt wilt begin moving at preset factory settings.
Once the walking belt is moving the time window will begin to count up from 00:00 minutes.
3.
At this point you may change the speed of the treadmill by simply pressing the SPEED+/-
BUTTON to new desired speed.
The changed speed will be displayed in the MPH window.
Also you may change the elevation of the treadmill by simply .pressing
the INCLINE +i-
BUTTON to new desired elevation.
The
changed
elevation will be displayed in the IN-
CLINE window.
4.
TO END YOUR WORKOUT, you have 2 choices.
a,
Press the PAUSE BUTTON and the treadmill will gradually decrease the speed of the walking belt to 0.0
mph.
To restart the walking belt press the PAUSE BUTTON, the walking belt will gradually increase in speed to the setting it was operating before the pause button was pressed.
When in pause mode the
treadmill
will automatically power down if no button is pressed within a 5 minute time pedod, b.
Press the STARTISTOP BUTTON and the treadmill wilt gradually decrease the speed of the walking belt to 0.0
mph.
Press the
POWER BUTTON to turn off power to the treadmill.
PROGRAMING TIME,
SPEED AND
INCLINE
IN MANUAL MODE.
When
in Manual Mode Time, Speed, and Elevation may be programmed by the user prior to initiating belt movement to better suite your desires.
1.
Attach the Safety Key to the Console then,
TO PROGRAM TIME, press the POWER BUT-
TON the time window will flash 00.00 indicating total work out time is ready to program.
Next press the SPEED/TIME+I-BUTTONS to adjust the adjust the total workout time.
For example if you set the total workout time to be 30:00 minutes the electronic computer will automati- cally divide the total workout time into 10 intervals equaling 3 minutes each.
Next press the
ENTER BUTTON to save this change.
2.
TO PROGRAM SPEED, the speed window will be flashing indicating work out speed is ready to program.
Next press the SPEEDI
TIME +/- BUTTONS to adjust workout speed.

Also the treadmill will move to the programmed elevation, and time will start counting down from the programmed time.
You may at any time adjust the speed of the walking and incline grade by simply pressing the corresponding
SPEED +/- BUTTONS or INCLINE +/- BUT-
TONS.
Changes in speed will be displayed in the speed window, changes in incline will be displayed in the incline window.
Atthe conclusion of the programmed time, the electronics will beep 4 times, the time window will flash 00:00 and the calories/distance window will continue to accumulate values, Treadmill operation will continue until the Start/Stop Button is pressed.
If either the Speed+lButton or the Incline +/-
Buttons are pressed, the treadmill will continue operation in the manual mode and the time window will show accumulated time since the conclusion of programmed time.

Activate the calibration mode switch by inserting the eraser end of a pencil into the opening in backside of console and gently depressing switch.

Using the hex key provided, turn the left rear roller adjustment bolt 1/4 turn in the clockwise direction, Plug the power cord into the surge protector and re-attach the safety key
and run the treadmill a few minutes at approximately
2,5 mph.
Repeat the

procedure until the walking belt is centered, it may be necessary to set
walking
belt tension once you have completed this procedure.

"[he walking belt has been pre-lubed at the factory. However it is recommended for optimal performance, the walking board be checked periodically for lubrication.
Every 30 days or after 30 flours of operation raise the sides of the walking belt, and feel the top surface of the walking board as far under the belt as you can reach.
If you feet signs of silicone, then no further lubrication is required. If, however the walking board surface feels dry to the touch, additional lubrication should be applied, We recommend, for lubrication you use NAPA 8300 which is available through NAPA Auto Parts Slores, or Pyroil Silicone Lubricant which is available in most stores,
TO APPLY LUBRICATE TO THE WALKING BOARD:
1.
Position the walking belt so that the seam is located on top and in the center of walking board.
2.
Insert spray nozzle into spray head of lubricant can.
3.
While lifting the edge of walking belt, position the spray nozzle between walking belt and walking board
approximately 6" from the front of the treadmill.
Apply silicone lubricant to the walking board moving from front to rear of treadmill.
Note: SprR,y time should not exceed four seconds.
Repeat for other side of
