Honda ST1300 NT700V Accessory Socket Installation Instructions

The Honda Accessory Socket ST1300, NT700V is a 12V DC accessory socket that can be used to power a variety of accessories, such as GPS units, cell phone chargers, and heated gear. The socket is installed on the motorcycle's bodywork and is connected to the motorcycle's electrical system. The socket is equipped with a safety label that should be attached to the inside of the pocket lid once installation is complete.

• The Quartet Harness (P/N 08A30-MCS-100) which is sold separately is required to install the Accessory

Socket Kit.

• Disconnect the negative cable from the battery before installing this accessory.

• The tripmeter and clock will be reset when you disconnect the battery.

Remove the right pocket lid from the right middle cowl.

Using a marker and ruler, measure and mark the right pocket lid as shown.

Install the accessory socket in the 32 mm hole you just made, then attach the safety label to the inside of the pocket lid in the area shown.

• Remove the fuse box cover before routing the socket ring.

Using an electric drill motor and hole saw, drill a 32 mm hole through the mark you just made.

• Remove any burrs from the edge of the hole.

Thoroughly clean the area where the safety label will be attached.

Reinstall the right pocket lid on the right body cowl in the reverse order of removal.

7.

Route and connect the socket harness to the quartet harness as shown.

Connect the accessory socket as shown, then reinstall the right body cowl in the reverse order of removal. Secure the wire harnesses with the wire ties in the areas shown.

NOTE:

• The sub harness kit (P/N 08A30-MEW-100) which is sold separately, is required to install the Accessory

Socket Kit.

• Disconnect the negative cable from the battery before installing this accessory.

• The tripmeter and clock will be reset when you disconnect the battery.

Remove the seat and left side cover from the motorcycle as shown.
