USAGE:
HEATER OPERATION: Always operate the heater in the upright position following all instructions and recommendations listed in this manual HEATER
LOCATION: Place the heater in the area of the room that is coldest. HEATER CONNECTION: Plug heater directly into 120 volt A.C., 60 Hz wall outlet. Be sure plug fits tightly in outlet. A loose connection may cause overheating and damage to the plug or heater. NOTE:
To prevent overloading a circuit, do not plug the heater into a circuit that is servicing other electrical needs.

TURNING HEATER ON OR OFF: To start or stop the heater, press ON/OFF button on the control panel or remote control, red light indicates power on. Press the
HEAT button to activate the heating elements. (During the heaters initial use, you may experience a slight odor or smoking. This is the result of the heating element lubrication “burning off”. This is normal and will go away after a few minutes of use.)
POWER LEVEL: This heater has two heat settings:
LOW (700 watts) and HIGH (1000 watts). Simply press the HEAT button on the control panel or remote control to untill the desired setting is illuminated on the control panel. Use the higher setting (1000 watt) to raise the room temperature quickly. When the desired temperature is reached use the lower 700 watt setting.
It is usually sufficient to maintain a comfortable temperature.
OSCILLATION: The heater has an oscillation feature that rotates the heater from side to side. To use this feature, simply press the SWING button on the control panel or remote control.
HEATER HEAD ADJUSTMENT: With heater OFF, gently tilt the heater head forward or backward by grasping the heater head adjusting it to any available position. Do not force the heater head.
PEDESTAL ADJUSTMENT: The heater has an adjustable height pedestal. Simply press the button on the pedestal to adjust up or down.
REMOTE CONTROL: The remote control uses 2 AAA batteries (not included).The remote control operates the heater as if you are operating it from the control panel. Aim the remote towards rear of control panel for best reception.
TIMER FUNCTION: When powered ON, you can set the length of time until the heater will automatically turn OFF. The heater can turn off anywhere from 1/2 to
7-1/2 hours (in 1/2 hour increments). By pressing the
TIMER button repeatedly it will advance by 1/2 hour until the 7-1/2 hour maximum. While setting, you can calculate the selected time by adding up the value of the illuminated numbers. To turn OFF timer function, repeatedly press the TIMER button until timer indicator lights are off. WARNING: Using the TIMER function is not an excuse to leave the heater unattended.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Before initial use some assembly is required using a phillips screwdriver.
1. Remove assembly screws from rear of bracket on heater head. (See Fig.1)

2. Assemble pedestal base onto heater head using screws removed in Step #1 above. (See Fig. 2)
3. Place power cord through opening in the rear of pedestal base. Insert lip located in front of control panel into the groove in the front of the pedestal base. Press two parts together as shown in
Fig. 3. Be sure tip-over switch protrudes out of the heater base.

4. Securely screw the heater base to heater using plastic locknut.

IMPORTANT SAFETY FEATURES:
This heater is equipped with a safety tip-over switch located under the base of the heater to turn power off to the unit when the it tips over. To resume heater functions simply stand heater upright and turn power on.
This heater is also equipped with a safety temperature cutoff switch that will turn the heater off if it reaches an excessive temperature. To restart the heater if it has overheated, turn power off, unplug the unit for 10 minutes. Plug heater in and restart.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
As with all electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, or injury to persons, including the following precautions:
•Read all the instructions before using this heater.
•Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause electrical shock, fire or damage to persons or property.
•Do not operate the heater with a damaged power cord or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped in any manner.
•Do not leave heater unattended while on. Use of extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children, disabled persons or pets.
•Do not place the heater on a small, unlevel, uneven or any surface which might allow heater to tip or fall.
•For proper operation, heater should be placed on a smooth, non-combustible surface. Do not place on rugs or carpet.
•Always unplug heater when not in use.
•Do not operate the heater with heater guards or any safety device removed.
•Avoid the use of an extension cord because the extension cord may overheat and cause a risk of fire. However, if you have to use an extension cord, the cord shall be No. 14 AWG minimum size and rated not less than 1875 watts.
•Do not run power cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners or the like.
Arrange cord away from traffic area where it will not be tripped over.
WARNING: SHOCK HAZARD
Use your heater only in dry environments. This heater is not intended for use in a bathroom, laundry area, or similar locations, or near sinks, washing machines, swimming pools or other sources of water. Never locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container. Do not use heater outdoors. Do not use in damp environments such as flooded basements.
WARNING: HOT SURFACES
Do not touch body of heater when in use. This heater is hot when in use, to avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided, use handles when moving this heater.
WARNING: FIRE HAZARD
Heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use near combustible materials or flammable gases or sources of heat. DO NOT USE in areas where gasoline, paint or flammable materials are used or stored. Keep combustible materials such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked. Do not place the heater near a bed because objects such as pillows or blankets can fall off the bed and be ignited by the heater. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock, fire, or damage the heater.
WARNING: ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD
Do not use with damaged cord or plug. Use with adequate electrical system that is up to code.
The supply cord has a polarized plug. As a safety feature this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. To prevent electric shock, match wide blade of plug to wide slot, fully insert plug. If the plug does not fit contact a qualified electrician. Never use an extension cord unless plug can be fully inserted. DO NOT attempt to defeat this safety feature.
Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Do not operate heater with a broken heating element or ceramic cone or any visual imperfections. For repairs covered under warranty, see warranty statement. For all other repairs contact Comfort

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
CLEANING: CAUTION-Before cleaning the heater be sure to disconnect power cord and allow the heater to cool completely. This heater should be cleaned at least once a year to maintain proper performance. Clean the outside surface with a clean damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemical or abrasive cleaners. DO NOT
IMMERSE THE HEATER IN WATER. Allow heater to dry completely before use.
REPAIR: DO NOT OPERATE THE HEATER WITHOUT
THE GRILL IN PLACE. DO NOT USE THE HEATER IF
IT HAS MALFUNCTIONED OR BECOME DAMAGED
IN ANY WAY.
STORAGE: Keep original carton for storage of the heater. Coil and tie the power cord to avoid damage during storage.USAGE: Always operate the heater in the upright position following all instructions and recommendations listed in this manual. Save these instructions.

Products manufactured by Comfort Zone® are warranted to the original consumer to be free of defects in material and workmanship for twelve (12) months from the original date of purchase. The warranty does not cover products modified outside our factory, damage or failure caused by acts of
God, abuse, misuse, abnormal usage, faulty installation, failure to follow suggested maintenance procedures enclosed with this product (as defined by Magnuson-Moss Warranty-Federal Trade
Commission lmprovement Act) This unit is guaranteed to the original retail purchaser against defects in quality or workmanship for a period of one year from the date of original purchase. If this unit fails because of a manufacturing defect within 30 days of purchase, return the unit, with your receipt, to the retailer. After 30 days, but within the warranty period, if the unit was purchased within the continental united States, return it, freight prepaid, to Comfort Zone®. for repair or replacement. If the unit was purchased outside the continental united States, return the unit to the place of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage due to accidents, operation on other than 120 volts, 60 hertz, AC. current, or any other abuse. All implied warranties, including the warranties of merchantability and of fitness of purpose, if applicable, are hereby limited in duration to the period of one year from the date of original retail purchase. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not apply to you. Incidental or consequential damages arising from a breach of either express or implied warranties are hereby disclaimed and excluded.
