System requirements

• Windows ME/2000/XP

• Pentium 166 MHz or higher,

• USB port

• CD ROM drive

For transferring still images, or for videoconference, your computer must have a modem and communication software for internet connection.

Hardware Installation

NOTE: Please install the software before plugging the camera into the USB port!

• The driver installation procedure is the same for all supported OS’s

• Insert the CD-Rom in your CD-Rom drive. The CD-Rom should start automatically, choose ‘Driver’.

• The Install shield wizard starts, click Install

• The installation is completed, click Finish

• Connect the Sitecom EasyCam to your USB port.

• Windows will detect the camera.

• Click Next, and select ‘Install the software automatically’.

• Click Finish to complete the installation of the drivers

• Next Windows 2000 will ask you to reboot the computer, click yes

Adjusting the image

• Via start/programs you can start the AMcap utility

• Click the options tab in AMcap to adjust the video capture properties and video capture filter

Arcsoft Video Impression

• Insert the CD-Rom in your CD-Rom drive. The CD-Rom should start automatically, choose ‘ArcSoft Video Impression’

• Choose your language

• The InstallShield wizard will start, click ‘next’.

• Read the license agreement, click ‘yes’.

• Accept the standard installation folder or click browse to change the destination folder, click ‘next’.

• Accept the default Programs folder, click ‘next’.

• The installation is completed, click ‘Finish’.

• Run video impression via start/programs

• Choose ‘Create a New Video’

• Choose ‘Capture From Device’

• You’ll see a preview of the image. Click ‘record’ to start capturing the video, and to save the video to hard disk.

• If you have Windows XP, you can also use windows moviemaker to capture or edit your video files. See the help file of Moviemaker for more information.

Using the Sitecom USB EasyCam with MSN

MSN is the most popular direct messenger. You can chat with your friends and relatives online. Using the Sitecom USB EasyCam they can also see you, even hear your voice!

• Right click the person in your contact list and select ‘start video conversation’. The first time the audio and video tuning wizard will start, click ‘next’.

• Select the USB PC Camera, click ‘next’

• Adjust the position of the camera until it shows the image you want your contact to see, click ‘next’.

• If you have the Sitecom USB VoiceCam VP-004, select the USB Camera as microphone. If you use the Sitecom USB EasyCam VP-003 you need an additional microphone for voice conversation, click ‘next’.

• Test your speakers to receive audio and click ‘next’.

• Adjust the microphone volume and click ‘next’.

• Click ‘Finish’ to close the wizard. You can now start a video conversation with people in your contact list.
