INPUT SENSITIVITY (1)
Maximum input gain (minimum
sensitivity rating) is achieved at the
full clockwise setting. A setting of
less than full clockwise will yield
lower system noise at the expense of
headroom. Calibration indicates
sensitivity in volts/dBV necessary
to attain full available output.
OPERATION NOTE:
The input sensitivity rating of a
power amplifier is the voltage level
required to drive the amplifier to full
output. Calibration in dBV allows
the mixer operator to “monitor” the
power amplifier status by observing
the dBV level of the mixer LED
arrays (on mixers so equipped).
DDT™ COMPRESSION
The amplifier is equipped with the
patented DD'T™ compression cireuit
(U.S. Patent 4,318,053). The com-
pression circuit eliminates audible
power amp clipping, reduces distor-
tion, and protects the loudspeaker.
INPUT SENSITIVITY (1)
(Eingangs-Empfindlichkeit)
Die maximale Eingangs-Verstär-
kung (niederste Empfindlichkeit)
wird bei voll im Uhrzeigersinn
geüffneten Regler erreicht. Bei
weniger geöffnetem Regler wird eine
Verminderung des Rauschens er
reicht, allerdings auf Kosten der
Übersteuerungsfestigkeit . Die auf
gedruckte Kalibrierung zeigt die
benötigte Empfindlichkeit in
Volt/dBV an, um die volle Aus-
gangsleistung zu erreichen.
OPERATION NOTE:
(ANWENDUNGS-HINWEIS:)
Die Eingangs-Empfindlichkeit der
Endstufe stellt die Spannung in Volt
dar, welche benötigt wird, um die
volle Ausgangsleistung des Ver-
stärkers zu erreichen, Die Kali-
brierung in dBY erlaubt dem Be-
diener, den Zustand der Endstufe
durch Beobachten der LED-Anzeige
am Mischpult zu beurteilen, falls
dieses entsprechend ausgerüstet ist.
DDT™ COMPRESSION
(DDT"“-Kompression)
Der Verstärker ist mit Peavey's
patentierter DDT™-Kompression
versehen (U.S. Patent 4,318,053).
Die Kompressions-Schaltung ver-
hindert hérbares Clipping der
Endstufe, reduziert Verzerrungen

La ganancia máxima de entrada
(grado máxima de sensibilidad) es
alcanzado girando el control com-
plemente a la derecha, Si no se
coloca el control completamente ala
derecha producirá conjuntos mas

OPERATION NOTE:
(Nota De Operacion)
El grado de sensibilidad de entrada
de un amplificador es el nivel de
valtage requerido para hacer fun-
clonar un amplificador a su poten-
cia máxima, La calibración en dBY
permite al operador de la mezcla-

clipping distortion is occuring.
OPERATION NOTE:
Itis normal for the DDT" LED(s) to
flash occasionally during amplifier
operation. If the LED(s) remain on
continuously, additional headroom
is needed. In some cases, this may
mean that the particular applica-
tion requires a more powerful am-
plifier.
LED LEVEL INDICATOR (4)
A calibrated LED) array is provided
to visually indicate both the power
utilized (in percentage) and head-
room remaining (in dB).
The bottom LED is illuminated
whenever AC power is applied as a
pilot indicator.
POWER SWITCH (5)
Depress to “On” position to turn on.
OPERATION NOTE:
This unit is equipped with automa-
tic resetting thermal protection, If
extremely high operating tempera-
tures cause the protection circuit to
engage, the pilot LED(s) will cease
illuminating and the fan will conti-
nue to run. Once it has cooled suf-
ficiently the protection circuit
will disengage and the amplifier
will be re-enabled. Continued ther
mal cycling indicates a load pro-
blem exists (shorted cable or the
total speaker load is too low), or
there is inadequate ventilation,
DDT™ ACTIVE LED (3)
(DDT" Aktiv LED)
Leuchtet auf, sobald die DDT"“-

