In October 2003, the European Union (EU) issued
a directive
restricting the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic
equipment. Starting in July 2006, RoHS prohibits the use of six specific
hazardous substances*2 in products sold in EU member nations.
Panasonic has decided to eliminate use of these substances from all
Panasonic products sold worldwide and is working to eliminate them

From the 1980s attention has been called to the hazardous effects of
lead solder used as a joinder in electric appliances. In response,
Panasonic began to develop joinder technology to produce lead-free
solder and in October of 1998, for the first time in the world, released a
portable MD player that uses lead-free solder in the printed circuit
board (PCB). After this, Panasonic announced that the company would
phase out the use of lead solder in all its products and is encouraging
to do the same.

What is an infrared wireless microphone system ?
It is a wireless system utilizing infrared rays in the light range. Infrared rays are blocked by light-blocking materials
such as walls. This characteristic leads three big advantages.

This product is the device which receives the infrared transmitted
from PLL Infrared Wireless Microphone (WX-LT100E, WX-LT310E)
(hereinafter, Microphone). It is possible to receive the channel
(WX-LR100E/A : 1ch/2ch, WX-LR100E/B : 3ch/4ch) of two
waves at the same time with two tuners.
Infrared is used in this product, and the interference from
adjacent rooms will not occur.
In conbination with this appliance, two microphones are
available, such as Hand-held type microphone (WX-LT100E)
and Pendant type microphone (WX-LT310E), of which
Pendant type microphone (WX-LT310E) is able to control
audio output volumes of this product.
This product is a infrared sensor which receives infrared

1. In order to drive a compact IC completing the circuit, stable voltage higher than
2.3V is necessary. DC-DC amplification technology with ultrahigh performance
is a core issue, and was applied to various products by Panasonic in 1980.
2. Ultraprecise board assembly technology is the key to product value, thus it is all the
more a factor in product features. Installation of compact CMOS chip components
realizes an unprecedented compact and lightweight wireless microphone.
In the past, it was necessary to use a variety of equipment including wireless receivers, mixers, amplifiers, etc. when
wireless microphones were used at meetings. However now, the Panasonic developed wireless public address system has
greatly improved upon traditional technology. If a wireless receiver with a built-in amplifier such as the WS-X66F1 or WSX77F1/WS-X77F2 is adopted, wireless public addressing can be realized, along with space-saving.

Adoption of the interference-resistant UHF
bandwidth
Conventional wireless microphones adopt the VHF and UHF
bandwidths. Because the wavelength of UHF is shorter than that
of VHF, its antenna is also relatively shorter, thus enabling better
aesthetic design. Transmitter size is minimized through low power
demand. Moreover, the number of receiving frequencies is also
increased. And the higher electric wave noise that appears during
wireless microphone transmission (the higher frequency), the lower
level of noise. Based on factors as such as these, the Panasonic
wireless public address system utilizes the UHF bandwidth.

1. There are two types of wireless microphone antennas: the built-in type and the external type.
After adopting the 800MHz frequency (1990), Panasonic stands by the idea of developing built-in

Consummate wave diffusion ensures audio quality
The aligned structure of traditional speakers may increase radiated disturbance, leading to unnatural sound. RAMSA
utilizes the waves of speakers in solving that problem with computer simulation. Disturbing waves are decreased to a minimum
in order to fully realize the original sound. The high frequency drive unit utilizes the novel SCWG (Square Contour Wave Guide)
unit. Generic rectangular speakers radiate sound waves of a diamond shape, so using such speakers may result in disturbance,
frequency changes, and phase counteraction (see diagram). Hence, in order to avoid that, RAMSA’s specific SCWG unit is
shaped with circular radiation to control dispersion within an angle of 45˚ in the horizontal, vertical, and diagonal ranges.
In this way, a SCWG unit may operate within shorter intervals and avoid frequency disturbance and phase counteraction.
SCWC speakers can smoothly distribute sound pressure in a wide frequency range and enhance sound definition.

Array type speakers are a vertical
stack of speaker units with similar
operating characteristics.
The goal of stacking speaker units in
this way is to create a line instead of
point sound source.
Point source speakers radiate sound in the form of a
sphere, dispersing sound vertically as well as horizontally.
Each time the distance from the speaker doubles,
the surface of the sphere increases four times,
reducing sound energy by one-fourth.
In contrast, an array type speaker is a line source from
which sound radiates in the form of a section of
a cylinder with no vertical dispersion. As the distance from
the speaker doubles, the area of the cylinder doubles,
reducing sound energy by only one-half.

a directive
restricting the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic
equipment. Starting in July 2006, RoHS prohibits the use of six specific
hazardous substances*2 in products sold in EU member nations.
Panasonic has decided to eliminate use of these substances from all
Panasonic products sold worldwide and is working to eliminate them

From the 1980s attention has been called to the hazardous effects of
lead solder used as a joinder in electric appliances. In response,
Panasonic began to develop joinder technology to produce lead-free
solder and in October of 1998, for the first time in the world, released a
portable MD player that uses lead-free solder in the printed circuit
board (PCB). After this, Panasonic announced that the company would
phase out the use of lead solder in all its products and is encouraging
to do the same.
