print out bubble sheets (answer sheets and grading sheets) and worksheets using an
ATI-supported scanner and compatible printer. (Check the Galileo K-12 System
Requirements page for supported scanners.) These sheets are scanned into Galileo
using Scanline.

since these sheets include the name of
each student and their class along
with a unique student/class
identification bar code.
 Test must be scheduled.
 Use the Galileo-supported scanner and
compatible printer to print bubble
sheets. A laser printer may also be
used.
 Print a sample answer sheet (Printer
Test Sheet) to check the quality and
layout before printing bubble sheets
for all students.
2. Click the Print Bubble Sheets link.
3. Select the Class. District- and
School-level users may select the
“[All classes scheduled for test]”
option.
4. (optional) Select the grade.
5. Select the test Library.
6. Select the Test.
7. Select the Student(s). You can use
the Select All or Deselect All links.
TESTING SCANNER
Before generating bubble sheets, it is
important that you print one sample
answer sheet (Printer Test Sheet) out to
verify that the key elements are printed
correctly and that it will scan the
answers correctly. (Refer to the Scanline
Plain-Paper manual for further details.)
1. Click Assessment>Print Test
Materials.
2. Click the Print Bubble Sheets link.
3. Click the click here link at the top of
this page.
4. A sample test answer sheet (Printer
Test Sheet) is generated. Print at
least five (5) copies of this sheet to
the scanner printer.
5. Run all the test sheets through the
same scanner that will be used for
the students’ sheets.
6. After you scanned these test sheets
address any errors prior to generating
bubble sheets. If no problems were
encountered, then you may print the
bubble sheets.
8. Select the test Schedule.
If the test has not yet been
scheduled, click either the Quick
Schedule or Go to Class Calendar link.
9. Click the Print Answer Sheet or Print
Grading Sheet button. If the test
contains both open response items
and fixed response items, print
answer sheets for students. Print the
grading sheets if the teacher will
score open response items offline.
10.Distribute the printed answer sheets
to the students during the scheduled
test time.
SCANNING
It is important that tests be scanned
using Scanline in the order they are
administered. Scanning should occur as
close as possible to the date of the test
administration to ensure that the growth
expectations are accurately calculated.
