The EDM-900/930 replaces all previous primary digital and/or analog instruments, including RPM, MAP, CHT, EGT, oil temperature, oil pressure, fuel pressure, and fuel flow.

The EDM-900/930 supports both resistive/voltage and capacitance fuel level senders, allowing for direct reading of fuel level in aircraft fuel tanks.

The RAD is a separate display located in front of the pilot that provides digital cautions and limit excedances when any parameter reaches its preset trigger point. It continuously displays MAP and RPM when no alarms are triggered.
