Owner`s Manual
Multimedia Headset
OWNER’S MANUAL — Please read before using this equipment.
Your RadioShack Multimedia Headset delivers full frequency coverage for use with your
multimedia computer. The headset is lightweight and has a self-adjusting inner headband for a good fit. The flexible microphone
boom lets you rotate and bend the microphone to a comfortable position.
OPERATION
Caution: Turn down the volume on your
sound source before connecting the headset.
1. Rotate VOLUME on the headset’s cord to
its lowest level.
2. Insert the headset’s orange plug into the
1/8-inch (3.5-mm) stereo phone (speaker
out) jack on your PC’s sound card, and
the headset’s pink plug into the microphone jack on the sound card.
3. Put on the headset and adjust the headband and microphone boom for a comfortable fit. Be sure the black line on the
microphone’s housing faces your mouth.
4. Adjust the sound source’s volume to a
point between its middle and maximum
levels. Then adjust VOLUME on the
headset to a comfortable level.
5. Set ON/MUTE on the headset’s cord to
ON to turn on the microphone, or MUTE
to mute the microphone.
Listening Safely
To protect your hearing, follow these guidelines when you use a headset.
• Set the volume to the lowest setting
before you begin listening. After you
begin listening, adjust the volume to a
comfortable level.
• Do not listen at extremely high volume
levels. Extended high-volume listening
can lead to permanent hearing loss.
• Once you set the volume, do not
increase it. Over time, your ears adapt
to the volume level, so a volume level
that does not cause discomfort might
still damage your hearing.
CARE
Keep the headset dry; if it gets wet, wipe it
dry immediately. Use and store the headset
only in normal temperature environments.
Handle the headset carefully; do not drop it.
Keep the headset away from dust and dirt,
and wipe it with a damp cloth occasionally to
keep it looking new.
Modifying or tampering with the headset’s internal components can cause a malfunction
and might invalidate its warranty. If your
headset is not performing as it should, take it
to your local RadioShack store for assistance.
