Wearing headphones while driving a car or riding a bicycle can create a traffic hazard and could be illegal in some areas. FCC Statement Your radio might cause TV or radio interference even when it is operating properly. To determine whether your radio is causing the interference, turn it off. If the interference goes away, your radio is causing it. Antenna — connect for the best FM/TV reception 2 AA Batteries (Cat. No. 23-552) VOLUME — rotate to adjust the volume (see “Listening Safely”) Phone — for connecting stereo headphones with a 1/8-inch plug • Match the polarity symbols (+ and –) marked inside. • Always use fresh batteries of the required size. Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries (standard, alkaline, or rechargeable), or rechargeable batteries of different capacities. 1. Tune to the desired station. 2. Press MEMORY. TUNING — press s or t t o select your favorite station; press for 1 second to scan stations Headphone/Speaker — slide to to use the headphones, and to to use the speaker. Cautions: STORING STATIONS POWER — press to turn the radio on and off. To save batteries, the radio automatically turns off after 60 minutes. 3. While M flashes, repeatedly press SELECT to choose a memory location. 4. Press MEMORY again. To tune stored stations, repeatedly press BAND — press to select AM, FM, or TV SELECT. To scan stored stations, press for 1 second.