gel aktiviert wird. Bei ausgeschal-
teter DD'T"-Kompression (Enable,

zeigt ein Aufleuchten an, daß zu
diesem Zeitpunkt Verzerrungen
(Clipping) entstehen.
OPERATION NOTE:
(ANWENDUNGS-HINWEIS:)
Ein zeitweiliges Aufleuchten der
DDT"-LED(s) ist normal. Ein
stándiges Aufleuchten der LED(s)
hingegen bedeutet, daB die Uber-
steuerungsreserve der Endstufe er-
schöpft ist, und daß für diese
Anwendung eine stärkere Endstufe
eingesetzt werden sollte.
LED LEVEL INDICATOR (4)

OPERATION NOTE:
(ANWENDUNGS-HINWEIS:)
Dieses Gerät ist mit einem Uber
hitzungsschutz mit automatischer
Rickstellung ausgeriistet. Beim
Auftreten extrem hoher Betriebs-
temperaturen wird der Schutz ak-
tiviert und das Gerät ausgeschaltet.
Dabel erlöschen auch die Pilot-
LED(s), während der Ventilator
eingeschaltet bleibt. Nach aus-
reichender Abkühlung wird der
Schutz aufgehoben und das Gerät
wieder eingeschaltet. Eine ständig
wiederkehrende Aktivierung des
Schutzes deutet auf ein Ausgangs-
Problem (Kabel-Kurzschluss,
Gesamt-Impedanz des/der ange-
schlossenen Lautsprecher zu nie-
der), oder auf ungenügende Ven-
tilation (Hitzestau).
DDT™ ACTIVE LED (3)

tion du circuit de compression
{quand Vinterrupteur de DDT" est
en “Marche”, soit Vapparition d'un
écrêtage dû à un trop fort niveau
(quand l'interrupteur de DDT" est
sur “Arrét™),
OPERATION NOTE:
(Note)
LEVEL INDICATOR (4)
(Indicateur de niveau)
Echelle de diodes calibrée qui in-
dique à la fois la puissance utilisée
(en pourcentage) et la rèserve dis-
ponible (en dB). La diode du bas,
témoin de mise en route, s'allume
dès que la tension secteur est ap-
pliquée ál'appareil.
POWER SWITCH (5)

NOTE:
Cet appareil est équipé d’une protec-
tion thermique à réarmement auto-
matique. Au cas où la température
de fonctionnement dépasserait la
limite autorisée, la protection arrê-
tera l'appareil, éteindra la diode et
maintiendra le ventilateur. Après
refroidissment, l'appareil se remet-
tra en route de lui-même.
Des arrêts répétés indiquent un pro-
blème à la sortie (câble en court-
circuit ou impédance de charge trop
faible), ou une ventilation insuf-
fisante.
DDT™ ACTIVE LED (3)
(DDT" Led Activo)
Se ilumina cuando el DDT está fun-
cionando. Con el switch de activar
desactivar en la posiciôn de desac-
tivado la luz (led) se iluminará
cuando el mixer esté distorsionan-
do.
OPERATION NOTE:
(Nota De Operacion:)
Es normal para el DDT” (foco
indicador) prender ocasionalmente
durante una operación normal. Si la
pantalla digital permanece encen-
dida continuamente, es necesario
mas “headroom”. En algunos casos
se requerirá de un amplificador con
más poder.
LED LEVEL INDICATOR (4)
(Focos Indicador De Nivel)
Una linea de focos indicadores es
provista para indicar visualmente
tanto el poder utilizado (en porcen-
taje) como el “headroom” disponi-
ble expresado en DB.
La parte inferior de la linea se
ilumina siempre que esté conectado
el aparato.
POWER SWITCH (5)
(Power Switch)
Presione éste interruptor para en-
cender el aparato.
OPERATION NOTE:
(Nota De Operacion)
Esta unidad esta equipada con un
protector térmico de reencendido
automático. Si temperaturas extre-
madamente altas son alcanzadas se
activará el circuito protector, apa-
gando el foco piloto con el ventila-
dor funcionando.
