BEFORE EACH USE
* Select a firm, level, and flat surface to place the air purifier. For proper air
flow, locate the unit at least 3 feet away from any wall or furniture.
* Do not place the unit in close proximity to electronic devices that are
sensitive to electrical fields.
* Do not place the unit on metal shelving. Air purifier may be placed on floor,
nightstand, table or desk. Make sure the outlet grill faces away from the
nearest wall or furniture & that the intake and outlet grills are not blocked.
* Plug into a grounded 120V outlet. (See SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS)
FILTER REPLACEMENT
* Tum off and unplug the purifier from the
power outlet.
* Use the rear door latch to remove the back
panel, then gently pull each filter towards
you to remove from the unit.
* Discard the old HEPA filter, do not attempt
to clean it. Insert the new HEPA filter, then
replace the washable particle filter.
* Replace the back panel by placing the
bottom tab into the slot & gently closing
the door. DO NOT force the door to close.
It should be flush with the purifier body.

OPERATION & FEATURES
OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1 » Turn control knob to desired setting:
- Select LOW setting for whisper quiet operation or use in bedrooms
- Select MED setting to operate the purifier in continuous use
- Select HIGH when there arehigh levels of air pollutants to quickly filter the room
2 * The Power Indicator Light will illuminate red and the UV Indicator Light will
illuminate blue when the power is ON. (If the power indicator light is illuminated
and the UV light is not, the UV light needs to be replaced)

PURIFIER FILTRATION FEATURES:
LEVEL 1: Washable Particle Filter
* The foam particle filter extends the life of the HEPA filter by removing large
particles before they can get to the HEPA filter. Keeping this filter clean will
help to extend the HEPA filter and improve the overall purifier efficiency.
LEVEL 2: True HEPA Filter
* The inlet grill of the purifier draws in dirty air. The True HEPA Filter removes at
least 99.97° of all particles as small as 0.3 microns. Allergens such as pollen,
smoke, animal dander, mold spores, and dust get trapped in this filter.
LEVEL 3: Active Carbon Filter
* This filter captures particles and absorbs common household odors caused
from tobacco, pets, garbage, and cooking.
LEVEL 4: Photocatalyst Filter
* In conjunction with the internal germicidal UV light, the photocatalyst filter
creates an advanced oxidation eliminating airborne odors and neutralizing
harmufl fumes.
LEVEL 5: Germicidal UV Light
* The Ultraviolet light prevents germs from growing in the HEPA filter and kills
viruses or bacteria along with the other airborne pollutants and microns.
MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION.
Always be sure the purifier is unplugged and switched off before
cleaning, removing filters or UV light, or attempting to store the item.
NEVER PLUG OR UNPLUG THE PURIFIER WITH WET HANDS.
CLEANING THE WASHABLE PARTICLE FILTER:
1. Follow instructions on page 3 to remove the foam particle filter.
2. Rinse the filter by hand using only warm water.
DO NOT place in dishwasher
DO NOT use hard solvents or detergents.
3. Particle filter must be thoroughly dry before replacing into the purifier.
CLEANING THE AIR PURIFIER:
NOTE: No part of the air purifier should be placed in the dishwasher.
1. Always unplug the unit before cleaning.
2. The exterior of the unit may be cleaned by wiping with a damp cloth.
DO NOT allow water to get into the intake and outlet grills.
DO NOT use gasoline, polish or any chemical solution to clean the purifier.
3. The intake and outlet grills can be cleaned of dust with a small soft brush.
4. To lightly clean the inside of the purifier, remove all filters and use only a
dry, soft cloth to lightly wipe down.
STORAGE OF YOUR PURIFIER
* Store in a dry location
* Do not place any heavy items on top of the purifier to avoid damage
* Store the cord in a clean, dry location away from metal objects.
* Always check the plug before use to assure metal items have not become
attached.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
DO NOT attempt to repair the air purifier yourself.
If the purifier continues to not operate, please contact Crane Customer Care.
PURIFIER DOES NOT OPERATE
* Make sure the intake grill rear door is locked into place. The bottom tab needs to be fully
engaged in the slot before shutting the grill. There is an automatic safety shut-off if this
door is not shut completely.
* Make sure the control knob is at either the LOW, MED or HIGH setting.
THE AIR FLOW IS REDUCED
* Make sure the intake and outlet grills are not blocked.
BLUE UV LIGHT IS NOT ILLUMINATED
+ Check if the UV Light is illuminated by placing the purifier in a dark room. If a faint blue
illumination is not visible from the grills, the UV bulb may be bumed out.
REPLACING THE UV LIGHT:
Replacement UV Bulbs are available for purchase at www.crane-usa.com.
ALWAYS turn off & unplug the purifier first. Use caution when handling UV light to prevent
accidental breaking of the bulb. NEVER touch the glass part of the light. Oil from fingers
will reduce the germicidal performance. ALWAYS use gloves or handle the light by the
metal area only.
DO NOT use a vacuum to pick up broken bulb glass or handle broken bulb with your
hands. Sweep debris into a plastic bag and dispose properly. Contact your local waste
management authority for instruction regarding recycling and proper disposal.

