Featuring proprietary Injected Carbon Glass Matrix frames, patented formed glass-fiber Plus One ® (patent no. 7,548,631 B2) woofer cones and edge-driven fabric soft-dome tweeters on all models, the Infinity Kappa Series has what it takes to turn any car’s audio system into a high-fidelity lover’s dream system. Even the low-hysteresis polyproplyene capacitors and low-loss air-core inductors in the passive filter networks are special and ultra-high quality. Kappa Series has speakers for popular applications to upgrade your present system’s performance by simply replacing its speakers or fitting them in custom locations like kick panels, doors or rear decks. Round sizes in 5-1/4" (130mm) and 6-1/2"
(165mm), both coaxial and component models, as well as three oval sizes including a 4" x 6" component plate, a 5" x 7"/6" x 8" replacement-size speaker and a three-way 6" x 9" model are offered. The Kappa Series has it covered.
Glass-fiber speaker frames – Kappa automotive speakers benefit from light and strong composite materials. With the proprietary Injected Carbon Glass Martix frames, Kappa
Series speakers resist the environmental extremes of the car.
They offer superior rigidity even when mounted on uneven surfaces (common in car mounting locations) and exceptional damping of any resonances.
Plus One woofer cones – With a greater radiating area than conventional speakers of the same size, Plus One cones can play louder with smaller amplifiers, increase bass output to eliminate bothersome road noise and deliver increased performance, without making you modify your vehicle.
Edge-driven, textile-dome tweeter – The Kappa Series’ tweeter provides greater power handling and lower distortion than conventional tweeters, improves integration with the midrange/woofer driver and upgrades audio clarity and presence.
High-quality passive filter network – The passive filter components in the crossover network of the Kappa Series use only the best components including polypropylene capacitors, air-core inductors and high-quality resistors.
Soft-touch rubber finish grilles – Many of the Kappa Series speakers also come with upscale-looking protective grilles.
