Safety Precautions for your BodyBare Diva
• Keep out of the reach of children.
• Do not use if the tweezers are broken or damaged.
• The appliance must only be used as described in this booklet.
• This appliance is for household use only.
• Do not immerse the product in water or any other liquid.
Important instructions – retain for future use.
• If the appliance is not to be used for long periods, remove the batteries before storing.
• Once the batteries are dead, remove immediately and replace.
• If you suffer from any of the following conditions, please see your health care provider
before using the Emjoi BodyBare Diva – acne, moles, diabetes, during pregnancy, eczema,
hemophilia, immune deficiency, psoriasis, varicose veins or wounds.
• Do not use this unit where it can come into contact with the scalp, clothing and shoelaces
to avoid personal injury and damage to the unit.
• Use only on clean, dry skin.
• This product has not been designed for use on the eyebrows.
• As this is a personal care product, we recommend that it is used by one person only.
• The Emjoi BodyBare Diva has been specifically designed for use on delicate areas.
However, use of an epilator may cause reddening or irritation to the skin. This is a normal
reaction which will quickly disappear. However if the irritation remains for more than three
days, please see your health care practitioner.
Ensure that the above safety precautions are understood.

Using your Emjoi BodyBare Diva
Inserting the batteries
• Open the battery cover.
• Insert 2 x AAA batteries as indicated inside the battery compartment.
• When the batteries are in position, replace the battery cover.
Using your Emjoi BodyBare Diva
• Before using Emjoi BodyBare Diva for the first time, we recommend that you
familiarise yourself with how the appliance feels on the skin. Try the unit on the
back of the hand before using it on delicate areas such as the face.
• Ensure that the skin is clean and dry. Do not use over body lotions or moisturisers.
Use in a location that has a comfortable temperature to avoid perspiration.
• When removing hair it is very important to hold the skin very taut to avoid pinching.
• The appliance can be used to remove individual facial hair, on the upper lip, chin
and cheek area.
• Important: Take extra care when using the Emjoi BodyBare Diva on the upper lip.
Hold the skin very taut by gently pulling down on the area with your fingers.
• Do not use the Emjoi BodyBare Diva on eyebrows. It can be used in between your
eyebrows.
• It can also be used on legs, underarms and the bikini line as a touch up.
• If hair is longer than 5mm, trim with scissors before use.
• To turn on the appliance, press the on/off switch safety lock and at the same time slide
it up to the position labelled .
• Once the appliance is in the on position hold at a 90 degree angle to the area you
wish to remove hair, and glide it in short quick strokes against the direction of the hair
growth.
• There is no need to apply pressure. If too much pressure is applied, the Emjoi
BodyBare Diva is designed to stop.
• To turn the appliance off slide the on/off switch down to the off position labelled .
Replacing your batteries
• To replace batteries, slide the battery cover from its original position then remove the
old batteries and replace them with new batteries (make sure that you insert batteries
into your device properly, with the + (plus) and – (minus) terminals aligned correctly.)
Finally slide the cover back on. Different types of batteries or new and used batteries are not to be mixed.
• If Alkaline batteries are used, they can be safely disposed of with normal household
waste when exhausted. If unsure, contact your local council with regards to battery
disposal practice in your area. Never dispose of batteries in fire as they could explode.
• Always wear eye protection and gloves when dealing with leaking batteries.

Care and Cleaning
• Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
• To clean the exterior, simply wipe over with a dampened cloth and wipe dry.
• After each use gently remove hairs from the tweezers using the cleaning brush supplied.
• Occasionally clean the tweezers by wiping with a cotton bud that has been dipped in alcohol.
Remove any residue alcohol before using again.

and New Zealand by Sunbeam Corporation Limited.
Should you experience any difficulties with your appliance,

Alternatively, you can send a written claim to Sunbeam at
the address listed below. On receipt of your claim, Sunbeam
will seek to resolve your difficulties or, if the appliance
is defective, advise you on how to obtain a replacement
or refund.
Your Sunbeam 12 Month Replacement Guarantee naturally
does not cover misuse or negligent handling and normal
wear and tear.
Similarly your 12 Month Replacement Guarantee does not
cover freight or any other costs incurred in making a claim.
Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase.
The benefits given to you by this guarantee are in addition to
your other rights and remedies under any laws which relate
to the appliance.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded
under the Australian Consumer Law and under the New
Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act.
In Australia you are entitled to a replacement or refund for a
major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably
foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have
the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of
acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to
a major failure.
Should your appliance require repair or service after
the guarantee period, contact your nearest Sunbeam
service centre.