THIS AIR PURIFIER IS NOT A TOY!
Do not let your child play with this purifier. Serious injury and electrocution might be
possible. This purifier has to be operated by an adult only. Children should be supervised to
ensure they do not play with the purifier.
SAVE ALL INSTRUCTIONS!
CAUTION: A short Power Supply Cord is provided to reduce the risk of personal injury resulting
from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords are available from
local hardware stores and may be used if care is exercised in their use. If an extension cord is
required, special care and caution is necessary. Also, the extension cord must be (1) marked with
an electrial rating of 125V and at least 13A., 1625W., and (2) the cord must be arranged so it will
nat a over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or accidentally
ripped over.
ELECTRIC POWER
If the electric circuit is overloaded by other appliances, your purifier and/or appliances may not
operate properly. The purifier should be operated on a separate electrical circuit from other
operating appliances.
POLARIZED PLUG
This purifier has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety
feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized
outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still
does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
SAFETY WARNING
Although your purifier is easy to operate, for your safety, the below warnings must be followed:
1. Do not place purifier near a heat source.
Never leave the purifier unattended while connected to the electrical outlet.
To avoid any accidents, never cover any grills while purifier is in operation.
Use the purifier on a stable surface away from water.
Do not unplug from the wall socket by pulling on the supply cord.
The purifier must be unplugged:
A. Before any cleaning or maintenance is performed
B. After each use

ensure safety and reliability. Before using for the first time, please read the instructions
carefully and keep them for further reference.

1. To avoid fire and shock hazard, plug the appliance directly into a 120V AC electrical outlet.
2. Never operate the unit with a damaged cord or plug.
3. Keep cord out of heavy traffic areas. To avoid fire hazard, NEVER put the cord under rugs, or
near heat registers, radiators, stoves, or heaters.
4. Always place the air purifier where it is not easily knocked over by persons in household.
5. Never touch the air purifier with wet hands. ALWAYS plug and unplug unit with dry hands.
6. Do not operate the product in any greasy environment such as a kitchen. This product is not
intended to filter oil or grease from air.
7. Do not use air purifier in bathrooms or other humid environments, near fireplaces or in areas
where flammable or combustible vapors or products may exist.
8. Always unplug the power cord from electrical outlet when the air purifier is not in use, before
cleaning, inserting or removing parts or before moving to another location.
9. NEVER run air purifier until it is fully assembled.
10. NEVER drop or insert any object into any openings.
11. Use appliance only for the intended household use as described in this manual. Do not use
outdoors.
12. Never use the power cord to pick up, carry, drag, pull, or lift the air purifier. Do not pull the
cord against or around sharp comers or edges. This could result in injury t&o the user and/or
damage the cord.
13. Never pull on the cord itself to unplug from power outlet.
14. ALWAYS tum unit off before unplugging.
15. Never block the air openings, or place on soft surface, such as a bed or sofa, as this could
cause the unit to tip over thus blocking the air intake opening.
16. DO NOT place anything on top of unit.
17. NEVER use detergents, gasoline, glass cleaner, paint thinner or other household solvents to
clean any part of the unit.
18. Always place the unit on a smooth, flat, level surface, and away from direct sunlight. Keep
the cord away from heated surfaces and areas where it could be walked on or tripped over.
Unplug the unit when not in use and whenever you clean or move the unit.
Germicidal UV Light Information
19. NEVER look directly at the UV Light while it is illuminated - doing so could cause temporary or
chronic damage to your eyesight or may even result in loss of vision. UV Light is harmful to bare
skin and eyes. To prevent exposure to ultraviolet light, disconnect the power to the unit before
servicing any part of the air purifier. NEVER operate air purifier if the housing is damaged or
cracked.
20. DISPOSAL - If the UV light breaks, turn unit off. NEVER operate the unit with a broken UV light.
DO NOT use a vacuum to pick up broken bulb glass or handle broken bulb with your hands.
